NASCAR Cup Series

As his home track, Sam Hornish Jr. has many fond memories of Michigan International Speedway - both on-and-off the track. Even before Hornish made it to the elite ranks of racing, he frequented the two-mile track with his family and friends as a spectator. Now, Hornish will be making his eighth Sprint Cup Series start at Michigan.

Dakoda Armstrong is ready to return to the track after a refreshing weekend off. The team heads to Michigan International Speedway (MIS) hoping to continue building momentum after two consecutive weeks of improvement in the point standings. . Currently, Armstrong sits 13th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads the home track for Ford as Michigan International Speedway hosts the first of two weekends this year. Ford Motor Co. has won half of the NSCS events run at the Irish Hills facility (46-of-91), which includes 34 wins by Ford and 12 under the Mercury banner. This week at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, Kyle Busch returns to the seat of the No. 54 Monster Energy Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Toyota Camry, after recuperating from injuries sustained in the season-opener race that left Busch out of his familiar black machine for 11 weeks.
