Kasey Kahne led the way for Chevrolet earning his first pole of 2012 and solidifying a spot in the 2013 Budweiser Shootout during Friday’s qualifying session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Jeff Gordon has been racing in NASCAR for 20 years now and has kept a solid partnership with sponsor, Dupont, through that time. To honor that partnership, Gordon is running a special paint scheme this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Kasey Kahne scored the pole today during qualifying for the Kobalt Tools 400 earlier today.

Kasey Kahne captured the pole for Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a track record lap of 190.456 MPH.

Coming to Las Vegas, it's always fun of course to be able to come back home and see friends and everything like that, but it's more stressful when you get to the race track because you want to do well. "

A.J. Allmendinger (No. 22 Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 14th HOW WAS YOUR QUALIFYING LAP? “I thought it was a good lap for the Pennzoil Dodge. I’m a little lost because the lap felt faster than the speed showed. Our car is fast. I’m not quite sure what happened.”"

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 3M Ford Fusion – “I’m a little disappointed. Maybe I held it out a little too long getting into turn three, but it didn’t seem like it wanted to turn to the bottom. That’s where I lost my time."
