NEWTON, Iowa — May 24, 2012 — For the second consecutive year, Iowa Speedway is pleased to announce the Enlist™ Weed Control System from Dow AgroSciences as the presenting sponsor of the U.S. Cellular® 250 on Saturday, Aug. 4.

The Enlist Weed Control System will also continue as an official partner of Iowa Speedway for the 2012 racing season. The Aug. 4 race is the second NASCAR® Nationwide Series race.

“We are looking forward to another year of connecting with growers and friends of agriculture in Iowa and surrounding areas,” says Damon Palmer, Enlist Weed Control System U.S. commercial leader for Dow AgroSciences. “Last year was a great event and we’re looking forward to being back.”

The Enlist Weed Control System is a new herbicide-tolerant trait technology that will build on and improve the glyphosate-tolerant system and allow growers to keep farming the way they prefer. Pending regulatory approvals, Enlist will be available in corn for the 2013 crop year, followed by soybeans in 2015.

Iowa Speedway Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chuck Spicer says the Enlist Weed Control System from Dow AgroSciences offers a strong partnership.

“We are pleased with our continued relationship with Dow AgroSciences,” Spicer says. “With our strong ties to agriculture, we’re glad the Iowa Speedway can continue to help introduce producers to Enlist.”
