"Now, with Bristol using the VHT, it’s a little bit different. Over the last couple of years, and I think it depends on what kind of tire Goodyear brings, the groove has really started to widen out. There’s other times the track rubbers up and you can run the bottom."

Coughlin will pilot chassis no. 118; a chassis that he ran earlier this season at Atlanta Motor Speedway. GMS Racing teammate Johnny Sauter raced chassis no. 118 five times last year, including at Dover International Speedway en route to his first win of the 2017 season.

Majeski on Dover “A lot of people say Dover is like a big Bristol. We don’t have the results to show for it, but I thought we had a pretty decent car at Bristol. I’ve been doing some iRacing, as well as some work on the Ford simulator preparing for Dover. I’ll have a lot of laps there before I ever get there. I’m looking forward to it, they say it drives like a short track and that’s up my alley.”
In six previous starts, Bayne has a career-best finish of 10th in the 2016 spring race. He finished 21st in last season’s spring event, and 24th last fall.

This weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Dover International Speedway marks Ryan Reed’s ninth start at the Monster Mile. In his eight previous starts, Reed has one top-five and two top-10 finishes. His best finish of fifth came in the 2017 spring race.

Richard Childress Racing at Dover International Speedway ... RCR has earned four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series wins at Dover International Speedway, most recently in September 2006 when Jeff Burton drove the No. 31 Chevrolet to Victory Lane. Three additional victories came with Dale Earnhardt behind the wheel, including both events at the Monster Mile in 1989 as well as the spring race in 1993. RCR has also earned one pole award, 24 top-five and 56 top-10 finishes in 167 combined starts at the high-banked, one-mile oval. Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, contributed three of those top 10s from 1976-1980.
