Well race fans, a lot has been happening in NASCAR recently. Even though iRacing isn’t “real” racing, the consequences of your actions are very real.

First of all, I hope that you all are healthy and staying home for the most part. I know we started self-isolating before we were warned to, so this has been nearly a month of being stuck at home. But anyway, it’s a small price to pay to keep loved ones from getting sick.

Since I’m working from home, and a little bored as a result, I went out to the NASCAR Media site to see if I could dig up something interesting…

Just four races in and Joey Logano can easily say he has won half the races this season. That’s the magic of the early part of the racing season. But all kidding aside….

It didn’t look like Joey Logano was going to win the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas but he got all the luck there was and brought home the checkers.

While there was some attrition due to wrecks, the race was actually less crash filled than the Cup Busch Clash race on Sunday. That was insane.

Hey there race fans, I am back for another season of commentary about the NASCAR Cup series and anything else that strikes my racing fancy.

Denny Hamlin had a fast car this weekend, started third, won Stage 1 and led 143 laps in his battle with Joey Logano and Kyle Busch to fill the final position at the championship race at Homestead.

Denny Hamlin led a dominating 153 laps to win and advance to the next round of the playoffs. Although 10 drivers officially led laps, Kyle Larson was next in line with 60 and Martin Truex, Jr. led 33. After that, no single driver led more than 7 laps.

Going into this race, we all knew the JGR teams were going to be tough to beat, but I don’t think anyone thought they would go 1-2-3-4 at the finish. Nor did anyone think that two of the drivers would set the pace leading 311 of the 400 laps. If you are a Toyota fan, this was your race.
