NSCS No. 51 Chicagoland Race Preview

Justin Allgaier will make his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start in the No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday. Chicagoland was the site of the Riverton, Ill. native's NSCS debut last year in the No. 51 BRANDT Chevy.

Ryan Reed will make his second NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. In his first start, coming earlier this season, Reed started 14th and finished 15th. Reed also has one start in the ARCA Racing Series at Chicagoland Speedway, coming in 2012, where he started fourth and finished fifth.

Columbia Central students place American Flags at Unity Field to honor victims of 9/11

Unity Field features more than 3,000 American Flags proudly displayed to honor the victims of 9/11. The flags were placed by members of the Columbia Central High School National Honor Society in Lot 10 at Michigan International Speedway on Tuesday. In addition, members from the Brooklyn America Legion, Gleaner Arbor in Adrian, Michigan and MIS staff assisted.

This will be the first track where Kimmel has turned, and even led, laps before; with four starts in the ARCA Racing Series. After his 25th place finish last weekend in Richmond, VA, Kimmel is looking forward to running 300 laps on Saturday afternoon.

Mike Bliss, No. 19 Tweaker Energy Shot Camry Pre-Race Report Chicagoland Speedway

After his 20th place finish last weekend at Richmond International Raceway, Mike Bliss is ready to return to Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. With 12 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the 1.5-mile speedway, Bliss has an average starting position of 16.8 and an average finishing position of 17.0. Bliss has turned over 2,000 laps at the speedway and is ready to turn 300 more laps Saturday afternoon.

Steckly Takes Part in “Chase Across North America” Media Tour

NASCAR announced on Monday that all 16 Challengers in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup would participate in a “Chase Across North America” media tour. Sixteen drivers in sixteen different cities, with one in each Chase market and additionally Los Angeles, Mexico City, San Antonio, TORONTO, New York and Bristol Connecticut.
