NASCAR’s most competitive track - Talladega Superspeedway - along with its parent company, International Speedway Corporation(ISC), announced at a press conference today details of Transformation – The Talladega Superspeedway Infield Project. The approximate $50 million redevelopment endeavor is part of ISC’s long-term capital allocation plan and reinvestment into its major motorsports complexes. The project, highlighted by a one-of-a-kind Garage Fan Zone Experience, will feature “up-close” access, interactive attractions and enhanced amenities for fans, sponsors, teams and stakeholders in the iconic Talladega infield.

Richard Childress Racing at Pocono Raceway ... In 159 starts at Pocono Raceway, RCR team owner Richard Childress has two wins, both with Dale Earnhardt, who won on July 19, 1987 and July 18, 1993. Additionally, RCR has earned one pole award, 16 top-five and 54 top-10 finishes with 610 laps led at the uniquely-shaped three-turn track. Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, contributed two of those top-10 finishes under the RCR banner.
Ryan Reed has competed at Iowa Speedway nine times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Reed has finished 21st or better in every start at Iowa. His best finish came in July 2017 where he started 14th and finished 10th.
This weekend’s Gander Outdoors 400 at Pocono Raceway offers Paul Menard and the No. 21 Menards/Libman team a first of sorts. “It’s the first track we’ve been to besides Daytona for the second time as a group,” Menard said of himself and his team, which began working together at the start of this season. “Daytona is its own deal, but this weekend we will have a chance to work off our own notes from the race at Pocono in June."
The 22-year-old Honeycutt from Willow Park, Texas, led the final two of 74 over-scheduled laps and outdueled Connor Zilisch in overtime to become the 128th competitor overall to win in the Truck Series division.
