Coming off his eighth top-10 finish of the season, Carson Kvapil will return to Dover Motor Speedway where he made his second career NASCAR Xfinity Series start in 2024.

In his previous start at Dover, Kvapil began the race towards the rear and fought his way to a runner-up finish after leading 14 laps.

The 22-year-old Mooresville native has also made one start on the 1-mile concrete oval in the ARCA Menards Series where he took the checkered flag in third.

On tracks 1-2 miles in length in the NXS, Kvapil has made 15 starts which includes six top-10s, four top-fives and 90 laps led.

Carson Kvapil

“Dover is a track that I feel really fits my driving style and we have run well there in the past. This No. 1 team has learned a lot since we ran here last year, so I know we will unload another fast Bass Pro Shops/Clarience Technologies Chevrolet this weekend. We plan to have a strong day on Saturday and hope to come out on top in the end.”

Overall, Allgaier has earned 12 top-fives and 16 top-10s to accompany his two victories at “The Monster Mile.”

Allgaier’s 12 top-fives at Dover rank tied for the most among all tracks that the Illinois native has competed on in the NXS with Bristol Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.

This weekend marks the first race for Registix onboard the No. 7 Chevrolet.

Justin Allgaier

“Dover has been one of my favorite tracks for a long time. We have always unloaded really strong here and I know that is going to be the case again on Saturday. Jim (Pohlman, crew chief) and all the guys on this No. 7 team have been unbelievable all year long and I can’t wait to see what we can do with our Registix Chevrolet this weekend. It’s going to be a fun race for sure.”

Of the Johnston, Iowa natives 22 NXS starts on oval tracks measuring 1-1.5 miles in length, Smith has tallied one win, three top-five and 11 top-10 finishes.

According to NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics, Smith is ranked fourth for the most laps run in the top 15 this season (81.4 percent).

Sammy Smith

“I’m looking forward to getting back to an oval track this weekend, especially to a place like Dover. This No. 8 team has been competitive on the road courses this year, we have a good rhythm going, but I think we’re all happy to head to a track we feel more confident on. I know Phillip (Bell, crew chief) and the team will unload a fast Pilot Chevrolet on Saturday to keep us up front.”

Saturday’s race marks Chastain’s fourth of five scheduled races behind the wheel of the No. 9 Acceptance Insurance Chevrolet for JRM this season. He has finished eighth, fourth and fifth so far this season in the No. 9 entry. He’ll make his final XNXS start of the season at Iowa Speedway on Aug. 2 in the Acceptance Chevy.

Chastain has 12 starts in the NXS at Dover. His most recent start in August 2020 at the Delaware track resulted in a second-place finish.

The No. 9 NXS entry has visited Victory Lane twice this season under the guidance of crew chief Cory Shea – Mexico City with Daniel Suarez and the Chicago Street Race with Shane van Gisbergen.

Ross Chastain

“Dover is a special track to me. It’s where I got my first Cup Series start back in 2017. It’s such a unique track and one of my favorite on the schedule which is why I wanted to drive in the Xfinity race. It would be a huge win for me and Acceptance Insurance to get into Victory Lane on Saturday. They have an awesome Miles the Monster trophy and Cory has won with my two Trackhouse teammates in the No. 9 this year. I need to add my name to that list so he has wins with every driver he’s had this season.”

Connor Zilisch will make his first Dover start in the NXS this Saturday afternoon.

Last week at Sonoma Raceway, Zilisch scored his third win of the 2025 season after leading 46 of the 79 laps. The victory came in his first NXS start at Sonoma and was his fourth in 22 career starts. He enters Dover tied with Justin Allgaier and Austin Hill for most NXS wins this season.

The victory at Sonoma was his seventh consecutive top-five finish, an impressive streak that began at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. His average finish in those seven races is a sizzling 2.42.

The driver of the Carolina Carports Chevrolet is no stranger to success at Dover. Zilisch won his first ARCA race there in 2024, leading the final 42 laps.

Zilisch enters Dover fourth in the NXS driver standings, five points behind third-place Hill and 69 behind leader Allgaier.

Connor Zilisch

“I won the ARCA race at Dover last year and I really enjoy the track. It’s a high-banked, high-grip, concrete track that changes a lot throughout a run so we’ll have to stay on top of it. We were fast at Bristol and Nashville, the other concrete tracks we go to, so I’m optimistic about this weekend. I’m eager to keep the momentum going and be there at the end when it counts in our No. 88 Carolina Carports Chevrolet.”

In seven Xfinity Series starts at the one-mile concrete oval, Gragson has two top-five and five top-10 finishes. 23XI Intersect Presented by Xfinity Kicks Off Brickyard Race Weekend in Indianapolis on July 25

DJ Envy to headline event blending the worlds of racing, music, culture, and community

Huntersville, N.C. (July 16, 2025) – 23XI Racing announced today that DJ Envy, music producer and co-host of the iconic radio show, The Breakfast Club, will headline 23XI Intersect presented by Xfinity set to take place on July 25 in Indianapolis, Ind., ahead of the Brickyard 400 race weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The free and open-to-the-public event is an immersive experience in Bicentennial Plaza outside of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, blending racing, music, culture, and community. With a founding mission of making the sport more inclusive and welcoming, Intersect is set to introduce new fans to 23XI and racing through a completely fresh lens.

Following last year’s event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 23XI Intersect presented by Xfinity has expanded significantly. What began as primarily a car show now includes appearances by 23XI drivers Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and Riley Herbst, along with activations and experiences designed to give both committed and curious race fans a unique perspective on 23XI and what a race team can be. In addition to a featured performance by DJ Envy, an avid car collector, car enthusiast, and Monster Energy artist, attendees at the event will also experience hands-on activations from numerous 23XI partners.

Xfinity, the presenting partner, will have its Boomin’ Burnout experience on hand, allowing guests to virtually experience the thrill of victory burnouts without the grueling work of winning a race. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to test their skills behind the wheel in racing simulators provided by Logitech G. Always a fan favorite, 23XI partner McDonald’s will be on-site with their McRig mobile kitchen for guests to sample popular menu items.

It wouldn’t be a NASCAR experience without some serious horsepower. Team partner Toyota will display several one-of-a-kind vehicles, including a not-yet-in-production prototype and two vehicles previously displayed at SEMA. Indianapolis Motor Speedway will also bring specially-wrapped show cars to promote the upcoming Brickyard 400. Shady Rays, the official sunglasses provider of 23XI, will also feature an on-site pop-up shop. Additionally, the United States Air Force will have a recruiting tent at the event to speak with those interested in military service.

Following the event, attention will turn to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the NASCAR Cup Series will race in Sunday’s Brickyard 400. Fans who attend 23XI Intersect presented by Xfinity will receive a voucher for a ticket to the race, providing an opportunity to experience the excitement of 23XI and NASCAR in person.

More exciting artists and activations are being added, so stay tuned for further information. For event registration, please click here.

“Since our founding five years ago, our team has been committed to growing motorsports and reaching fans wherever they may be,” said 23XI VP of Marketing Jamie Ruiz. “Intersect is a great opportunity for 23XI to expose a wider audience to our team and racing. Through engaging activations with our partners and exciting performances, we look forward to making new fans and providing a great experience for our avid fans.”

“23XI has done a great job over the years of thinking of new and creative ways to reach out to our fans and anyone who might be interested in our sport,” said Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE. “Intersect is another great opportunity for us to show off the excitement of racing and highlight that there’s a place for everyone in NASCAR.”

“Our fans help make 23XI who we are and I’m excited to introduce our team to a new audience that can continue to help make 23XI unique,” said Tyler Reddick, driver of the No. 45 Toyota Camry XSE. “We want everyone to see that there’s more to our team than just what happens on raceday, and Intersect will be a great event that shows a different side of who we are.”

“As the newest member of the team at 23XI, I’ve been impressed by how our team connects with fans,” said Riley Herbst, driver of the No. 35 Toyota Camry XSE and former winner at IMS in the Xfinity Series. “Indy is a great sports town and a place that supports racing, so we’re looking forward to those fans bringing a lot of energy to Intersect.”

About 23XI Racing
23XI Racing – pronounced twenty-three eleven – was founded by NBA legend Michael Jordan and three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin in 2020. With rising NASCAR star Bubba Wallace selected to drive the No. 23 Toyota Camry, the team made its NASCAR Cup Series debut in the 2021 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway. Wallace made history on October 4, 2021, when he captured his first career Cup Series win, becoming just the second African American to win in the Cup Series, and earning 23XI its first-ever victory. 23XI expanded to a two-car organization in 2022 with Cup Series Champion Kurt Busch driving the No. 45 Toyota Camry. With a win at Kansas Speedway in May of 2022, Busch earned 23XI the team’s first-ever playoff berth. In 2024, Tyler Reddick won the Regular Season Championship and raced to a spot in the Championship 4, a first for both the team and Reddick. 23XI currently features the lineup of Bubba Wallace in the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE, Tyler Reddick in the No. 45 Toyota Camry XSE, Riley Herbst in the No. 35 Toyota Camry XSE and Corey Heim as the team’s development driver. Joey Logano to make 600th Cup career start at Dover

Photo by John Knittel for SpeedwayMedia.com.

In his quest to defend his NASCAR Cup Series championship and win a fourth overall, Joey Logano is on the verge of achieving a milestone start. By competing in this weekend’s fourth In-Season Tournament event of the year at Dover Motor Speedway, the driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford Mustang Dark Horse entry will make his 600th career start in NASCAR’s premier series.

A native of Middletown, Connecticut, Logano made his Cup Series debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September 2008. By then, he was campaigning on a part-time basis for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) in the Xfinity Series. He also became the youngest winner in the series after winning at Kentucky Speedway three months earlier at age 18 years and 21 days.

It was also announced that he would drive JGR’s iconic No. 20 Toyota Camry entry in the 2009 Cup season in August. He would replace two-time Cup champion Tony Stewart, as he would drive for his self-owned team, Stewart-Haas Racing.

He drove the No. 96 Toyota Camry entry for Hall of Fame Racing for his Cup debut at New Hampshire. Logano started 40th and finished a season-best 32nd place. He made two additional Cup starts in the 2008 season, finishing 39th while driving for Hall of Fame Racing at Kansas Speedway in late September. Logano then finished 40th in a fourth JGR entry (No. 02 Toyota) at Texas Motor Speedway in November.

In 2009, Logano’s first full-time campaign in the Cup Series and as the driver of the No. 20 JGR Toyota entry commenced on a low note. After contact from Greg Biffle, Logano spun and slapped the inside wall towards the frontstretch. He hit head-on and finished in 43rd place, dead last. He finished no higher than 13th during his next seven starts before recording his first three top-10 results in three of his next four starts.

Within the four-race span, he led 19 laps during his first Southern 500 run at Darlington Raceway in May. He also made his first All-Star Race start at Charlotte Motor Speedway after he transferred from the All-Star Open by claiming the Fan Vote title, where he finished eighth.

Then, after finishing no higher than 15th during his next four starts, Logano utilized a strategic pit call to score his first Cup career victory in a rain-shortened event at New Hampshire in late June. The victory occurred after the Connecticut rookie rallied from spinning in Turn 4 on Lap 180 due to cutting a left-rear tire to assume the lead on Lap 264.

He would lead the next 10 laps and remain ahead of Jeff Gordon before the event was delayed and eventually declared official due to inclement weather. As a result, Logano became the youngest winner in the Cup Series history at age 19 years, one month and four days, a record that he still holds as of July 2024.

Despite missing the 2009 Playoffs, Logano would finish in the top 10 an additional three times throughout the final 19 events on the schedule. With a 20th-place result in the final standings, he wrapped up the Rookie-of-the-Year title over Scott Speed.

Compared to his rookie Cup season, Logano commenced his sophomore Cup campaign in 2010 by finishing the 52nd running of the Daytona 500 both on the lead lap and in 20th place. He accomplished this despite being involved in a late incident with Bill Elliott. He then recorded a total of three top-five results and 10 top-10 results throughout the remaining 25-race regular-season stretch.

Within the span, he finished a season-best second place at Martinsville Speedway. He also claimed his first Cup Series career pole at Bristol Motor Speedway, both of which occurred in March. Despite missing the Playoffs for a second consecutive season, he capped off the 2010 season on a strong note.

Logano earned six top 10s during the 10-race Playoff stretch and finished in 16th place in the final standings. He also improved his average finish from 20.5 to 16.2 and doubled his total top-five and top-10 results from his rookie season.

The 2011 Cup Series season was a difficult season for Logano. He only notched a total of four top-five results and six top-10 results throughout the 36-race schedule. During the season, he captured a pair of season-best results. He scored a third-place finish at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte in May and at Daytona in July. Logano also claimed two poles at Sonoma Raceway and Pocono Raceway, and surpassed 100 career Cup Series starts. But, he fell back to 24th place in the final standings.

Logano rebounded in 2012. He doubled his total top-10 results from six to 12, improving his average finishing result from 19.1 to 17.4. Logano also tripled his total laps led from 58 to 190. During the season, Logano made a triumphant return to Victory Lane in the Cup Series.

He bumped and overtook Mark Martin with four laps remaining to claim his second career win. It was his first while also completing all scheduled distances in an event. He missed the Playoffs for a fourth consecutive season. But he improved on his final points result by seven spots, from 24th to 17th.

In September 2012, it was announced that Logano would join Team Penske and drive the No. 22 Ford Fusion entry in 2013. The 2003 Cup champion, Matt Kenseth, would replace the latter at JGR. He commenced his first full-time season with Penske by finishing 19th during the 55th running of the Daytona 500. Logano endured an eventful start through the first four scheduled events, finishing no higher than 12th on the track.

During his latest start at Bristol Motor Speedway in March, he engaged in a post-race confrontation with former teammate Denny Hamlin. This was due to an early run-in as Hamlin spun Logano towards the outside wall through the first two turns. Logano would then return the favor.

On the final lap, while battling Hamlin for the victory at Auto Club Speedway, he made contact with Hamlin. It resulted in Logano slapping the outside wall through the final two turns and Hamlin hitting the inside wall head-on. Despite finishing third, Logano engaged in a post-race scuffle with Tony Stewart. This was due to Stewart expressing his displeasure over being blocked by Logano on the final restart period with 11 laps remaining.

Amid the eventful start in 2013, Logano finished in the top 10 during his next 17 scheduled starts 10 times. At Michigan International Speedway in August, Logano led a race-high 51 of 200 laps from the pole position. He then capitalized on Mark Martin running out of fuel with four laps remaining.

He captured his third Cup career victory and first while driving for Team Penske. The Michigan victory enabled Logano to place himself in contention to make the Playoffs. Logano finished fifth, second and 22nd throughout the remaining three regular-season events to clinch his first berth in the Playoffs. It was his first appearance as a title contender by a slim margin.

His title hopes took an early hit due to an engine failure during the Playoff opener at Chicagoland Speedway. However, Logano capped off the final nine events on the schedule by finishing in the top nine five times. He settled in eighth place in the final standings. Overall, he had also earned an extra nine top-five results, seven additional top-10 results and tripled his laps led. He also boosted his average finishing result to three spots (14.1) compared to his final season at Joe Gibbs Racing.

The following three seasons (2014-16) were breakout years for Logano. The Connecticut native scored a total of 14 victories, including the 2015 Daytona 500. He also won back-to-back Bristol Night Races between 2014 and 2015, and back-to-back fall Talladega Superspeedway victories between 2015 and 2016. He swept the Round of 12 trio of events.

Logano also claimed the 2016 All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway following a late battle with Kyle Larson. In addition to the race victories, he accumulated 10 poles, 54 top-five results, 76 top-10 results and 3,127 laps led. He also recorded a career-best average finishing result of 9.2. Logano also led a career-high 1,431 laps and obtained a career-high 22 top-five finishes and 28 top-10 finishes in 2015.

Amid the competitive success during all three seasons, he fell short of winning his first title. This was due to a jack dropping out of his car during a late pit stop during the 2014 finale. He missed the Championship 4 round in 2015 after he was intentionally wrecked by Matt Kenseth during the Round of 8 opener at Martinsville Speedway.

The incident was payback for an incident two races earlier and for being involved in a late incident with title contender Carl Edwards during the 2016 finale. Within the three seasons, Logano’s highest points result was second in 2016.

In 2017, Logano endured a difficult season despite commencing the year by winning the non-points Clash at Daytona in February. Two months later, he recorded his first points-paying victory of the season at Richmond in his 300th Cup career start. Ultimately, the Richmond victory was ruled as encumbered and did not guarantee him a Playoff berth.

This was due to his race-winning car having a rear suspension issue during the post-race inspection process. Over his next 17 starts, he finished outside the top 20 10 times. This resulted in him missing the Playoffs for the first time since 2012. During the 10-race Playoff stretch, Logano finished in the top 10 in half of the stretch. He settled in 17th place in the final standings.

For a majority of the 2018 Cup season, Logano endured a consistent year. He achieved a single regular-season victory at Talladega in April to return to the Playoffs. He maintained the consistency to transfer from the Round of 16 to 8. Then, he bumped, rubbed and edged Martin Truex Jr. to win the Round of 8 opener at Martinsville. In doing so, he clinched a Championship 4 berth.

Three races later, Logano overtook Truex with 12 laps remaining. He continued to win the finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, achieving his first Cup Series championship. He became the 32nd competitor to win a title in NASCAR’s premier series. It was also the second Cup title for Team Penske.

Over his next three Cup campaigns (2019-21), Logano notched a total of six victories. They included back-to-back spring Las Vegas Motor Speedway events during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He also won the inaugural Bristol Motor Speedway Dirt Course event in 2021. He made the Championship 4 round in 2020 and finished in third place in the final standings.

But he fell short during the 2019 and 2021 seasons. Logano ended up in fifth and eighth, respectively, in the standings. During the seasons, he recorded 34 top-five results, 61 top-10 results and 2,291 laps led. He also reached 400 Cup career starts after taking the green flag at the Daytona 500 in 2020.

During the 2022 season, Logano roared out of the gate, winning the inaugural Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. He then claimed regular-season victories at Darlington Raceway in May and the series’ inaugural event at World Wide Technology Raceway in June. He made the Playoffs for the ninth time in his career.

After transferring from the Round of 16 to 8 by points, he clinched a Championship 4 berth for the fifth time after winning the Round of 8’s opener at Las Vegas. Then, during the finale at Phoenix Raceway, Logano led a race-high 187 of 312 laps, including the final 30.

He won both the race and his second Cup Series championship, making him the 17th competitor to win multiple titles in NASCAR’s premier series. By then, he surpassed 500 Cup career starts.

Compared to the 2022 season, the 2023 Cup season featured Logano winning only once at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March. Despite clinching his 10th career Playoff berth, he was involved in a multi-car wreck midway through the Round of 16 finale at Bristol. The incident knocked him out of title contention and relegated him to 12th place in the final standings.

He rallied this past season. Logano won the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway in May, Nashville Superspeedway in June and the Playoff opener at Atlanta in September. This enabled him to transfer to the Round of 12. His title hopes initially evaporated following the Round of 12. But he was vaulted back into the Playoffs when Alex Bowman was disqualified from further contention.

He won the Round of 8 opener at Las Vegas amid a late pit strategy to make the Championship 4 round for the sixth time in his career (all of which have occurred in even years). Logano then fended off a late challenge from teammate and title contender Ryan Blaney to win the finale at Phoenix and claim his third Cup Series championship, which made him the 10th competitor overall to achieve at least three titles in NASCAR’s premier series.

Through 599 previous starts in the Cup Series, Logano has achieved three championships, 37 victories, 32 poles, 169 top-five results and 292 top-10 results. He has led 9,252 laps and has an average finishing result of 14.3. Logano achieved his first victory of the 2025 season at Texas Motor Speedway in May. To go along with a pole, he has two top-five results, five top-10 results, 358 laps led and an average finish of 17.2 through 20 scheduled starts.

Logano is currently ranked in 11th place in the 2025 driver standings. With 16 races remaining on this year’s schedule overall, Logano is in pursuit of becoming the fifth competitor to achieve at least four championships in NASCAR’s premier series.

He is scheduled to make his 600th Cup Series career start at Dover Motor Speedway for the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 and for the penultimate In-Season Tournament of this year. The event is slated to occur next Sunday, July 20, and air at 2 p.m. ET on TNT.

TOP FUEL’S SHAWN REED HAS BIG HOPES AT MUCKLESHOOT CASINO RESORT NHRA NORTHWEST NATIONALS

SEATTLE (July 15, 2025) – Top Fuel driver Shawn Reed feels like he’s been on the cusp of a breakout performance all year. This weekend would be the perfect time for it to come true, as Reed heads to his home track, Pacific Raceways, for the 36th annual Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals.

It’s the track where Reed grew up racing, watching his idols in the nitro ranks, and years later, Reed is now making 330-mph runs in his 12,000-horsepower Shawn Reed Racing dragster. All that’s missing now is a victory in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series and Reed believes his team is fully capable of that this weekend in Seattle.

The team has qualified well for most of the year in the talented Top Fuel category, but putting together four strong rounds on raceday is never easy. This weekend, though, would certainly be the ideal one for it all come together for Reed.

“All I ever wanted is a Wally, so to get that in Seattle would be the most amazing thing ever,” Reed said. “I don’t necessarily think the stakes are higher being I’m at my home track, but I do put the pressure on myself to perform and yes, I hope to be successful in front of my hometown, friends and family and coworkers.”

Last year, Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Austin Prock (Funny Car), Jeg Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) and Chase Van Sant (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all picked up victories, while Justin Ashley, Prock, Aaron Stanfield and Gaige Herrera won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge bonus race. It is the 11th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA season and this weekend in Seattle is loaded with excitement.

Reed and the rest of the nitro classes will qualify under the lights on Friday, with the Deecell Power Systems “After Dark Low Qualifier” offering a special bonus for the quickest run in each class during the must-see night session. That leads into three nitro qualifying sessions on Saturday and eliminations on Sunday on a weekend where expected standout weather could lead to incredible performances in the Pacific Northwest.

Reed could certainly be one of those drivers to turn in something special, as he’s shown glimpses this year. The team has qualified fourth at three of the past six races, and Reed has dipped into the 3.60s on a pair of occasions this year.

That may be necessary this weekend, especially going against a lineup that includes points leader and racing legend Tony Stewart, as well as Shawn Langdon, Justin Ashley, who has won back-to-back races, Brittany Force, Doug Kalitta and Clay Millican, but Reed has confidence in his group.

If a few breaks go his way, Reed likes his chances and he knows his team will be ready to put on a show in Seattle.

“The car has been awesome,” Reed said. “You know all year long our qualifying position has been great. The car’s been running well. We just have had some bad luck on Sunday. We can’t try to change anything up. We’ve just got to keep doing what we’re doing and pretty soon I just believe that the luck will change and we can get that first win.”

Defending Funny Car world champion Prock continues to impress race fans in 2025 as he once again leads the points after collecting four wins. Others to watch include John Force Racing teammate Jack Beckman, Ron Capps, Matt Hagan and J.R. Todd.

The Pro Stock ranks has been dominated this season by the KB Titan Racing powerhouse, led by reigning champion Greg Anderson. He has four wins, while his teammate Dallas Glenn has three. Cory Reed earned his career first win in Norwalk. Others to watch include multi-time champs Erica Enders and Jeg Coughlin.

Pro Stock Motorcycle is again led by reigning champion Herrera, who has three wins in 2025. Six-time champ Matt Smith is second, while Herrera’s teammate Richard Gadson is third. Others to watch will be John Hall, who won for the first time in 12 years when he won in Norwalk, as well as Angie Smith, Jianna Evaristo and Van Sant.

The weekend kicks off with $15,000 Mission Foods Machine Tournament at Muckleshoot Casino Resort at 1 p.m. on Thursday, where fans can register for free.

The NHRA FanFest presented by Explore Auburn takes place from 5-7 p.m. PT on Thursday in front of Dave & Buster’s at The Outlet Collection (1101 Outlet Collection Dr. SW, Auburn, WA 98001), with autographs and a meet and greet with NHRA standouts taking place from 6-7 p.m.

Scheduled to appear is an impressive list of drivers in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, including Top Fuel stars Ida Zetterstrom and Jasmine Salinas, Funny Car standouts Chad Green, Hunter Green, Alexis DeJoria, Buddy Hull, rookie Dylan Winefsky, Pro Stock’s Cory Reed, Mason McGaha and Chris McGaha, as well as Pro Stock Motorcycle points leader Gaige Herrera, Richard Gadson, defending event winner Chase Van Sant and Chris Bostick.

On Saturday following qualifying, race fans can visit Muckleshoot Casino Resort for the official NHRA after-party with live music from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. PT.

Also on the track will be the standouts in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. All weekend, fans will be invited to the Nitro Alley Stage, which is the main entertainment hub in the pits. The stage hosts Nitro School, meet and greets, autograph sessions and more. Seattle race fans can enjoy the special pre-race ceremonies that introduce each driver and includes the fan favorite SealMaster Track Walk. Fans are also invited to congratulate the winners at the winner’s circle celebration on Sunday.

As always, fans get a pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction on the planet. Fans can see their favorite teams in action and servicing their cars, get autographs and more. They can also visit NHRA’s Manufacturers Midway, where sponsors and vendors create an exciting atmosphere.

NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series qualifying will feature two rounds of qualifying on Friday, July 18 for the Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle classes at 6:40 and 8:15 p.m. PT, with Top Fuel and Funny Car taking to the track at 9:15 p.m. PT. On Saturday, July 19, nitro teams will qualify three times at 12:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle will qualify at 3:45 p.m. and 6:05. Race day will kick off with nitro eliminations on Sunday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m.

Television coverage includes qualifying action at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday on FS1, leading into eliminations on FOX at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.

LEGACY MOTOR CLUB: DOVER MOTOR SPEEDWAY RACE PREVIEW

LEGACY MOTOR CLUB: DOVER MOTOR SPEEDWAY PRE-RACE ADVANCE
EVENT: Dover 400

DATE: July 20, 2025
RACE: NASCAR Cup Series 21 of 36
TRACK: Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway | 1-mile, concrete oval

CLUB MINUTES:
TNT IN SEASON BRACKET: This week’s race at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway marks the final four drivers in TNT’s In-Season Tournament Challenge. After barely nudging out his teammate Erik Jones, John Hunter Nemechek advances to this round to face Ty Dillon to move onto the finals next Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. If Nemechek can best Dillon this weekend, he’ll have a chance to face either Ty Gibbs or Tyler Reddick to win the $1 million prize.

PLAYOFF PICTURE WITH SIX TO GO: The NASCAR Playoffs kick off on Aug. 31 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. With only six races to go, the LEGACY MOTOR CLUB drivers are on the hunt for a spot in the playoffs. Jones is currently 21st in the playoff standings, only 68 points below the cutline while Nemechek is 25th, 75 points below the cutline.

PIT CREW PERFORMANCE: LEGACY MC had another top-10 pit crew performance last Sunday at Sonoma (Ca.) Raceway. According to Asphalt Analytics, the No. 43 pit crew was ranked eighth for the day on pit road with a 9.26 second average. This is their fourth top-10 ranking in the last seven races.

JJ DOMINATED DOVER: LEGACY MC co-owner and seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson has dominated at the 1-mile concrete oval of Dover Motor Speedway in his career. In his 39 starts, Johnson has won 11 times and scored 18 top-fives and 27 top-10s in addition to his 3,113 laps led at that track alone. His first win came in his debut at the track in June 2002 by .478 of a second over Bill Elliott, which he then followed up with another win September 2002 by .535 second of a second over Mark Martin. The most recent victory at Dover came in June 2017, which was his 83rd win, which tied him for sixth all time on the NASCAR wins list. It was Johnson’s final trip to Victory Lane as a full-time Cup Series driver as he defeated Kyle Larson for the trophy.

KENSETH AT DOVER: LEGACY MC competition advisor Matt Kenseth has also found success at the track nicknamed “The Monster Mile” as he secured three NASCAR Cup Series victories in his 41 career starts. He scored his first victory in June 2006 by a .787 of second margin over Jamie McMurray. In May 2011, Kenseth found victory lane with a 2.122-seconds margin over Mark Martin. His third victory at the track was in the May 2016 race where he finished .187 of second ahead of Kyle Larson. In total, he owns 17 top-fives and 24 top-10s at Dover with 905 laps led.

KENSETH’S FIRST RIDE: In September 1998, Kenseth made his first NASCAR Cup Series career start at the 1-mile oval of Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway. He had attempted to make the April Talladega race earlier that year but did not qualify for the event. A couple months later, he had another chance to race as he filled in for Bill Elliott who had to miss the race for personal reasons. Kenseth started 16th in the No. 94 car and finished an impressive sixth in his first career start.

THE KING’S WINS AT DOVER: LEGACY MC ambassador and “The King” Richard Petty had a successful career at Dover as well. Like Johnson, Petty won in his first two NASCAR Cup Series races at Dover in July 1969 and September 1970. He went on to win the October 1971, September 1974, September 1975, September 1979, and May 1984 races at Dover for a total of seven victories. He earned 16 top-fives and 26 top-10s to go with his 2,206 laps led at Dover.

NEVER SETTLE: Join ESPN’s Marty Smith and LEGACY MOTOR CLUB’s co-owner Jimmie Johnson for their weekly podcast, “Never Settle”. The podcast airs live on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90 at 2 p.m. ET every Wednesday and can be downloaded wherever fans source their podcasts. This week’s guests are LEGACY MC drivers Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek.

JOHN HUNTER NEMECHEK
NO. 42 HERTZ TOYOTA CAMRY XSE
JHN AT DOVER: Nemechek has three starts at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series, with two top-20 finishes—one in 2020 and another in 2024. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, he has made seven starts at the track, earning four top-10 finishes, including one top-five in 2023. Nemechek also has four starts at Dover in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, with his best finish being sixth in 2014.

T-MACK DOVER STATS: Sunday’s race will be crew chief Travis Mack’s seventh NASCAR Cup Series race at the Monster Mile. His first outing came in 2017 with Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who earned a seventh-place finish, Mack’s highest at Dover. He returned in 2018 with Kasey Kahne, where he earned a 17th-place finish. In 2021, Mack returned to the top of the pit box at Dover in the Cup Series with Daniel Suárez, where the duo competed for three years in a row, with their highest finish being ninth in their first year. Last year at the Monster Mile, he earned a 13th place finish with AJ Allmendinger. In the NASCAR Xfinity series, Mack has four starts at Dover with Michael Annett, and earned top 10 results in each race, with the highest in 2019 where they finished sixth.

HERTZ JOINS THE CLUB: LEGACY MOTOR CLUB announced that Hertz will be the primary sponsor of Nemechek’s No. 42 Toyota Camry XSE for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway on July 20. The black-and-gold Hertz livery will return to NASCAR, highlighting the growing partnership between LEGACY MOTOR CLUB and team co-owner Knighthead Capital Management, LLC. Knighthead who also co-owns the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA in the FIA World Endurance Championship, aligning both programs under a unified global motorsports strategy.

JOHN HUNTER NEMECHEK QUOTE:
“Dover is a really neat race track. You can definitely move around quite a bit, you can run the bottom, you can run the top. Dover is a really challenging place, it’s a lot of physical abuse on the driver. Jimmie was probably one of the best there, so I’m going to pick his brain before going back there. He had a strong run going there last year as well in the Next Gen car, and Travis has had some success there in the past as well. Hopefully we have a really good Toyota Camry XSE with Hertz on board. We’re excited to have them on the No. 42 for their first race, and we’ll see what we can do.”

TRAVIS MACK QUOTE:
“We’re in the Final Four of the In-Season Challenge at Dover, which is really exciting. John Hunter has run really good at Dover in the other series, and we’re just going to keep capitalizing on our downforce setup and intermediate package. We had a decent car at Bristol, so I feel like we could carry everything right over into Dover. We’re ready to go to Dover and have a great race and make it into the final round at Indy.”

ERIK JONES
NO. 43 DOLLAR TREE TOYOTA CAMRY XSE
JONES DOVER STATS: Sunday’s race at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway will mark Jones’ 12th NASCAR Cup Series start at the 1-mile, concrete oval. In his 11 prior starts, the Michigan-native has earned one top-five and three top-10s. He earned a best finish of fourth in October 2018 after starting 16th. He has an additional six starts outside of the Cup Series at Dover – five in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and one in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Jones earned a third-place finish in his one and only Truck Series start after starting second and leading 50 laps. He earned two top-10s at Dover in the Xfinity Series including his win in the May 2016 race by a 1.434 second margin of victory over Bubba Wallace.

WINNER AT DOVER: Jones has already defeated Miles the Monster once in his career. In his one and only full-time season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2016, Jones had already won once in the April 2016 Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway race and was ready to tackle another shorter oval on the schedule. Jones qualified third for the 120-lap event. He initially took the lead on lap 12 from Ty Dillon and then again for a second time on lap 78 to the end. In total, he led 76 laps at Dover to claim his Monster Mile trophy in victory lane.

BESHORE AT DOVER: Crew chief Ben Beshore has been on top of the box for three prior races at Dover in the Cup Series. He earned a best finish of seventh in May 2022 with Kyle Busch who started 10th and led 103 laps of the race. Beshore has been the crew chief for an additional five Xfinity Series races – highlighted by two fifth-place results – August 2020 with Harrison Burton and April 2023 with (John Hunter) Nemechek.

ERIK JONES QUOTE
“Dover has always been a fun track in my career. For me though, it’s been a track where we’ve had some ups and downs. We’ve done well, but we’ve also struggled there a bit as well. That’s kind why it’s been a feast or famine at Dover. With where our cars are right now and our aero package right now, I think our Dover package will be strong. I’m excited to get there. The track always moves around a ton during the race – from the bottom to the top. You have a lot of options there and you can try some different stuff to find a ton of speed if your car isn’t doing exactly what you want. So can’t wait to get there and see how it goes, but I feel good about it.”

BEN BESHORE QUOTE
“Dover is one of those one-off type tracks. It’s a mile which we typically run either shorter or longer tracks, so it’s different being right at a mile. The concrete surface is unique – you can get a lot of tire wear there. You can have a lot of part failures from the high banking and whatnot. So it’s very unique. Throughout the race you might see guys start moving to the top, but that’s one of those risk versus reward situations. You’re making good lap time up there, but you’re also really wearing the tires out. You can make speed for a while but fall off on the backside of a run. The seams in the concrete will build rubber up so it can get bumpy and rough so you’ll have to figure all of that into your set up to have a good car for the race.”

CLUB APPEARANCES:
Nemechek will stop by the Fan Zone and visit various displays on Saturday, July 19 at 11:30 a.m. local time. He will also visit the NASCAR Classics trackside merchandise rig to sign for fans at 11:00 a.m. local time, and the Speedway Children’s Charities Dunk Tank on Sunday, July 20.

TUNE IN:
Fans can tune in to watch the NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m. ET on TNT, MAX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).

Why I Choose Premium Cars for Chauffeur Transportation

I used to think any car service would do. Land, grab my bag, fire up a rideshare app, and go.

Turns out, that only works in theory.

After too many rides in underwhelming vehicles with distracted drivers, zero legroom, and mystery smells, I realized I wasn’t just looking for transportation—I was looking for experience. Especially when travel already takes so much out of you.

Then one day, I booked a private airport transfer through Bookinglane—and chose a BMW 5 Series for the ride.

That one small upgrade? It completely redefined how I think about ground travel.

The Ride That Reframed Everything

It was an early morning flight. I had a long day of meetings ahead, and I didn’t want to start it crammed in the back of a rideshare, fumbling with Bluetooth and bottled water that never showed up.

At 5:00 a.m. sharp, a polished BMW 5 Series pulled into my driveway. The driver stepped out, greeted me by name, loaded my bags like a pro, and opened the door.

Inside, it was everything I didn’t know I was missing—leather seats, soft ambient lighting, spotless cabin, and a level of quiet that made the stress melt away. I opened my laptop, caught up on emails, and arrived at the terminal already in the right headspace for the day.

From that moment on, I knew: I wasn’t going back.

Why I Now Only Ride in Premium Chauffeured Vehicles

There are plenty of ways to get from point A to B—but once you’ve experienced real comfort, precision, and presence, it’s hard to settle for less. Here’s why I now choose BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and S-Class, or a Cadillac Escalade every time I book through Bookinglane:

1. The Right Car Sets the Tone

There’s something about stepping into a Mercedes S-Class that instantly changes your energy. Whether I’m heading to the airport, a meeting, or a dinner event—it’s a confidence boost before I’ve even said a word.

2. Consistent, Elevated Comfort

These aren’t your average sedans. The ride is smooth. The seats are tailored. The climate control is flawless. Whether it’s a BMW 5 or an E-Class, I arrive feeling relaxed—not wrinkled, windblown, or worn out.

3. Work, Recharge, or Just Be

In a luxury car, silence is an actual feature. The cabin’s designed for clarity—whether I’m on a call, deep in Slack, or just closing my eyes for 20 minutes. The Cadillac Escalade especially feels like a rolling office suite.

4. Enough Room for Life

I’ve had rideshares show up in cars that can barely fit my laptop bag. With Bookinglane, I can select the Cadillac Escalade when I’ve got equipment, luggage, or the family with me. It’s spacious, elegant, and designed to handle real life—without sacrificing comfort.

When I Book Premium Chauffeur Cars

  • Early flights, because I want to start focused—not flustered
  • Late-night returns, when all I crave is quiet, dark, and smooth
  • Investor or client meetings, where every impression counts
  • Events, when arriving in an E-Class just feels right
  • Group travel, when the Escalade handles it all effortlessly

And The Price? Surprisingly Reasonable

The biggest surprise? It’s not dramatically more expensive. In fact, Bookinglane’s all-inclusive rates mean no guessing, no surging, and no awkward tipping. Just high-end service at a price that makes sense—especially when time, presence, and peace of mind are part of the equation.

Final Thoughts

The difference between a basic ride and a premium chauffeur experience isn’t just about comfort. It’s about how you show up—calm, focused, and in control.

These days, I don’t just book a car. I book the car I want to be in.

Because whether I’m headed to the airport, a boardroom, or back home, riding in a BMW 5 Series, Mercedes S-Class, or Cadillac Escalade doesn’t just get me there. It sets the tone for everything that follows.

It’s not just transportation. It’s how I move.

Rick Ware Racing penalized for detached wheel

NASCAR revealed the penalty report following this past weekend’s racing events between the Xfinity and Cup Series divisions at Sonoma Raceway between July 12-13.

In the Cup Series, the No. 51 Rick Ware Racing (RWR) Ford Mustang Dark Horse team has been penalized for a loose right-rear wheel that rolled off the entry. This violates Sections 8.8.10.4.A & C of the NASCAR Rule Book (separation of an improperly installed tire/wheel from an entry during an event).

The incident occurred as Cody Ware, driving the No. 51 RWR entry, was slowly navigating through Turns 3 and 3a. The wheel rolled off the entry through the turns with 15 laps remaining. It then bounced off the course and back on the course. It was nearly hit by John Hunter Nemechek before coming to rest near the backstretch chicane’s entrance in Turn 4a.

As a result, Marquill Osborne and De’Quan Hampton from Ware’s No. 51 team have been suspended for the next two Cup Series events. This includes the upcoming weekend at Dover Motor Speedway through next weekend’s event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Ware finished in 34th place of the 37-car field at Sonoma after being assessed a two-lap penalty for the wheel incident. He is currently in 36th place in the 2025 driver standings. Through 20 scheduled events, Ware’s highest on-track result is a 13th-place result that occurred at Atlanta Motor Speedway in late June.

Three Xfinity teams fined for lug nut infractions

Meanwhile, three Xfinity Series teams have been penalized and issued a $5,000 fine for violating Sections 8.8.10.4a of the NASCAR Rule Book at Sonoma. This section pertains to having a lug nut that was not properly installed following Saturday’s event.

The teams penalized include the following:

  • Richard Childress Racing’s (RCR) No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro team.
  • Sam Hunt Racing’s (SHR) No. 26 Toyota Supra team.
  • Alpha Prime Racing’s No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro team.

The No. 21 RCR Chevrolet entry driven by Austin Hill, finished in 12th place. Rookie Dean Thompson steered the No. 26 SHR Toyota entry to an 18th-place result. Brennan Poole piloted the No. 44 Alpha Prime Racing Chevrolet entry to a 22nd-place result. After Sonoma, drivers Hill, Thompson and Poole are third, 15th and 18th, respectively, in the 2025 Xfinity Series driver standings.
