Young fans have the chance to spend some time with five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson when he makes a stop in the Bristol Motor Speedway Kids Zone Sunday, March 17 prior to the Food City 500.

Camry driver Denny Hamlin (third) was the first Toyota driver to the finish line in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Hamlin dove to the apron on the final lap in an attempt to take second, but was edged out at the checkered flag by Jimmie Johnson for the position. Clint Bowyer (sixth) and Matt Kenseth (seventh) earned their first top-10 results of 2013 at the one-mile track.

The Peachtree City, Ga., driver has an average finish of 14.2 at the 1.5-mile track and tallied his best finish of sixth in his Nationwide track debut in 2005.

Furniture Row Racing driver Kurt Busch is banking on a “Lucky 13” start to beat the odds and fulfill a career dream of claiming his first Sprint Cup victory in his hometown of Las Vegas.

During a weeklong event this spring, former NASCAR driver and racing analyst Kyle Petty will lead more than 175 motorcycle riders on a cross-country motorcycle trek to benefit Victory Junction.

Michael McDowell will carry a new primary sponsor aboard the No. 98 Phil Parsons Racing Ford at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. McDowell will sport the colors of Ambient Edge, an air conditioning, heating and refrigeration company, on his Fusion as part of a one-race partnership in Sunday's Kobalt Tools 400. It is the organization's first NASCAR sponsorship.

Jimmie Johnson: Johnson finished second in the Subway Fresh Fit 500, following his Daytona 500 with a near-win at Phoenix. Johnson extended his points lead and now holds an eight point advantage over Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
