Armstrong Looks to Regain Momentum at Iowa

After surviving a tough race at Indianapolis, Armstrong comes to Iowa Speedway excited to return to his short track background. After studying their notebook and race film from May, the No. 43 WinField team has worked hard developing a setup to better fit Armstrong's hard charging driving style. The team hopes to use the season's second visit to Iowa as a platform to rebuild their short track performance to last season's strength level. Currently, Armstrong sits 12th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings, just 16 points outside of 11th place.

Chris Buescher – Iowa Advance

In a total of three NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Iowa Speedway, Buescher has one win, and three top-15 finishes. In addition Buescher has completed all 759 laps in his three starts, leading 94 laps.

Almirola and No. 43 Team Still Eyeing Chase Spot Heading into Pocono

Last weekend, the No. 43 team took a big hit in the Championship Point Standings after an on-track incident relegated the team to a 39th-place finish. Now 17th in points, Aric Almirola is 30 points outside of the current Chase transfer spot of 15th. With Kyle Busch just 23 points outside of a transfer spot, the team will have to aim to hold the 14th spot in points when the regular season comes to a close in Richmond.

Bubba Wallace – Iowa Advance

Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Iowa Speedway marks Bubba Wallace’s fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the track. Earlier this season, Wallace started eighth and finished sixth. In addition, he raced in both events in 2012. In the spring he started eighth and finished ninth, while in the summer he started second and led 36 laps before finishing seventh.

Elliott Sadler – Iowa Speedway Advance

Elliott Sadler will make his 10th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Iowa Speedway this Saturday evening in Newton, IA. In Sadler’s previous nine starts, he has one win, three pole awards, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes at Iowa. Earlier this year, Sadler crossed the line in the ninth position when the NXS raced at Iowa Speedway.

AJ ALLMENDINGER, JTG DAUGHERTY RACING, POCONO RACEWAY PREVIEW

Pocono Raceway: "Pocono Raceway is a place where track position is critical just like any other place," Allmendinger said. "Hopefully, as the last couple of weeks have went on, we have learned some stuff about our race cars. We have got to make them better for sure. Slowly, we are making progress. Hopefully, we can take that back to Pocono."

Richard Childress Racing at Pocono Raceway ... In 142 starts at Pocono Raceway, RCR team owner Richard Childress has two victories, both with Dale Earnhardt, who won on July 19, 1987 and July 18, 1993. Additionally, RCR has earned one pole award, 16 top-five and 54 top-10 finishes with 604 laps led at the uniquely-shaped three-turn track. Childress, a former driver in NASCAR's top division, contributed two of those top-10 finishes under the RCR banner.

FedEx Racing Express Facts – Pocono Raceway

Pocono Preview: The Series heads back to Pocono (Pa.) Raceway for the second and final event on the 2.5-mile triangular-shaped track of the season. Hamlin finished 10th at Pocono on June 7. In 19 career Pocono starts, Hamlin owns four victories, nine top-five finishes and 13 top-10 results, leading 667 laps at the track. He has also recorded three poles at Pocono.
