NASCAR Cup Series

This weekend, Roush Fenway takes its Chase hopes to New Hampshire Motor Speedway, where it will look for a strong follow-up to last week’s outing at Chicagoland.

There is no other track like it on the circuit. It is fast; and almost a flat one-mile oval. With the long straights and flat tight turns, it is definitely a handling track. It is fun to drive!

Keselowski won the Geico 400, taking round 1 of the Chase For The Cup after holding off Jimmie Johnson at Chicagoland. Keselowski leads the point standings, three ahead of Johnson.

NASCAR announced on September 18th that they have reinstated NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver A.J. Allmendinger upon his completition of the road to recovery program.

It may seem silly, but there are those who have already decided that the Chase has two favorites, Brad Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson. There is something to be said for that, but the thought needs more investigation. It’s also useful to look at history and recent statistics. Those two categories tend to color things a bit.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart joined officials from Charlotte Motor Speedway and Bank of America to kick off the “Express Your Thanks” flag program to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Fans attending the Oct. 13 Bank of America 500 can sign a flag with a message of support for the U.S. Armed Forces that will be displayed during the race in a giant flag mosaic. For each flag that is signed, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation will donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project, up to $250,000.

The 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule at Martinsville Speedway will have a familiar look with its traditional NASCAR Sprint Cup dates returning.

This weekend for the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) Bobby Labonte and his JTG Daugherty Racing team will have BUSH’S Beans prominently displayed on the No. 47 Toyota Camry for the seventh time this season.

Biffle on racing at Loudon: “I’m looking forward to Loudon; it’s been a good track for us. I have a win there and I feel like it’s a track where we can get back into the hunt. We certainly aren’t out of it, but a good run will help. Hopefully we can get a good top-five finish or a win in our 3M Ford this weekend.”
