Ford Performance NASCAR: Pocono 2 Notes

For the second time in eight races the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Pocono Raceway, where Ford will be looking for its first win since 2010 when Greg Biffle reached victory lane. Joey Logano (2012) and Brad Keselowski (2011) also own one series victory apiece at the triangular-shaped track, but each of those were with other manufacturers.

Ryan Reed – Iowa Advance

Reed has three starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Iowa Speedway. Earlier this season, Reed finished 12th after starting 16th for the 250-lap event. Reed made his way into the top 10 in the closing laps, before an untimely caution left him with old tires on the final restart.

Greg Biffle – Pocono Advance

Greg Biffle led 11 laps Sunday afternoon at Pocono Raceway on his way to a fifth-place finish in his No. 16 Ford Fusion. With just over 20 laps remaining, Biffle took over the lead and held the position for over 10 laps as the field spread out conserving fuel. A late race caution took away the lead Biffle had acquired, and in the final laps Biffle lost ground to fresher tires, crossing the finish line fifth.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis Race for Good Dental Health with the No. 24 3M Team

More than 500 students at LeGore Boys & Girls Club and Keenan-Stahl Boys & Girls Club in Indianapolis participated in a special high-speed oral health education event Thursday that left them with big smiles and new tips for improving their dental health. Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 9 Medallion Bank Ford team are optimistic about their return to the "Tricky Triangle". The team is looking to redeem themselves at the 2.5-mile track after a cut tire took them out of contention for a good finish in the June race.

Armstrong Looks to Regain Momentum at Iowa

After surviving a tough race at Indianapolis, Armstrong comes to Iowa Speedway excited to return to his short track background. After studying their notebook and race film from May, the No. 43 WinField team has worked hard developing a setup to better fit Armstrong's hard charging driving style. The team hopes to use the season's second visit to Iowa as a platform to rebuild their short track performance to last season's strength level. Currently, Armstrong sits 12th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings, just 16 points outside of 11th place.

Chris Buescher – Iowa Advance

In a total of three NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Iowa Speedway, Buescher has one win, and three top-15 finishes. In addition Buescher has completed all 759 laps in his three starts, leading 94 laps.
