Bobby Labonte, JTG Daugherty Racing, New Hampshire Motor Speedway Preview

BUSH’S BEANS AND HANNAFORD SUPPORTS LABONTE AND JTG DAUGHERTY RACING’S EFFORTS AT NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

LOUDON, N.H. – – (September 18, 2012) – – This weekend for the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) Bobby Labonte and his JTG Daugherty Racing team will have BUSH’S Beans prominently displayed on the No. 47 Toyota Camry for the seventh time this season.

“BUSH’S Beans has been a proud supporter of JTG Daugherty Racing for many years,” Labonte said. “It’s hard to believe, but the company has been in business for over a century. They have been a household name in my home for as long as I can remember. We’re pleased to have their distinguished label back on the 47 Toyota Camry this weekend.”

In addition to BUSH’S Beans support, Hannaford Supermarkets also has presence. Hannaford is a leading grocer serving customers throughout Northern New England and New York. They are proud to be a part of so many great communities and contribute to the health, education and vitality of those communities.

One of their programs, The Hannaford Helps Schools Program, has raised over seven and a half million dollars for over 2,7600 New England and New York schools over the past thirteen years. This weekend JTG Daugherty Racing is presenting a check for $25,000 to Hannaford Helps Schools.

“We are very proud to have the Hannaford brand on the side of the No. 47 car this weekend for the third year in a row” said Shawn McBreairty, Category Manager for Hannaford. “JTG Daugherty Racing has been very supportive to help raise awareness of our Hannaford Helps Schools program. This rewarding program features some 700 items and runs from 9/9-12/1 for our local K-12 schools. The customers receive ‘school dollars’ from purchasing the participating brands that are the equivalent to cash for the schools. They put these ‘dollars’ in collection bins at our stores to support their specific school. The schools can then buy sports gear, computers, use for field trips, musical instruments, you name it. In 2011, we raised nearly $780,000 alone! (Additional information is available at www.hannaford.com/hhs).”

There has been 21 race winners at Loudon. Labonte came close during his 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship year posting a second-place finish (9/17/00) behind Jeff Burton after starting from pole position.

In 35 starts at NHMS, Labonte has five top-five, 11 top-10 finishes and has led 72 laps at the 1.058-mile oval. Earlier this season, Labonte was credited with a 23rd-place finish after starting 18th in the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 and he looks to improve upon that on Sunday.

“Loudon is a good track for me,” Labonte said. “I’ve been close to a win a few times. I’ve finished second there and third three times. It should be a good track for us. It would be nice to come away with a solid finish this weekend.”

Live coverage of the Sylvania 300 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway at 1 p.m. ET airs on ESPN and PRN Radio. Sirius XM will also carry the race.
