Fontana Preview: The Series heads to Fontana, Calif., for Sunday’s 400-mile race at Auto Club Speedway that marks the final leg of the ‘West Coast Swing.’ After 16 career starts at the Southern California track, Hamlin has recorded two top-five finishes, five top-10 finishes and three pole starting positions, as well as a career-best finish of third (2008 and 2016).

The seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champions No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports team with driver Jimmie Johnson will have a new primary sponsor beginning next season. Lowe’s Companies Inc., which has been the No. 48 team’s only primary sponsor since 2001, will not return to Hendrick Motorsports in 2019.

Kasey Kahne and Leavine Family Racing (LFR) are looking to finish the West Coast Swing on a strong note at Auto Club Speedway.

Toyota Eyeing First Cup Win of 2018… Camry drivers will be looking for Toyota’s first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) win of 2018 as NASCAR continues its West Coast swing and heads to the City of Angels. Toyota has registered two MENCS victories at California’s Auto Club Speedway – both seized by Kyle Busch in back-to-back seasons (2013 and 2014). The Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) driver has the second-most total victories (three) and second-most laps led (611) among active MENCS drivers at the track located outside Los Angeles.

For the second consecutive year at Auto Club Speedway, BUBBA burger® will join Rick Ware Racing (RWR) as the primary marketing partner of the team’s charted No. 51 Toyota Camry for Sunday’s Auto Club 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race.

NASCAR and Anheuser-Busch announced today a multi-year agreement that welcomes the global brand back as an Official Partner and designates Busch Beer as the “Official Beer of NASCAR®.” The new partnership builds upon Busch’s industry-wide presence and includes sponsorship of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series™ Busch Pole Award, rewarding the driver with the fastest qualifying time each week.

Excitement, thy name is sure not Fontana. Not usually. There is a reason the idea to bring the Cup folks out to the Auto Club Speedway was abandoned after just seven seasons. It is bad enough to be a yawner on television, but when that is the perception live and in person, you have got a problem.

Kevin Harvick: Harvick corralled his third consecutive win, dashing to the win in the Ticket Guardian 500 at Phoenix.

The driver of the No. 48 Camaro ZL1 also has more top five (13) and more top 10 (16) finishes than any other driver at Auto Club Speedway.

NAPA AUTO PARTS BACK AGAIN: NAPA AUTO PARTS will be back as the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 this weekend at Auto Club Speedway (ACS). The Atlanta-based company will serve as majority sponsor for Chase Elliott and the No. 9 team for 26 NASCAR Cup Series races this year. Most recently, Elliott piloted the familiar blue, white and yellow scheme at ISM Raceway, where he finished third.
