Huntersville, NC. (June 13, 2014) – Today, the Joey Logano Foundation and the Checkered Flag Foundation launch the Honor Your Military Hero program. Fans are encouraged to visit: www.JoeyLoganoFoundation.com/HonorYourHero and tell us about someone in their life who has served in the military and is in need of a second chance. Submissions will be accepted online until Sunday, June 22nd at 6pm.
“Honoring our nation’s military is a tradition that Brad and I strongly support,” says Logano. “We are proud to have the opportunity to express our gratitude to the U.S. armed forces by giving a military hero who has made a life changing sacrifice defending our nation, a second chance.”
The Joey Logano Foundation will announce the military hero who will be granted the $5,000 donation on Monday, June 23rd. The chosen hero will also receive a VIP trip for two to the conclusion of the NASCAR: An American Salute campaign at Daytona International Speedway’s Coke Zero 400. Trip includes travel (up to $1,500), hot passes, driver meet and greets, and entry to The Troops Welcome Center Presented by Coca-Cola for all active duty military, veterans and their families.
