Kansas Speedway and Harvesters–the Community Food Network kicked off a virtual food drive today with the help of four-time NASCAR Cup series champion Jeff Gordon. The food drive to help hungry seniors will last until the STP 400 on April 21, 2013.

In the first three weeks of the 2013 NASCAR season, Toyota drivers achieved a trio of milestones. First, Johnny Sauter earned the 100th Tundra win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) when he claimed the victory at the season-opener in Daytona.

Either way, the races at “The Last Great Colosseum” are sure to provide us moments to talk about long after the checkered flag falls.

The good news is that in 2013 points, Danica Patrick is running one spot better than team-mate Ryan Newman. The bad news is that after disastrous runs in Phoenix and Las Vegas he sits 32nd.

Auto Club Speedway announced today that Verve recording artists 'The Tenors,' will perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the Auto Club 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 24. The race will be broadcast at Noon (PT) on FOX.

In 17 starts at the 0.533-mile bullring, Edwards has two wins, four top-five, seven top-10 finishes and two poles. His average start is 18.4, and his average finish is 14.4. Edwards has completed 8084 of 8513 (95%) laps attempted at Bristol.

Denny Hamlin finished 15th in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the #11 FedEx Office Toyota, unable to overcome a pit road speeding penalty under green flag conditions midway through the 400-mile event won by his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Matt Kenseth.

When it comes to a confidence and fondness level for a racetrack, Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway is at the top of the list for Furniture Row Racing driver Kurt Busch.
