After battling an ill-handling race car for the majority of Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was running lap times faster than the leader before suffering a blown right front tire on his No. 17 Nationwide Insurance Ford forcing the 2013 Rookie of the Year to settle for a 38th- place finish.
Chris Buescher headed to Richmond International Raceway for the second time in his NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) career hoping to turn around a late string of bad luck.
Carl Edwards visited Richmond International Raceway as the reigning champ at the three-quarter mile track after his win in September of 2013. Saturday night racing under the lights at Richmond International Raceway proved to be eventful for Greg Biffle and his 3M Pit Bulls. Biffle started the race 26th due to qualifying being rained out and looked to have a 3M Scotch Ford capable of a top 10.
Martin Truex Jr. drove the No. 78 Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Chevrolet to a 10th-place finish in Saturday night’s Sprint Cup Series race, his first top-10 performance of the season, and it could have been even better.

Jeff Gordon led 173 of the 400-laps at Richmond International Raceway in an effort to put Chevrolet in Victory Lane for the fifth time in the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
