NASCAR Cup Series

David Gilliland will give the Florida Lottery some high-speed attention this holiday weekend as it joins the accomplished superspeedway racer for one of the most high-profile races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

As the action returns to Daytona, Florida this weekend, I must admit something. I love the look of the Confederate battle flag. I love the stories of Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and James Longstreet. I loved the Dukes of Hazzard, good ole boys, and good ole girls even better.

Justin Allgaier and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) make their second stop of the season at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) on Sunday. Allgaier has three NSCS starts at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

Tommy Baldwin Racing's Alex Bowman will team with Advance Auto Parts and Quaker State for the upcoming Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts race on July 11th at Kentucky Speedway.

Back to Daytona...The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series goes home to Daytona International Speedway this weekend for the Coke Zero 400, the second and final event at The World Center of Racing in 2015. Michael Annett, driver of the No. 46 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet, looks to pick up where he left off in February, when he scored a career-best finish (13th) in the Daytona 500.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. traveled to Orlando on Tuesday to support Fifth Third Bank as they became the official bank of Daytona International Speedway and will serve as an official partner of the Daytona 500 and the Coke Zero 400 powered by Coca-Cola.

Roush Fenway Racing returns to hallowed ground this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads to Daytona International Speedway for the second time this season, a track that has seen a Roush Fenway Ford visit Victory Lane nine times.

KYLE’S COMEBACK: Kyle Busch was victorious in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Sonoma Raceway in just his fifth event back since an accident at Daytona International Speedway sidelined the 30-year-old racer. Busch led the field twice for 17 laps (of 110) at the Northern California road course en route to victory lane for the 26th time in a Camry in NSCS competition. Busch, who won the July 2008 NSCS event at Daytona, will return for to the 2.5-mile Florida superspeedway for Sunday’s NSCS race for the first time since sustaining injuries to his right leg and left foot in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at the track in February.

The success that Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing enjoyed in February at Daytona International Speedway to open the 2015 season turned out to be an omen for the single-car team.
