Team BCR Racing and Justin Allison Testing at Kentucky Speedway

Coming off his first ARCA Racing Series win at Pocono Raceway, Justin Allison will test at Kentucky Speedway on September 16. Allison, who will be driving the No. 88 HAVACOSALES.COM Ford Fusion for Team BCR Racing, will make his first laps around the track during the open test in preparation for Friday’sZLOOP 150 at Kentucky Speedway.

Fourth Annual Haubstadt Hustler Brings Tracy Hines to Tri-State Speedway

Late season special events abound as the schedule winds down for most tracks in the Midwest. In Indiana, one of the last big sprint car races is the Haubstadt Hustler at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt. This single night event brings together, both the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car Series and Midwest Sprint Car Series for a full night of action. Three editions of the Haubstadt Hustler have been contested dating back to 2011, and Tracy Hines has raced in each and every one.

Taylor Ferns Visits Fremont for the Jim Ford Classic

Ohio has a handful of “must-see” events for 410-winged sprint cars each season. The Jim Ford Classic at Fremont Speedway in certainly one of those races. Named after former Fremont Speedway Promoter, the late Jim Ford, the two-night event was born in 2007, and has continued to grow each and every year. Taylor Ferns, who has competed in some of the biggest events in Midget and Silver Crown Racing will add the Jim Ford Classic to her resume this weekend, as the first marquee 410-winged sprint car event she has competed in since returning to the discipline, after spending the previous three-plus seasons in a variety of different race cars.

Back to the Midwest: Kraig Kinser Set for Clay County & Deer Creek

Kraig Kinser has gotten plenty of windshield time over the last month as the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series has visited 10 tracks in five states and one Canadian province over the course of a grueling 13-race stretch, including seven shows in eight nights in Washington, Oregon and California. After putting in another 1,800 miles this week to get from California to Iowa, the second-generation driver will compete at Clay County Fair Speedway in Iowa, and Deer Creek Speedway in Minnesota, aboard the Mesilla Valley Transportation/Casey’s General Store/King Racing Products Maxim.

Steckly had a strong run going early when during the middle stages of the race they suffered a parts failure that would put them behind the wall for repairs for several laps.

The Tony Bettenhausen 100 Takes to the Track Again this Weekend

Tracy Hines was in a great position to claim his first Traxxas USAC Silver Crown Series win of the season in the Tony Bettenhausen 100 on August 16 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield. The veteran driver had earned the pole position for the 100-lap race and was about to bring the field to the green flag when the skies opened and rain forced the postponement of the event to this week. Hines will return to the one-mile oval in search of a win as he continues his quest for a second Silver Crown title.
