Sanctioned by PMH, entrants will need a current SVRA Super License or equivalent to participate. The national champion will receive a $10,000 prize, in addition to several product awards.

PSSA will host a variety of Radical, Ligier, Revolution and Wolf Prototypes, and will mandate the use of Hankook racing tires.

This will be an excellent opportunity to showcase the capabilities of Hankook tires on some of the most iconic circuits in America.”

Additional details regarding PSSA rules and classes will be announced in the coming weeks on the series’ new website PrototypeSprint.com. The 2023 PSSA season will kick off at the Mission Foods Atlanta SpeedTour, March 23-26.

SHINEWATER SPONSORING NASCAR XFINITY SERIES DRIVER RYAN ELLIS IN LAS VEGAS

Ryan Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing are proud to announce that ShineWater will debut as the primary sponsor of the No. 43 Chevrolet in the Alsco Uniforms 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 4th. This will mark the brand’s first endeavor into NASCAR, as they team up with Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing to take on the 1.5-mile tri-oval located just outside of Las Vegas’ infamous city lights. Last year, Ellis made his debut with Alpha Prime Racing in the same event, finishing 13th after a chaotic and exciting 300 mile race.

ShineWater is the only ready-to-drink hydration beverage on the market with 100% of the daily recommended vitamin D dosage in a single bottle. Founded by a former FDA physician, they made their start in Michigan, and have now expanded to all 50 states.

ShineWater can be found in select retail locations across America in chains like Food Lion, Meijer, Walmart, Target, CVS, HyVee, QT, 7-11, and many more.

Nearly half of the US population battles vitamin D deficiency. ShineWater’s wide variety of flavors such as Strawberry Lemon, Mixed Berry Acai, Fruit Punch, and more, gives consumers a great way to stay hydrated and get their vitamin D with zero added sugar.

“ShineWater is a brand built from the heartland with a mission to bring vitamins and nutrients to Americans in an all-natural, good-for-you beverage. For us, a partnership with Ryan Ellis and Alpha Prime Racing just made perfect sense to help us spread the word about the importance of vitamin D,” said Ryan Coon, Chief Marketing Officer, of ShineWater.

“I’m so excited to announce this partnership with ShineWater. I found ShineWater very recently at a local Food Lion near my house and immediately fell in love with the taste and everything that the brand stands for,” said Ryan Ellis, driver of the No.43 ShineWater Chevy. “Like many others during the pandemic, I did a lot of research on the benefits of vitamin D and I have been taking daily supplements to make sure that I get my daily dose of sunshine even on days I am mostly inside. As a new parent, I’ve been focusing on keeping my immune system strong so I have the energy to chase my daughter around the house and obviously, train for the racing season. It’s great to partner with another brand that I truly believe in. I really hope that we can grow this partnership into more races in 2023 and future years.”

“We’re very proud to welcome ShineWater to the Alpha Prime Racing family. As the season gets busy and we get on the road more, it can be easy to forget to take care of your body. The folks at ShineWater developed a great way to provide an essential vitamin inside of an amazing beverage and we want to be part of their exponential growth as a brand however we can. We’re really looking forward to having their group out in Las Vegas and hope that fans head out and grab a few bottles to support our newest partner,” said Tommy Joe Martins, President of Alpha Prime Racing.

The Alsco Uniforms 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway takes place on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. It will be broadcasted live on FS1 beginning at 4:30pm ET.

Practice will take place on Friday, March 3rd at 6:30pm ET (3:30 pm local) with qualifying at 7:00pm ET (4:00 pm local). Practice and qualifying coverage TBA.

Radio coverage will be on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM. The full weekend schedule, including practice and qualifying schedule and other specific tune-in information will be announced in the coming weeks.

LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Adds Veteran Crew Chief Todd Gordon, Signs No. 43 Crew Chief Dave Elenz to Contract Extension

STATESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 23, 2023) – LEGACY MOTOR CLUB today announced NASCAR veteran Todd Gordon to crew chief seven-time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson’s limited racing schedule in the No. 84 Chevrolet. Additionally, the team announced a contract extension with Dave Elenz, to remain as crew chief for Erik Jones and the No. 43 Chevrolet through 2025. Elenz and Gordon will work alongside NASCAR Rookie of the Year candidate Noah Gragson, crew chief Luke Lambert and the No. 42 team.

As with many professionals in the motorsports industry, Gordon, 53, started out as a driver, racing limited supermodifieds at Oswego Speedway near his hometown of Camden, N.Y. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and after hanging up the helmet, pursued a career in NASCAR. Gordon began working in the Busch (now Xfinity) Series as a fabricator and mechanic in 1998. From 2004 to 2011, Gordon worked as a crew chief for multiple teams in the Xfinity Series accumulating seven pole positions, seven wins, 18-top five and 43 top-10 finishes joining Team Penske in 2011.

At the start of the 2013 season, Gordon was matched with driver Joey Logano, leading the team to 21 wins, a NASCAR All-Star race win in 2017 and the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series championship. In the final two seasons of his career as a crew chief, Gordon was paired with Ryan Blaney, winning four races, before announcing his retirement at the conclusion of the 2021 season. Throughout his successful career at NASCAR’s highest level, he is credited with 18 pole positions, 25 race wins, 123 top-five and 199 top-10 finishes. Gordon currently works as a radio sportscaster on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and is a co-host of “Late Shift” on the SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel. Once fierce competitors on the track, Gordon and Johnson will navigate the limited racing schedule starting with the DAYTONA 500.

“I’m really looking forward to working with another champion that still has the desire to compete and win at the highest level,” said Gordon. “In my conversations with Jimmie, I found we both miss the competition – but don’t want the grind of a full-time schedule – so this is a great opportunity for us to still race and help LEGACY MOTOR CLUB build on the success they saw in 2022.”

“Having the pressure of ‘making the race’ through qualifying and the Duel races is going to be a little stressful with a car that Jimmie and I haven’t worked with yet,” Gordon continued. “But the team had really good cars on superspeedways last season, so we have great resources, great teammates and a good starting point.”

Johnson echoes Gordon’s excitement and anticipation of the season ahead.

“I’m thrilled to have Todd come on board as my crew chief,” said Johnson. “I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him over the last few weeks. I have known and respected him as a competitor for many years and have always appreciated his professionalism, work ethic and results. His wisdom and experience will be beneficial to LEGACY M.C. as a whole. I believe he will work very well with Dave, Luke and the entire team.”

The 2023 season marks the sophomore year for the pairing of Erik Jones and Dave Elenz under the banner of the No. 43 made famous by Richard Petty. In their first season together, the duo racked up one win at Darlington in the Southern 500, three top-five and 13 top-10 finishes.

Elenz, 41, is a native of Gaylord, Mich., and graduate of Clemson University. He began his career in 2001 as an engineer. Elenz worked at Jasper Racing, Ginn Racing and Red Bull Racing Team before joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2012. While at Hendrick, Elenz was Johnson’s team engineer on the No. 48 team and together they won the 2013 NASCAR Cup Series title. In 2015, Elenz joined JR Motorsports’ Xfinity Series team as a crew chief. There, Elenz found much success winning 15 races with six different drivers and back-to-back Xfinity Series titles with William Byron in 2017 and Tyler Reddick in 2018. After leading the No. 9 car driven by (Noah) Gragson for three seasons, Elenz joined LEGACY M.C. to crew chief Jones at the conclusion of the 2021 season.

“I’m excited to continue my career for 2023 and beyond at LEGACY M.C.,” said Elenz. “We had a great season last year thanks to Erik and everyone at the team. There is a lot of excitement and opportunity right now at LEGACY M.C. and I’m really looking forward to getting back to the track.”

“The amount of talent and pedigree of people we have at LEGACY M.C. is really impressive,” remarked Team President Mike Beam. “I really can’t wait to get to the track and see what we can accomplish together. Maury (Gallagher), Jimmie, Joey Cohen and I have been working really hard over the off-season to put the right people in place. The experience that comes with these championship-winning crew chiefs and drivers will help us continue the legacy that Maury and I built with GMS Racing and Richard (Petty) and Dale (Inman) built with Richard Petty Motorsports and will move LECACY M.C. forward.”

LEGACY M.C. is participating in a two-day NASCAR sanctioned test at Phoenix Raceway on Jan. 24-25 with Jones and Johnson. This is the first time Johnson and Gordon will experience the Next Gen car before hitting the track in Daytona next month.

The NASCAR Cup Series season will begin in Los Angeles, California at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, February 5th, for the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum. Tune-in to FOX at 8:00 PM ET as LEGACY MOTOR CLUB makes its highly anticipated official on-track debut in the exhibition race ahead of the 65th-annual DAYTONA 500.

ABOUT LEGACY MOTOR CLUB:

LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is a team that competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, owned by Maury Gallagher and Jimmie Johnson. LEGACY M.C. operates two full-time entries, the No. 42 Chevrolet of Noah Gragson and the No. 43 Chevrolet of Erik Jones. The team also fields a third part-time entry, the No. 84 Chevrolet, for Johnson’s limited racing schedule.

For the last 75 years, the iconic Petty family name has been synonymous in NASCAR, spanning four generations. Over the course of his driving career, Team Ambassador Richard Petty forever enshrined himself as “The King”, earning 200 wins and seven NASCAR Cup Series championships alongside NASCAR Hall of Fame crew chief Dale Inman. GMS Racing entered the NASCAR Cup Series in 2021, later acquiring Richard Petty Motorsports to form Petty GMS.

The team was rebranded to LEGACY MOTOR CLUB in 2023 with the addition of Johnson, another seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, to the ownership structure. As a nod to car clubs of past eras, LEGACY M.C. is an inclusive club for the automobile racing enthusiast, fostering a team environment that will breed success for years to come. LEGACY M.C.’s vision is to honor the rich history of its past and acknowledge the future of the sport with some of today’s most iconic drivers.

LEGACY M.C. operates alongside GMS Racing, which fields three full-time entries in the NASCAR Truck Series. Since the formation of GMS Racing in 2012, Gallagher, along with one of the NASCAR garage’s most accomplished figures, Team President, Mike Beam, built a victorious organization, capturing the 2016 and 2020 NASCAR Truck Series championships, the 2015 ARCA Racing Series championship, as well as the 2019 & 2020 ARCA East championships, accumulating over 65 wins across six national racing circuits.

Mazda MX-5 Cup Prepares to Astound Fans in Season Opener at Daytona

Bigger per-race payouts, large class of rookies and new Mazda Scholarship winners set to do battle with a large roster of returning Mazda MX-5 Cup winners and champions to launch 2023 season

DAYTONA, Fla. (January 23, 2023) – The highly anticipated Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires 2023 season opener has arrived. More than 30 cars will take to Daytona International Speedway, January 25 – 27, and wow fans with some of the most intense racing of the week.

Coming into Round One and Two as the reigning Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup champion is Jared Thomas (No. 96 JTR Motorsports Engineering). Thomas’ team has expanded once again this year, fielding eight cars, including his own. It’s a significant workload, but it can’t dampen Thomas’ enthusiasm for the start of another race season.

“I feel good,” Thomas said. “It feels like a fresh start. Coming into the season, especially after a very stressful points battle last year, it feels good. I enjoy the beginning of the year so much because you’re just out and going for podiums and race wins, you’re not being conservative. It gets stressful when you start thinking about points and you’re the guy everyone is after.”

Thomas kicked off his 2022 championship season with a win in Round Two at Daytona. He knows all too well how important it is to start the year strong.

“It really sets the tone for the rest of the season,” Thomas said. “It’s always good to start the season well, because it takes the pressure off. Especially with St. Pete being next, because it’s a track you don’t have a lot of time at. The guys that are experienced at St. Pete always have the upper hand. If you can get through Daytona with a good result and show up to St. Pete with a lot of experience, it’s a good start to the season.”

Experience at Daytona is something that most of the 11 rookies entered are lacking. One who does have experience racing at this roval is the newest MX-5 Cup Shootout Scholarship winner Nate Cicero (No. 83 McCumbee McAleer Racing). Cicero raced at Daytona last year in the Spec MX-5 Challenge. A few months later he was invited to Mazda’s MX-5 Cup Shootout and came away with the big scholarship valued at $110,000. The rookie is under no illusions that his debut will be easy.

“I think a lot of it’s going to be the drafting game,” Cicero said. “I’m going to get acclimated to that and find my feet. I need to get these first two races down and gain experience. A top five would be really nice.”

Taking home the Mazda runner-up shootout scholarship valued at $75,000 is Thomas Annunziata (No. 10 Hixon Motorsports). He dipped his toe in the MX-5 Cup pool last year, racing at VIRginia International Raceway, and showed impressive pace. He is part of Hixon Motorsports’ nine entries, which includes two former scholarship winners and rookie of the year recipients: Connor Zilisch (No. 72 Hixon Motorsports) and Selin Rollan (No. 87 Hixon Motorsports).

Winner of Mazda’s Women’s Initiative Scholarship, also valued at $75,000, is Heather Hadley (No. 54 Spark Performance). Hadley’s background is quite different from her competitors. She comes to MX-5 Cup following success in Legends Racing. Hadley believes her experience has prepared her for most facets of MX-5 Cup racing, but there are some things she’s focused her off-season training on.

“I feel I’m somewhat prepared for aspects of MX-5 Cup racing,” Hadley said. “For the aspects I’m unfamiliar with, like the 45-minute long races, I’m trying to prepare in other ways that I can’t do on track. For that example in particular, I’m training at the gym for at least an hour and building up my endurance and cardio levels.”

Hadley will have experienced teammates at Spark Performance to help her adapt, including 2021 Champion Gresham Wagner (No. 5 Spark Performance).

Something that will raise a few eyebrows around the paddock is the return of Robert Noaker (No. 13 Slipstream Performance). Noaker’s 2018 MX-5 Cup race win at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course set the Guinness World Record for youngest driver to win an IndyCar-sanctioned race (14 years old). Then, in the 2020 season, he finished runner-up in the championship by a scant four points. After building his racing resume in different categories, still-young Noaker returns to MX-5 Cup after a two-year absence.

If the drivers seem to be pushing extra hard for every single position at Daytona, it might be because of the new per-race payouts. Mazda announced at the end of last season that for 2023 it would pay prize money to the top 10 drivers for all 14 races. Race winners receive $6,000 and payouts decrease incrementally until $2,000 for sixth through 10th. Additionally, the highest finishing female driver will receive $2,000. This prize money is in addition to the year-end championship payouts ($250,000 for the series champion) and brings the total of prize money and scholarships offered by Mazda this season to more than $1 million.

All MX-5 Cup races are available to stream for free on RACER.com and IMSA.com/tvlive. Round One from Daytona is set for Thursday, January 26, at 5:30pm ET. Round Two will take place Friday, January 27, at 10:15am ET.

About: The Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires is the signature spec series for Mazda Motorsports. The series has been operated by Andersen Promotions since 2017 and is currently sanctioned by IMSA. Mazda-powered grassroots champions can earn Mazda scholarships for this pro-level series. The Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup awards more than $1 million in prizes and scholarships.

Coltman Farms Racing joins Kody King as primary sponsor in 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Clear Lake, Ia. (Jan. 23, 2022) – The 2023 season will see Coltman Farms Racing expand upon their flourishing influence in pavement racing by supporting Kody King.

As King prepares to defend his championship at Hawkeye Downs Speedway and chase a title in the Big 8 Late Model Series, he will do so with Coltman Farms Racing logos adorning the hood and quarter panels of his new car supplied by Pathfinder Chassis.

The opportunity to represent Brett Coltman on pavement racing, combined with the speed of the Pathfinder Chassis, has King excited about the idea of representing the Coltman Farms Racing brand in victory lane on several occasions in 2023.

“It feels great to have [Brett] come aboard,” King said. “I’m just really grateful for the opportunity Brett has given me and I can’t thank him enough for believing in me. It’s really exciting to be an ambassador for Coltman Farms Racing as they continue to expand into asphalt racing.”

Sponsoring King’s family operation is the latest chapter in what has been a busy year for Coltman’s team.

Having already found success with driver Kenny Collins and crew chief Dwayne Frady, Coltman formally broke into asphalt racing late in 2022 by sponsoring MPM Marketing clients Boo Boo Dalton and Michael Faulk during the prestigious ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway.

Coltman said it made too much sense for him to assist King as part of his plan to further expand into pavement racing, adding that King has both the talent and composure he wants out of a driver representing his brand.

“We are excited to partner with Kody and expand our presence in the motorsports world,” Coltman said. “I had the opportunity to meet and follow Kody last year when he was with Lee Faulk Racing. He has a lot of talent for such a young kid, and we look forward to working with him and watching him progress in his racing career.”

Now that he has Coltman Farms Racing sponsorship for 2023, King is more motivated than ever to pick up from where he left off at Hawkeye Downs.

Earning a championship at his home track was one of King’s proudest moments as a driver in his young career. He has every intention of adding another Hawkeye Downs title and a Big 8 Late Model Series championship to his growing resume, with King adding that doing so with Coltman Farms Racing sponsorship would make those triumphs even more special.

“To be able to represent Coltman Farms Racing on asphalt here in the Midwest is amazing,” King said. “Having someone out there who believes in me, and my team is great, so hopefully we’ll be in for a great season.”

King will formally kick off his new partnership with Coltman Farms Racing on April 22 when the Big 8 Late Model Series heads to Rockford Speedway for the 46th annual Spring Classic.

Kody King would like to thank his parents, grandparents, fans, and supporters along with MPM Marketing and all his partners.

About Coltman Farms Racing:

Coltman Farms Racing, owned by Brett Coltman, is a Dirt Late Model team based in Maysville, Georgia that fields cars for three full-time drivers who compete in events across the United States. Coltman Farms Racing strives to be a team that fields drivers who are positive roles models for fans to not only cheer for but look up to.

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (January 22, 2023) – Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing Teams WeatherTech Racing, Winward Racing, SunEnergy1 Racing and Team Korthoff Motorsports combined to secure a double-pole sweep and top-three GT Daytona (GTD) lockout in qualifying Sunday for next weekend’s 61st Rolex 24 At Daytona at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). Maro Engel drove the No. 79 WeatherTech Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to the GTD Pro class pole with a top lap time of 1:46.784 (120.018 mph). Philip Ellis in turn won the GTD pole in the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to give the team its second-consecutive Rolex 24 pole position with a class-leading lap time of 1:46.093 (120.799 mph), which was fastest overall on the day for both GTD categories.

WeatherTech and Winward were the pole winners in a top-four overall Mercedes-AMG GT3 sweep of the GTD classes as Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing competitors left nothing on the table in a perfect qualifying performance on the 3.56-mile DIS road course.

Fabian Schiller held the GTD pole in the No. 75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 with less than four minutes to go and ultimately ended up second fastest, clocking in at 1:46.312 (120.551 mph). The top-three GTD sweep was completed by Mikael Grenier in his first race in the No. 32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a lap time of 1:46.705 (120.107 mph).

Engel and Ellis each won their first Rolex 24 pole positions, but the No. 57 team’s top qualifying effort was the second Rolex 24 pole in a row for Winward Racing. In 2022, Russell Ward and Lucas Auer co-drove the No. 57 to a qualifying race victory to secure the GTD pole for last year’s race. Ellis, Ward, Auer and returning team driver Indy Dontje co-drive the No. 57 in next weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona where Winward looks for its second GTD victory in three years after winning in the team’s first attempt at the day-long race in 2021.

Engel, who co-drove with Ellis, Ward and Dontje in Winward’s 2021 victory, now looks to give Mercedes-AMG its first GTD Pro class win next weekend in the WeatherTech Racing/Proton Competition No. 79 with co-drivers Cooper MacNeil, Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon.

Schiller shares the No. 75 SunEnergy1 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with team owner and driver Kenny Habul, Luca Stolz and Axcil Jefferies.

Grenier co-drives the Team Korthoff No. 32 with returning team driver Mike Skeen and their teammates Kenton Koch and Maximilian Götz. The No. 32 Korthoff Mercedes-AMG GT3 team finished third in GTD in last year’s Rolex 24 and led the season-long championship standings for the majority of the season.

On-track action resumes at Daytona International Raceway this Wednesday in preparation for the 61st Rolex 24 At Daytona IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opening race, January 28 – 29.

The opening hour of the Rolex 24 airs live on the flagship NBC Network on Saturday, January 28 at 1:30 p.m. EST. Coverage continues on the USA Network on Saturday from 2:30 to 8 p.m. EST and then again from 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. EST.

The race can be seen from Midnight through 5:59 a.m. EST Sunday on NBC’s Peacock streaming network before resuming on USA from 6 a.m. to Noon EST. The race then closes out with a return for the final two hours on NBC that takes the coverage to the checkered flag.

Maro Engel, Driver – No. 79 WeatherTech Racing/Proton Competition Mercedes-AMG GT3: “We definitely have an amazing car, that’s for sure. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is well adapted to all of the forms of racing we do in GT racing. From the long distance races as well as the sprint rounds. It’s always confidence inspiring, just gives the driver confidence and I definitely have to thank Mercedes-AMG for that. I think all four of the teams did a really good job today. It’s clear that we were told to push, but I’m not sure that’s the case across the grid. I’m sure there’s a few cars that will suddenly find some pace next week. Overall, it was a strong go from the team. We have some room to improve, from me personally in qualifying, but obviously it was enough for pole, which is great.”

Philip Ellis, Driver – No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3: “Last year at Daytona, and especially in the last half of the 2022 season, we were really, really strong. We’ve been able to keep that momentum going into this year. Of course, the team did great work in the off season. We worked a lot on the car and it shows. All of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 teams did the job. I was able to have a great, great lap and it showed. I think we hit the nail on the head, as did the other teams, so for us it’s fantastic. It’s the best starting position you can have for the race, but of course then it doesn’t mean anything. It’s going to be a different animal, racing 24 hours, there’s a lot of traffic, a lot can happen and it’s going to be a long, grueling race.”

Fabian Schiller, Driver – No. 75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3: “We had a good qualifying and have a great package with our Mercedes-AMG GT3. We showed it in the practice sessions and then qualifying went very well for us, finishing P2 overall and one, two, three, four for Mercedes-AMG overall is as good as you can get. But it’s a long race and we will see what the others have for 24 hours.”

Mikael Grenier, Driver – No. 32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3: “Qualifying was good. We improved the car a lot since Friday, because that day was a bit tricky for us. The team did a super job. In qualifying, Mercedes-AMG showed everything, but I believe the others are playing a bit, which is a shame. But I trust IMSA will make the right decision because we showed what we have. Korthoff is a very good team, good people inside the team, good mechanics. I know two of them from last year in Europe. We had some nice tricks. Obviously, I think we can do it, but it’s a long way in front of us before the finish of the Rolex 24.”

Ogier claims ninth Monte win in TOYOTA GAZOO Racing one-two

Car 17 (Sebastien Ogier, Vincent Landais)

TOKYO, Jan 23, 2023 – (JCN Newswire) – TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team has started the 2023 FIA World Rally Championship with a one-two finish on Rallye Monte-Carlo as Sebastien Ogier claimed a record ninth victory on the legendary event ahead of team-mate Kalle Rovanpera.

Mostly dry weather made this year’s rally more a test of outright performance than usual, and Ogier set the pace from the start with five straight stage wins as he opened up a lead of half a minute by Friday lunchtime.

The GR YARIS Rally1 HYBRID was fastest in the first 11 stages of the season, its streak only ended on Saturday afternoon – by which point Ogier was focused on managing his lead. He carried an advantage of 16 seconds over Rovanpera into the final day, when he proceeded to claim his eighth and ninth stage wins of the weekend and finished up with a winning margin of 18.8s.

Ogier’s 56th WRC win is also the first for his co-driver Vincent Landais, in only the second event since he began working with the up-and-coming French navigator at the end of last season. It is also Toyota’s fifth Monte win with a fifth different model of car: the GR YARIS Rally1 HYBRID winning all but two of the 18 stages across the weekend.

With Ogier once more only contesting selected events this season, second place plus victory in the rally-ending Power Stage represents an ideal start to Rovanpera and co-driver Jonne Halttunen’s defence of their first championship titles. Rovanpera grew in confidence and speed during the rally, taking six stage wins in total on his way to a first Rallye Monte-Carlo podium.

Elfyn Evans displayed similarly strong pace to his team-mates throughout the weekend and was second to Ogier before losing around 40s with a damaged tyre in SS5 on Friday morning. He and co-driver Scott Martin fought back to finish fourth, 27.8s from the podium despite a brief spin on Sunday morning. He was also third in the Power Stage to claim three additional bonus points.

The strong start to the season for TGR was completed by Takamoto Katsuta in his WRC Challenge Program-supported entry. He produced his strongest Rallye Monte-Carlo performance to-date alongside co-driver Aaron Johnston, frequently joining his team-mates in the top-four on stage times and finishing sixth overall.

Front Row Rolex 24 Start for The Heart of Racing

Daytona, Fla. (22 January 2023) – When the green flag drops on the 61st Running of the Rolex 24 Hour At Daytona next Saturday (live coverage on NBC, 1:30 PM), The Heart of Racing (HOR) will start the 2023 IMSA championship from the front row of the GTD PRO field with the No. 23 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

The sister No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage will start the race from the fourth row of the GTD class as a robust field of 61 GTD and Prototype machines are slated to start the race.

The two team entries earned their grid positions in a hectic 15-minute qualifying session on Sunday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway to close out the three-day Roar Before the 24 test weekend.

Ross Gunn turned his best time of the weekend in the No. 23 Aston Martin with a 1:46.824-second lap, which led the session until the final moments when Gunn’s quickest time was eclipsed by just over a tenth of a second on the 3.56-mile circuit. The front row start marks the best-ever qualifying result for HOR at Daytona International Speedway.

2022 IMSA GTD Champion Roman De Angelis piloted the No. 27 Aston Martin GTD entry for the session, placing it in the top half of the grid with a fourth-row starting spot for the iconic 24-hour race.

The Aston Martin has had a competitive and consistent pace throughout the weekend over the course of five practice sessions ahead of qualifying.

The 61st running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona International Speedway weekend will start on Thursday, January 26th, with five practice sessions before Saturday’s main event. With live coverage on NBC, the famous 24-hour race will take the green flag at 1:40 PM ET.

No. 23 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Driver Quotes:

Ross Gunn: “It’s nice to qualify in the front of the grid. Of course a qualifying session for a 24-hour race doesn’t promise much so we still have a lot of work to do. I think we can work on setup a little bit for the race, and hopefully, we’ll be able to fight for some good results.”

Alex Riberas: “First, I’d like to say I’m super excited to be in Daytona for this special event. This is my seventh Rolex 24, and I feel like each year I learn something more. This year I feel very confident with the car and the team because are definitely showing up to compete and ready to fight to the end to get that precious watch.”

David Pittard: “I’m excited to be here for the first time with The Heart of Racing, but it’s my second time here in the Aston Martin Vantage. It’s great to be here with an IMSA team that has had so much experience and it shows. We’ve worked on many improvements during the sessions on Friday and Saturday and the balance of the car feels really good. With a competitive lineup like ours in the car, we are ready to make the most out of the 24 hours with a nice clean car so I think we have a good shot at the win.”

No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Rolex 24 Driver Quotes:

Roman De Angelis: “Qualifying went really well, we’re in the top half of the grid which is really important and a great place to start for the Rolex 24; hopefully far enough forward to dodge the chaos at the beginning. The car delivered a solid qualifying lap, and Ross did a really nice job qualifying second in GTD PRO. Both HOR cars are competitive this year so we’ll see what happens in the race.”

Marco Sorensen: “I think practice went quite steady; we tried a lot of things with the car to make it the best possible for race day. Roman did a great job in qualifying and now we can shift our focus to the race next weekend.”

Darren Turner: “Being back in Daytona with The Heart of Racing has been great and it’s great to have the hard work that’s been put into the setup of the car start to pay off. It feels a lot different from what we had last year and is a leap in the right direction. With a bit more tweaking with test sessions this week, I think we will be in a perfect position for the main event.”

Ian James: “We had a good Roar with very valuable practice time to getting ready for the race. It’s always a game of luck, but this year we feel more prepared than we ever have leading into the Rolex 24.”

Understand Games Worth

There are many slot games, and some are easier to play than the rest. Depending on your level, pick a game you love and understand well, increasing your winning. It helps when you keep random numbers when picking an online slot to play, because every time you spin the wheel, it registers as a unique event. Remember, the more money you invest, is not the guarantee that you will win. Set a budget to play with, as this will guide you not to chase losses after losing.

When a site offers you no deposit bonuses, it’s the same as giving you free money. After signing up, take advantage of the welcome bonuses to stake your favorite slot game. Imagine how playing for free and winning for real money would feel. Well, that is the same feeling you get when you play with the bonuses for cash.

Remember, when you manage a substantial win, you will be required to deposit some amount before withdrawing your money. Your deposit will be lower than your winning, so you will still have made money in the long run.

Software Developer

When you play a game from an intelligent developer, you get quality playtime. You are also guaranteed quality. Slots are different in that some are known for a big win, and your research needs to guide you on which slot to play.

  • Avoid playing in places that rarely deliver wins.
  • Look out for slot machines that only give you success when you play with the bonuses, as you will be required to deposit some amount before withdrawal, and the house will keep on gaining.

The Paytable

  • Before wagering, be keen on the paytable.
  • You can research the games to play before placing a bet.
  • There is variation in each slot which may affect your bankroll at the end of the game.
  • You can always search for detailed reviews of an online slot game and emphasize the slot features.
  • There are features like multipliers, wilds, or scatters that improve your bankroll.

To increase your chances of winning, it helps if you play more than one slot game. For example, you may be good at the jilibet, but you need to find another slot game you enjoy playing to increase your chances of winning by wagering on both.
