Chase Elliott took Chevrolet on its first trip to victory lane in the NASCAR Cup Series this season – claiming the checkered flag in the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway.
Denny Hamlin won the pole and the first two stages before finishing second to lead Toyota at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday evening. With the finish, Hamlin moved up to third in the point standings.
