Goodyear will make a tire change for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway. The decision was made Friday evening after teams had tires that were blistering following Friday’s practice sessions at the newly-repaved 2.0-mile track.

A day after numerous teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series topped the 200 MPH mark, the speeds continued to be the theme. And the speeds only got faster after the teams fine-tuned their cars.

Greg Biffle ripped off the fastest lap time in final practice, running at 204.708 mph. Biffle spoke about the speeds after his practice session.

Mountain Dew® and Dale Earnhardt Jr. brought “The Dark Knight Rises” to Brooklyn, Michigan for a few laps on Thursday, June 14. Earnhardt, who will be driving a special No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew/“The Dark Knight Rises”-inspired Chevrolet in Sunday’s race, tested at the two-mile track before going alongside Batman’s iconic Tumbler during demonstration laps around the speedway.

Fans looking to be a part of the biggest Labor Day party in the USA at Atlanta Motor Speedway by camping out at the historic 1.54-mile speedway are encouraged to act fast while limited amounts of prime camping spots remain.

"It is an entirely different race track and you race it a lot different with the speeds the way they are -- you can echo every quote I had last week and it's going to somewhat apply to this week. You're going to look at statistics of who ran well here in the past and race winners and things like that."

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will be at the beautiful Irish Hills of Michigan for Sunday's running of the Quicken Loans 400. There are two elements, one brand new and one that's traditional, that's involved here which will make this race very interesting.
