Renowned Motorsports Artist Sam Bass Signs Autographs and Displays Art Work at Carolina Christmas

CONCORD, N.C. (Dec. 16, 2010) – Sam Bass, renowned motorsports artist, has contributed his artistic talent and graphic design expertise to Carolina Christmas at Charlotte Motor now through Jan. 2, 2011 with an art gallery and autograph opportunities.

Carolina Christmas is a 42-night interactive holiday light show and village that features over one million L.E.D. (light emitting diode) lights in nearly 500 colorful displays. The Christmas Village area, located in the infield, not only features Bass’ display, but also includes many other family-friendly amenities such as Santa’s Workshop, pictures with Santa, the Coca-Cola Igloo with a synthetic skating rink, ornament painting, a petting zoo, a live Nativity in a Bethlehem-themed village and much more.

Bass’ display is located in the North Pole Shoppes and offers select merchandise, including his Santas & Snowmen Collection. In addition, limited edition prints, posters, holiday cards and other gift items will be on sale in the art gallery. Bass will also stop by the booth most nights during the course of the event to visit with fans from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Please check www.sambass.com for more information about his appearances.

“I enjoy meeting with the race fans and sharing the holiday spirit with adults and kids alike who are attending Carolina Christmas,” said Bass. “To see the happy looks on the faces of the people who are coming by my art display as I draw Santas & Snowmen for them nightly is really a lot of fun for me.”

Bass, known for his innovative race car designs, designed the 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid pace car for Carolina Christmas. The holiday-themed pace car features the speedway’s mascot Lug Nut, whom Bass designed in 1992, and a host of other holiday characters. Bass’ whimsical design may be seen at holiday parades throughout the region.
