After a successful surgery to repair a fractured and dislocated sternum, Richard Petty Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Michael Annett has been released from the hospital in Charlotte, N.C. He is now resting at his home.

Aric Almirola, driver of the No. 43 Smithfield Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, will be pulling double-duty this weekend as he fills in for injured driver Michael Annett in the No. 43 Pilot/Flying J Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Almirola spoke about competing in both events after Nationwide practice on Friday.

AdvoCare International, LP (AdvoCare), a leading health and wellness company, today announced it will donate to the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma based on the performance of Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Austin Dillon, pilot of the No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet. The Childress Institute invests resources in research, education and awareness to improve the treatment for critically injured children in the U.S.
