HOLLYWOOD CASINO 400 ADDED TO DANICA PATRICK’S 2012 NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES SCHEDULE

[media-credit name=”kansasspeedway.com ” align=”alignright” width=”254″][/media-credit]KANSAS CITY, Kan. (July 10, 2012) – Citing the opportunity to take advantage of additional track time, Tommy Baldwin Racing via a collaborative agreement with Stewart-Haas Racing will field a car in the Oct. 21 Hollywood Casino 400 for Danica Patrick to complete her 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 10-race schedule.

“I’m excited to hear the news today that Kansas Speedway’s Hollywood Casino 400 will be one of Danica Patrick’s 10 NASCAR Sprint Cup races this year,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “Danica has had success at Kansas Speedway and I look forward to seeing her compete in both the Kansas Lottery 300 and the Hollywood Casino 400 on Oct. 20 and Oct. 21 on the newly reconfigured Kansas Speedway.”

Patrick is not unfamiliar with Kansas Speedway. She won her first career IndyCar Series pole in July 2005 and qualified third or better in three of her six starts at Kansas Speedway. She also had three top-10 finishes at Kansas Speedway in the IndyCar Series. Her only NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Kansas Speedway came last October when she started 15th and finished 15th.

Tickets for Kansas Speedway’s 2012 race events are on sale now by calling 866.460.RACE (7223) or visiting www.kansasspeedway.com. Every season ticket comes with a Track Pass that provides you with access to the infield for the pre-race concert, driver introductions and much more!

Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway and fans can bring in one 14x14x14-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverages.
