Recap: Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Wurth Ford Fusion team seem to be in the midst of an unlucky streak as they finished 38th in Sunday’s AAA 400 Drive For Autism at Dover International Speedway (DIS) following another incident not of their own making.

After winning the first two stages in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway, a gritty Martin Truex Jr. fought back from an untimely caution to post a third-place finish.

Camry driver Martin Truex (third) had the highest-finishing Toyota in Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway.

The record books were quickly recording today’s events at Dover International Speedway as Jimmie Johnson piloted the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS to his 11th career victory at the track nicknamed the ‘Monster Mile’. Johnson not only set a record of 11 wins, but earned his 83rd career Cup Series victory in 556 starts, tying his childhood hero, Cale Yarborough for sixth on the all-time NASCAR wins list. The run was Johnson’s third victory in the first 13 races of the 2017 season, more than any other driver thus far this year.

A broken axle thwarted a potential Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team top-10 finish for the second consecutive week in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Jimmie Johnson got the better of Kyle Larson on the final restart of the AAA Drive for Autism 400 to win for the 11th time in his career at Dover International Speedway.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, was running in the 11th position in the closing stages of Sunday afternoon’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) event at Dover International Speedway before a cut right-front tire forced the Roush Fenway Racing driver to make an unscheduled pit stop under green. After returning to the track, a multi-car incident during NASCAR’s overtime severely damaged the AdvoCare Ford, preventing Bayne from taking the checkered flag and ultimately leading to a 21st-place finish.

After leading three laps and running in the top-10 for a majority of the first 50 laps in Sunday’s AAA 400 at the Monster Mile, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. blew two right front tires ultimately sending the Little Hug Fruit Barrel Ford to the garage resulting in a 39th-place finish.

It was a huge honor to tie him with three consecutive championships a few years back and then to be here at 83 wins and a day where things played out in such an awkward and weird fashion just very happy that we’ve got it done.
