Biffle on racing at Loudon: “I’m looking forward to Loudon; it’s been a good track for us. I have a win there and I feel like it’s a track where we can get back into the hunt. We certainly aren’t out of it, but a good run will help. Hopefully we can get a good top-five finish or a win in our 3M Ford this weekend.”
NASCAR has reinstated driver AJ Allmendinger upon his successful completion of NASCAR’s Substance Abuse Policy Road to Recovery Program. Allmendinger had been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR on July 24 for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy.
Kenseth on racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway: “New Hampshire is a really challenging track because it’s a one-mile track that drives like a flat short track. It seems like you’re always fighting for position there because the track is so narrow that it’s difficult to pass, so we really rely on good pit stops to help gain positions. Loudon has been a place that I’ve struggled at but our goal is to get a good clean run on Sunday in order to make up some of our position in the point standings that we lost last weekend at Chicago.”
Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion, led the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings for 15 weeks and was on top when the 26-race regular-season came to a close at Richmond two weeks ago. As the series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend, Biffle finds himself eighth in the Chase standings after a 13th-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway Sunday. He spoke to the media as part of NASCAR’s weekly teleconference on Tuesday afternoon.
