Sprint Media Tour – Day Four – New NASCAR Chase Rules Mean Winning Is Everything

On the final day of the Sprint Media Tour, Brian France announced the new format for the Chase. This is a radical change from the way the Chase was originated. It emphasizes winning and almost throws consistency out the window.

Day Three of the Sprint Media Tour concluded with visits by Front Row Motorsports, the Wood Brothers racing team and Team Penske. It was all a part of Ford Day at the four-day program.

Day three of the Sprint Media Tour concluded with Team Penske. Penske’s lineup is somewhat different this year. Returning members are 2012 Sprint Cup Champion Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Ryan Blaney. Blaney will split his time between the Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series in 2014.

Win-Tron Racing Announces 2014 Plans; Includes Full-Time NCWTS Season

Win-Tron Racing and Mason Mingus will move their program to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) full time beginning next season. Mingus, 19, will pilot the team’s No. 35 entry after being with the team last season in the ARCA Racing Series.

Wednesday was Ford Day at the 2014 Sprint Media Tour. We visited with Roush-Fenway Racing and the combination of Wood Brothers Racing and Front Row Racing to begin the day.

The Sprint Media Tour – Day Two – Chip Ganassi Racing, Furniture Row, and Richard Childress Racing

Day two of the Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Tour presented by Sprint was Chevrolet Day. The NASCAR media met with Chip Ganassi Racing, Richard Childress Racing, Furniture Row Racing, and Hendrick Motorsports. First was Chip Ganassi Racing, newly renamed for this season. It was formerly known as Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing.

Sprint Media Tour – Day Two – Furniture Row Racing and Hendrick Motorsports

The final two stops on day two of the tour featured Furniture Row Racing and Hendrick Motorsports. Furniture Row found its most success last season with Kurt Busch in the driver’s seat, but Busch has been replaced by Martin Truex, Jr., who piloted a Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota in 2013.
