Since sustaining an injury to his back last weekend at Auto Club Speedway, Denny Hamlin said that he is feeling 80% percent better since that Sunday.

Martinsville is one of NASCAR's oldest venues and has been around since the beginning of stock car racing. It was one of the eight original tracks on the 1949 Strickly Stock Schedule which is now known as the Sprint Cup series. At 0.526 miles in length, it is the shortest track on the circuit and arguably the toughest to pass at.

For the first time this season, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series make a visit to Martinsville Speedway for the Sprint Cup Series’ sixth race of the year and the Camping World Truck Series’ second race of the year.

Fifth Third Bank will make its 2013 debut with the two-time NASCAR Nationwide Champion, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. this weekend at Martinsville for the STP Gas Booster 500. This will be the Sprint Cup rookie’s first attempt at the famed paper-clip half-mile track.

Richmond International Raceway and the Virginia Tourism Corporation teamed up to spread the love today at America’s Premier Short Track. The two organizations unveiled RIR’s LOVEwork.

This weekend Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) rookie Sprint Cup driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will make his debut at a track traditionally noted for knocking around rookies and veterans alike; Martinsville Speedway.

When Dale Earnhardt Jr. rolls into Martinsville Speedway Friday morning for the STP® Gas Booster™ 500 weekend, he will have to feel good about his chances. Statistically, Martinsville is Earnhardt’s best track.

Bobby Labonte is one of those drivers that owns a pole (4/23/95) and a victory (4/14/02) and has six top-five and 14 top-10 finishes at the .526-mile short track. The 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion has led 320 laps at Martinsville. He also won a NASCAR Nationwide Series race (10/18/92) at the venue.
