MWR Executive Vice President of Competition Scott Miller will spend his second weekend at Michael Waltrip Racing calling the shots on the No. 56 NAPA Toyota pit box.

Dodge is seeking its first win at Phoenix International Raceway in Sprint Cup competition.

In McMurray’s NASCAR Sprint Cup career, he has made 16 starts at Phoenix International Raceway. In those races, he has scored one top-five, and two top-10 finishes, and has an average start of 16.6.

The Home Depot Team remains out west this weekend for the Phoenix 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Joey Logano will be making his sixth start behind the wheel of No. 20 Toyota Camry on the newly configured track.

Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS team have earned top-10 finishes in the last three races - only Tony Stewart can boast of similar success. Truex expects to continue the trend this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway and the season’s final race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

With just two races remaining in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet remains third in the NSCS driver point standings entering Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 500 at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR).

Ragan on racing at Phoenix International Raceway:“I’m excited to head out to Phoenix this weekend after testing the new surface last month. We have run well on the short tracks this year and I look forward to the trip out west."

Johnson has made 16 Sprint Cup Series starts at Phoenix International Raceway, where he has four wins, 11 top-five and 14 top-10 finishes.

Phoenix International Raceway may have held races for more than 45 years and hosted 30 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, but Jeff Gordon believes this trip out west is into an unknown frontier.

Biffle on Phoenix: “I feel pretty good about going to Phoenix this weekend. We ran really well at the test there and we’ve been running better at the one-mile racetracks. We got our best finish of the season at New Hampshire and we were running well at Dover until I hit the wall so I have high expectations for this weekend. "
