It’s a new year and a new car. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers set sail for a three-day test session at Daytona International Speedway January 10-12 in preparation of the 55th annual Daytona 500 scheduled Sunday, February 24.

NASCAR® Nationwide Series driver Jeffrey Earnhardt is looking to 2013 as a big year. In addition to continuing his sponsorship with Uponor for at least six more races, he is also going for the Rookie of the Year title. Earnhardt will drive the #79 Go Green Racing Ford Mustang for the Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway, which kicks off the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season Feb. 23 on ESPN.

After finishing 29th in points in 2012, Germain Racing returns in 2013 with no changes to the team. Casey Mears will return as driver of the #13 Geico Ford Fusion with crew chief Robert “Bootie” Barker at the helm once again.
