We ran our Modified on Saturday at Sunset Speedway in front of a huge crowd, maybe the biggest of the season. The stands were full and the racing was awesome. Our team was ready right out of the trailer. We went through pre-race tech, and all was good for our car to practice.

NASCAR Next driver Dylan Lupton (@LuptonDylan) has been close to capturing the checkered flag on several occasions this season on the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW) tour, but his second career victory has continued to elude him.

Holiday weekends are meant for racing. At least for Taylor Ferns they are. She spent Memorial Day weekend at the track, same with the Fourth of July. This week, she'll celebrate the Labor Day weekend at Attica Raceway Park in Ohio for a pair of races with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions.

Venturini Motorsports (VMS) will be aiming for their third consecutive victory this weekend as the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards makes its annual trek to southern Illinois for the 61st running of the Southern Illinois 100 on the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds dirt mile Labor DayMonday, September 1st.

Brad Keselowski – No. 2 Alliance Truck Parts Ford Fusion – “It’s by far the best qualifying effort I’ve ever had here. That’s a testament to the team and the work they’ve done and trying to be better.

“Our Home Depot Husky Tools Camry was really good. The last run we kind of missed a little bit there. The first round was good, the second round was actually better and the tires drop off so much here, the third round just didn’t quite get it as good. Overall it was good. It was way better than we’ve been all day, so our adjustments were good and it seemed to have good speeds and was driving decent, so that was all encouraging.”

“Our car didn’t really change that much. I just messed the first round up really bad trying to do something that I wasn’t doing in practice. Luckily we were fast enough to be able to get through the first round into the second round. The second round we got into a little better rhythm where I wanted to run on the race track. I’ve got to thank everybody on our Jimmy John’s team they make my life a lot easier on Friday’s and this is a lot of fun.”

INDYCAR announced today that the Grand Prix of Houston will not return to the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule in 2015. The 1.7-mile temporary circuit at NRG Park hosted doubleheader races in each of the past two seasons, but INDYCAR and officials from the Grand Prix of Houston were unable to define a date for the 2015 event.
