ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend.  In his previous start, which came last season, Buescher started eighth and finished 11th.

Buescher is one of four drivers eligible for the Dash4Cash this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  If Buescher finishes in front of Regan Smith, Chase Elliott and Brendan Gaughan, he brings home the $100,000 prize.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Zest colors this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Zest has been keeping families Zestfully Clean for over half a century.  Zest falls under the Brynwood Partners umbrella, along with Bit-O-Honey, which has appeared on Buescher’s car twice this season.

Established in 1984, Brynwood Partners is a lower middle market buyout fund that acquires consumer products companies.  The managing partners of Brynwood Partners have extensive operating experience, as CEOs and CFOs of both public and private companies, which allows the firm to acquire both performing and underperforming businesses and corporate orphan brands with or without management teams.

Recapping New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Buescher battled a loose No. 60 Zest Ford Mustang in Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Despite the loose car, Buescher was able to bring home a 14th-place finish, also maintaining his lead in the driver point standings.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

“Indy is a track with a lot of history and a lot of prestige.  Indy is a neat place for us, and I’m excited to get on track with our Zest Ford Mustang.  We have a little bit different aero package this time with a lot of unknowns, but I’m positive our team is ready for the challenge.”
