ADVANCE NOTES

·        Biffle at Bristol

o   Biffle has 23 Sprint Cup Series starts at Bristol, earning six top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.  He has an average starting position of 13.9 and finishing position of 12.0 at the short track.

o   Bristol is Biffle’s third best average finishing track.

·        Last Time at Bristol

o   On Friday an accident in practice caused the team to bring out the backup Ford, but Biffle was still able to qualify eighth.  Corded left front tires early in the race left Biffle thinking he had a loose wheel, leading him to focus on tire wear.  After being awarded the “lucky dog” twice in the race, Biffle earned a 12th-place lead lap finish.

·        The Car

o   This will be the fourth race of the season for chassis RK-896.  Biffle has secured one top five and two top-10 finishes with this chassis this year.

·        3M Hire Our Heroes Campaign

o   Biffle’s No. 16 3M Hire Our Heroes Ford Fusion will feature a 3M wrap designed by legendary car designer Chip Foose to honor the veterans recognized through the 3M Hire Our Heroes program in 2014.  To date, some 55 military members and their families have received tool grants and scholarships through the program, totaling $250,000.  It is the second year that the 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division has led the 3M Hire Our Heroes program and run a special car design with Chip Foose.

Biffle on Bristol:

“Saturday night under the lights, where else would you want to be except Bristol, Tennessee.  We run hard at Bristol, which is always fun and exciting.  We always have good runs at that race track. You race right up against the fence, as fast as you can go. Track position is key, you’ve got to be up front and stay out front.”

Puccia on Bristol:

“Bristol has always been a good race track for us.  It’s the fastest short-track on the circuit and we’ve had have success there.  We had a good race in the spring and our teammate won it.  Track position is important, so we’ll focus on qualifying Friday, along with getting the balance right in the car so we can compete for a win Saturday night.”
