Pocono Raceway announced today Charlie Shaver, Chairman and CEO of Axalta Coating Systems, as the Grand Marshal for the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday, June 7th.

"Pocono is all about finding a happy medium," Allmendinger said. "It's about finding the balance. It’s lost a little grip over the last couple years after the repave, but it still has a ton of grip. More than ever, it’s really a challenge to set your car up for it.”

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads to Pocono Raceway this weekend. It's the first of two stops at the track affectionately known as the 'Tricky Triangle.' Allgaier has an average finish of 21.5 at the 2.5-mile track in the NSCS, and has led six laps. Allgaier has one win at Pocono in the ARCA Racing Series in 2008.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 car, has received a penalty for his actions during the May 31 race (Sections 12.1, 12.8 b and 10.4.2.1 in the 2015 NASCAR rule book). After the No. 6 car was involved in an on-track incident, the driver walked across the racing surface before he was attended to by the track safety crew. Bayne has been fined $20,000 and placed on NASCAR probation through Dec. 31.

Ryan Ellis will be driving the No. 50 Burnie Grill Chevrolet Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway. Ellis will be making his 3rd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at the famed wild asphault circus known as Texas Motor Speedway.

Pocono Raceway is one of the most unique tracks on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule. The track is a three-turn superspeedway with minimal banking in the corners and one very famous long straightaway. Some drivers have nicknamed it a ‘roval’, but all drivers agree that there has to be some sort of compromise, because no car can be perfect through all three very unique corners.

POCONO SUITS HAMLIN: Only one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) driver has been more successful at Pocono Raceway than Camry driver Denny Hamlin, and Jeff Gordon has been racing at the 2.5-mile triangular track twice as long. Hamlin has four Pocono winner’s trophies – including two in a Camry (August 2009 and June 2010) and two from the first year he visited the Pennsylvania race track in 2006.

Pocono Raceway announced today a multi-year extension of their partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) as the ‘Official Health Care Provider of Pocono Raceway.’ Additionally, as previously announced last week, the 50/50 raffle being hosted at the Raceway during the upcoming Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 race weekend will benefit the Children’s Hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

The United States Army Chorus Quartet will sing the national anthem prior to the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Martin Truex Jr. will have a new Furniture Row Chevrolet for Sunday’s Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa.
