CONCERT BENEFITTED KEVIN HARVICK FOUNDATION
KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 3, 2012) – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick was treated to a double-dose of festivities on the West Coast this past weekend, celebrating his 37th birthday one week early at Saturday’s Budweiser Presents Happy’s Birthday Bash at The Fox Theater in his hometown of Bakersfield, Calif.

Country music star Craig Morgan headlined the charity event that benefitted the Kevin Harvick Foundation and included special performances by Bridgette Tatum and Matt Stillwell. “I’m glad to be back in Bakersfield, (Calif.),” Morgan stated prior to the show. “The Kevin Harvick Foundation has done a lot for the local community, so I’m glad to be part of this event and hopefully help the foundation raise some funds to keep the programs going that help so many kids.”
Before arriving in Bakersfield, Harvick, who turns 37 on Dec. 8, first was honored Friday evening at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas for his eighth-place finish in the 2012 season’s final championship driver point standings.
Morgan and friends surprised Harvick during the concert by pulling him on-stage for an impromptu singing of “Happy Birthday”.

A little lighthearted fun at my expense certainly is worth the chance to assist underprivileged children across the country. A heartfelt thanks from DeLana (Harvick, wife) and me to Budweiser, Craig Morgan, Bridgette Tatum, Matt Stillwell and all our sponsors for their support this weekend.”
Platinum sponsors for “Happy’s Birthday Bash” included KS Industries and NTS Motorsports, while Alcorn Aire and DC’s RV Center lent a hand in the form of bronze sponsorship. A private, VIP after-party was held at The Padre Hotel, as was the VIP Pre-Party Presented by NTS Motorsports, which featured a silent and live auction.
Morgan’s newest album, THIS OLE BOY, commemorating the 10 years since his debut album, has met great success and was an equal hit with the concertgoers.
