NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) has announced today that they will be temporarily suspending their season for 30 days.

Announced today via NHRA Series Officials is the postponement of the Florida Gatornationals due to the the ongoing Coronavirus.

One of the historic teams in NHRA drag racing, Don Schumacher Racing, is aiming high this weekend when NHRA competes at the Gatornationals.

Mobil 1™ will return to the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Mello Yellow Drag Racing Series in 2020. ExxonMobil, in partnership with Toyota Racing Development (TRD), will become Kalitta Motorsports’ official lubricant partner in 2020 and Mobil 1 racing oil will be used in all team cars.

After 18 races, the Countdown to the Championship for NHRA drivers begins this weekend at Maple Grove Raceway located in Mohnton, Pennsylvania, marking the 35th race at the dragway.

For most drivers rocketing up the stock car ladder system, their eventual goal is to reach the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Their dream is to race and win at Daytona and go on to become a champion to join the likes of Petty, Pearson, Yarborough, Gordon, Waltrip, Allison, Earnhardt and Johnson as legends of the sport.

Ford Funny Car driver Bob Tasca III will enter the 2019 NHRA season with a brand-new chance at a championship, a brand-new racecar and now, a brand-new co-crew chief. Tasca has recruited drag racing veteran Mike Green to join Eric Lane as the brain trust behind the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing Ford Mustang Funny Car.
