Kevin Harvick ran a fast lap of 27.631 seconds, 137.845 mph in his No. 4 Ditech Chevrolet SS around the 1.58-mile oval, to earn the runner-up starting position for Sunday’s Sylvania 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup (NSCS) race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS). It marks the 20th top-10 start of the 2015 season for the defending NSCS champion, and his 12thin 30 races at the track known as the ‘Magic Mile’.

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 Kleen Performance Products Ford Fusion -- “We’re pretty disappointed with that. We qualified up front the last race here and this morning our car was really fast, but really tight from the center off of four. We’re great everywhere, but right there and that last lap I had to lift on the gas. I was gonna hit the wall coming off of four and that cost us that one position to get in. It looks like our teammates picked up speed. I think we have decent cars here for this weekend, but it will be a challenge coming from 25th.”

Over the course of the last 12 races, nine of them have been won by Joe Gibbs Racing drivers - Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards. Wit Hamlin locked into round two with the victory at Chicagoland, and the other three drivers starting off with top-10 finishes, it seems as though Joe Gibbs Racing is easily the early favourite to take home the championship.

Following the myAFibRisk.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, the big story was the on-track contact, followed by off-track confrontation between Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson. Logano, who played a small role in the contact on the restart, stated on Friday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway that he had doesn't have much of a reaction to the skirmish between the pair of drivers as he's staying focused on his own program.

The over-the-wall pit crew for Martin Truex's No. 78 Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Chevrolet will have replacement tire changers for Sunday's Sylvania 300 Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
