How was your car during practice and qualifying?
“The balance was very good. We didn’t spend a lot of time in qualifying trim, so I was really happy with the balance. We struggled with a little bit of speed. Hopefully though tomorrow we’ll get a really well balanced Stanley Tools Camry because that’s what we worked on a lot today. I’m excited, it’s 500 miles and we have a chance to win a million bucks for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, so it’s a big night for us and hopefully it goes well.”

How do you think your car will be in Saturday night’s race
“From sitting on the pole, it doesn’t compare to some of the cars we’ve had here in the past. Our Interstate Batteries Camry is really good. I was really happy with it in practices, it’s a really strong race car so we’re a little disappointed and scratching our heads a little bit on how that happened. We were really loose in our mock qualifying run in practice and we kind of run out of tires doing all of our race trim stuff so we didn’t get to make another run. Looking back that probably hurt us and we made a lot of adjustments and probably went a little too far and the track cooled off a little more than we thought. Tomorrow we’ll just have to pass some cars. It’s fast enough and we have a great pit crew – we can make it exciting over 500 miles.”
