Go Green Racing Darlington Throwback Scheme

Go Green Racing is excited to announce our throwback paint scheme for the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on September 6th. The last time the No.32 went to victory lane in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, was at Darlington Raceway in 2003 with Ricky Craven behind the wheel in one of the closest finishes in NASCAR history.

Smithfield’s "Fuel Up With The King" Sweepstakes Gives Fans a Chance to Tailgate With Racing Legend Richard Petty and the No. 43 Team

For racing fans, the opportunity to tailgate with royalty could be just a bacon strip away. Smithfield announced the start of its "Fuel Up with the King" Sweepstakes, where one lucky fan will win the Grand Prize of an all-inclusive trip for two to the 2016 race in Daytona, a new Ford F-150 and a Smithfield-hosted tailgate with "The King" Richard Petty, Aric Almirola, and the legendary Richard Petty Motorsports No. 43 team.

Ryan Reed – Road America Advance

Reed has competed at Road America in the NASCAR XFINITY Series just once, finishing 21st after starting 14th in 2014. In his first appearance, Reed ran just outside of the top 10 for most of the race but fell back after having to pit for fuel as the race was extended by a late caution.

Armstrong Hopes for Clear Weather, Smooth Sailing at Road America

Last week in Bristol, late race contact put a damper on the hopes for a good run for Dakoda Armstrong. This week, the No. 43 WinField team heads to Road America looking to end a tough month with a good finish. Last year, during his first start at the track, Armstrong had a promising day go sour when a rain assisted off-track excursion heavily damaged the WinField Ford. Historically, RPM has had strong runs at Road America in each of its three starts, before rain or accidents changed the course of their race.

Bubba Wallace – Road America Advance

The NASCAR XFINITY Series travels to 4.05-mile Road America this weekend for the third and final road course race of the 2015 schedule. Saturday’s race marks Bubba Wallace’s first start at the track.

Chris Buescher – Road America Advance

Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Road America on Saturday. Last season, Buescher started ninth with a fast Ford Mustang, before rain and a pit road speeding penalty slowed him down, ultimately finishing 18th.

Hornish to Drive Throwback Winn-Dixie Car at Darlington

Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) announced today that Winn-Dixie will serve as the primary sponsor for Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 9 Ford team at the Darlington (S.C.) Raceway The Tradition Returns weekend in September.

RCR Event Preview – Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Road America ... In 11 Series starts at the 14-turn road course, RCR has completed 565 laps of the 579 (97.6 percent) they have competed. The Welcome, N.C., organization visited Victory Lane last year with Brendan Gaughan, earning their first win at Road America. RCR has accumulated two top-five and three top-10 finishes, led nine laps and averages a starting position of 14.2 and finishing position of 14.8.

Elliott Sadler – Road America Advance

Elliott Sadler will make his fifth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at the Road America this Saturday afternoon in Elkhart Lake, WI. In Sadler’s previous four starts at Road America, he’s recorded one top-five and three top-10 finishes. Last year at the 14-turn road course, Sadler started 11th and finished ninth.

Driver Justin Wilson Succumbs to Injuries

INDYCAR announced that driver Justin Wilson, who enjoyed success in multiple motorsports series during a two-decade professional career, died today from a head injury sustained in the Verizon IndyCar Series race Aug. 23 at Pocono Raceway. He was 37.
