ADVANCE NOTES

Bayne at Kentucky

Bayne will make his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Kentucky on Saturday night.

In seven starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Kentucky, Bayne recorded a best finish of 11th twice in the 2010 and 2011 events at the 1.5-mile oval.

Bob Osborne at Kentucky

Osborne will call his third NSCS race at Kentucky on Saturday evening. In two previous starts, Osborne has earned one top-five finish and one top-10. His best finish of fifth came in the 2011 event with former Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards.

Recapping Daytona

Bayne ran inside the top three for much of the second-half of the rain delayed NSCS event at Daytona International Speedway. In the closing stages, Bayne was able to survive a green-white-checkered finish to record a ninth-place finish.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bayne on racing in Kentucky:

“Kentucky is definitely going to be interesting this weekend. We’ve got that test on Wednesday in preparation for Saturday night. I’m looking forward to getting there and building off of our run in Daytona last weekend. We’ve gotten two top-10s in the last three weeks and I’m confident that (crew chief) Bob (Osborne) and my guys will give me an AdvoCare Ford that can go for another one on Saturday.”
