Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today that the track’s grandstands are sold out for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov. 9.

At a press conference today at the Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) for the start of National Adoption Month, it was announced that NASCAR Driver and Champion, James Buescher and his wife Krishtian Buescher have launched the Buescher Foundation. The Buescher Foundation is committed to providing financial support to families who have been called to adopt. Their personal experience has taught them that all children deserve a family who can help them grow into loving and caring individuals. The Buescher Foundation's mission is to provide support and resources to families going through the adoption process domestically.

Matt Kenseth won the pole for the AAA Texas 500 with a lap of 199.299 mph. It's his second pole of the season, 13th of his Sprint Cup career and the first on the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway.

"I'm proud of this whole Dollar General crew. We've been getting a hard time for not winning anything this year -- so small victories I guess. It's pole night and that's the best driving car I've had at an intermediate (track) all year by far, hands down. These guys did a great job, good adjustments throughout this qualifying -- we got a little better every round and got that last lap just by the smallest of margins.

“It was three incredible laps and a great effort by our Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet team today. All day long we have had a fast race car. It’s awesome to be able to back that up in qualifying. It’s so tricky at a track like this where the tires fall off a little bit and this is an abrasive track, but super-fast.

“It wasn’t a bad run for the No. 22 AAA Ford, but its not what we were hoping for. We were pretty good in the first round and I thought we would be better in the second round, but we were good enough to make it. The later it went, the faster the guys went.
