RFR Drivers take fan interaction to the open highways of America
CONCORD, N.C. (January 27, 2014) – Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) and Walgreens announce the 2014 “Race Around America”, a fan-interactive road trip featuring four of the sport’s hottest drivers wheeling a sleek ROUSH Mustang over the country’s open highways, throughout the course of the racing season.
RFR veterans Greg Biffle and Trevor Bayne and NASCAR Nationwide Series rookie of the year candidates Chris Buescher and Ryan Reed take turns behind the wheel, as they cross the country, undertaking a series of special activities on six epic road trips that will be shaped and determined by the fans.
The cutting edge promotion – presented by Walgreens Balance™ Financial Prepaid MasterCard® – will launch in Daytona and run through Homestead. Fans will have various opportunities to shape the outcome of the ‘race’ and eight episodes to see their decisions in action.
Fans will determine the driver’s route from track-to-track, as well as deciding on various upgrades the 2014 Ford Mustang will receive along the way. By the series’ culmination, the car will be transformed into a ramped up ROUSH Stage III Mustang.
