4 REASONS YOU CAN’T MISS THE NHRA 4-WIDE NATIONALS AT ZMAX DRAGWAY

CONCORD, N.C. (April 16, 2026) – There’s nothing quite like the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway and the massive sensory overload is coming quick, with the spectacular spectacle set to take place on April 23-26 at the “Bellagio of Dragstrips.”

An event as wild and unique as this one always makes for a memorable experience for every fan, especially this season during NHRA’s special 75th anniversary season. But just in case you needed a reminder, here are 4 reasons you can’t miss this year’s 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway:

The only 4-wide of the year: It’s the wildest spectacle in motorsports and words don’t do it justice when four nitro-burning machines blast down the dragstrip, showcasing nearly 50,000-horsepower at once while reaching speeds of more than 340 mph. This year, though, April 24-26 is the only chance to see the most unique event in drag racing – and at the birthplace of four-wide racing, zMAX Dragway. It’s the only Charlotte stop during NHRA’s 75th anniversary tour, giving you one opportunity to watch the incredible four-wide experience. Plus, it’s the only chance to see the biggest names of the sport, including racing legend Tony Stewart, who just won in Pomona, Antron Brown, Ron Capps, Erica Enders, Austin Prock, Leah Pruett, local racers Greg Anderson, Dallas Glenn, Matt Hagan, and Matt and Angie Smith, as well as rookie sensation Maddi Gordon and Funny Car newcomer Jordan Vandergriff, and many more. With qualifying on Friday and Saturday, and eliminations on Sunday – all at the only four-wide race of the year – it’s an experience that everyone should enjoy.

“It’s my home track and it’s such a great place,” Hagan said. “This place, it’s always just top-notch. The facilities are great, the fans are great, so we’re really looking forward to it.”

NHRA’s 75th anniversary celebration: The milestone year means plenty of celebrating, honoring drivers and memorable moments. There’s the impressive diamond Wally on the line for all competitors, while fans will get to meet legends like Hagan, Darrell Gwynn and Frank Manzo in Charlotte. Plus, Hagan’s historic run from 2011 at zMAX Dragway, will be celebrated, marking the 15th anniversary of Funny Car’s first 3-second run. To add to the celebration, on Sunday, a free, limited-edition NHRA schedule magnet will be given to the first 5,000 fans in attendance.

Access galore: Of course, every ticket to the 4-Wide Nationals is a pit pass, putting fans right in the thick of the action as they watch teams work on their cars between rounds, meet drivers and experience all off-the-track thrills in store. In Charlotte, that also includes the Dodge Thrill Rides near the pit area, as race fans can experience SIXPACK-powered Charger Scat Pack Dodge Thrill Rides, hopping in for a front-row seat as professional drivers unleash burnouts, donuts and the full power of the new twin-turbo 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack. It’s a heart-pounding experience that sets the mood perfectly for four-wide racing. There’s also the special RevZilla display in Charlotte, which will feature the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and allow fans to learn how to ride a motorcycle from licensed instructors, emphasizing a true hands-on experience.

Right Trailers Outlaw Street debut: Fans will get an amzing opportunity to see the debut of the Right Trailers Outlaw Street Series, which features the biggest names from the famous Street Outlaws franchise, including Shawn Ellington, Ryan Martin, Scott Taylor, Paige Coughlin and Jeff Lutz. The new showcase in 2026 will feature 10 drivers, with three rounds of qualifying and eliminations over the course of the weekend. For fans of the series, it gives them a chance to see their favorite drivers in action, with nearly 50,000-horsepower of nitro coming later as a bonus.

Last season, Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Prock (Funny Car), Glenn (Pro Stock) and Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) won at the famed facility. This season’s race will be broadcast on FS1, with elimination coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 26. It is the fourth of 20 events in 2026, with two rounds of qualifying set for Friday, two rounds on Saturday – as well as the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge – and eliminations on Sunday.

The NHRA 4-Wide Nationals will also feature the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, as well as JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Elite Motorsports and Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown.

NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series qualifying will feature two rounds at 4:15 and 7 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24 and the final two rounds of qualifying on Saturday, April 25 at 12:30 and 3 p.m. Final eliminations are scheduled for 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 26. Television coverage includes qualifying on FS1 at 7 p.m. ET on Friday and 11 a.m. ET on Sunday with eliminations action at 7 p.m. ET to follow.

RPM GROUP PARTNERS WITH NHRA IN EFFORT TO BRING NHRA DRAG RACING BACK TO SOUTH FLORIDA AREA

INDIANAPOLIS (April 16, 2026) – NHRA officials announced today it has entered into a strategic alliance with the RPM Group in an effort to help bring NHRA drag racing back to the South Florida area.

The RPM Group is a premier motorsports and marketing company focused on helping to resurrect racing venues in the South Florida area. Led by an experienced group of automotive professionals and passionate enthusiasts, their goal is for NHRA drag racing to return to facilities across the area.

“We’re extremely excited for the future and working with NHRA to bring top-tier drag racing back to South Florida,” RPM Group Vice President Tim Moceri said. “We are working diligently on several locations and we’re optimistic about that progress. By teaming and aligning with NHRA, it ensures what we are building in South Florida is not experimental – it is proven.

“NHRA is not just a sanctioning body, it is the gold standard of organized drag racing. With 75 years of history, a national footprint and a legacy of delivering world-class events, NHRA brings an unmatched level of structure, credibility and operational excellence to this effort. With the strength and credibility of NHRA alongside our group, we are positioned to deliver something truly impactful.”

The history of motorsports in the South Florida area – from Palm Beach County to Hendry County and more – is extensive.

RPM Group has evaluated several potential locations for tracks and facilities, with each offering the potential for a premier motorsports destination to return to the South Florida area, generating a strong local economic impact in the process.

Along with the RPM Group’s partnership with NHRA, it has also received endorsements from Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, actively engaging with local and state leaders.

“South Florida was home to a thriving motorsports and drag racing community for years, and we believe the demand and culture for the sport has never left,” Moceri said. “But a project of this magnitude cannot be accomplished alone. It requires strong partnerships with local, county and state leadership and the support of our local communities, and that is why our partnership with NHRA is so critical. NHRA understands every detail of what it takes to operate at the highest level, from grassroots racing programs all the way to premier national events.”

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with the RPM Group. It is a group that is filled with passion for NHRA drag racing and they are determined to see it return to the South Florida area,” NHRA Director of Field Operations Rob Park said. “The area has significant potential with a strong fanbase and a reputation as a vibrant motorsports region. We look forward to working with RPM Group, and offering our expertise and rich history to see this project continue to move forward.”

AUSTIN DILLON QUOTE:

How unique is Kansas Speedway compared to some of the other 1.5-mile tracks, and how will you attack the track this weekend?

“Kansas Speedway has its own personality for sure. Even though it’s a mile-and-a-half like some other tracks, the surface has aged a bit, so you get a lot of tire fall-off and have to manage your run. It’s wide, which gives you options—up by the wall or down on the bottom—so you can move around depending on how your car’s handling. This weekend, we’ll focus on getting the balance right early in the run and try to keep the speed over the long haul. If we can do that, I think we’ll be in good shape.”

Kyle Busch and the No. 8 Nicokick x zone Cranberry Chevrolet at Kansas Speedway… Sunday’s 400-mile race will mark Kyle Busch’s 37th career NASCAR Cup Series start at Kansas Speedway. Busch has two wins at the 1.5-mile oval, both earned in the spring in 2016 and, most recently, 2021. The 40-year-old driver has 10 top-five and 16 top-10s, has led 463 laps, has an average starting position of 13.7, an average finishing position of 16.0, and has completed 93.6% (8,696 of 9,584) of the laps he’s contested there.

Twice a Winner at Kansas… Busch scored his first victory at Kansas in 2016, leading 69 laps at the 1.5-mile oval. Busch’s second win was earned in 2021, when the veteran driver claimed his first victory of the season on his birthday (May 2). With that special milestone, the now 63-time Cup Series winner joined NASCAR Hall of Famer Cale Yarborough as just the second driver to win multiple Cup Series races on their birthdays.

Did You Know? Busch has more Cup Series starts at Kansas Speedway (36) than any other active driver. His first start at the Kansas facility was on October 10, 2004, and marked his fourth career race in NASCAR’s premier series.

Success Not Limited to the Cup Series… In addition to his Cup Series success in the Sunflower State, Busch also has four wins in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and three in the NASCAR Truck Series at Kansas Speedway.

Zoning in on zone… zone™, the latest innovation from ITG Brands, is the next generation of nicotine pouches that delivers a superior tobacco-free experience and outperforms competitive products where it matters most. Available in 6mg and 9mg strengths, zone pouches are made with top shelf ingredients and high-quality materials to provide immediate nicotine intensity, longer-lasting flavor, and extra soft comfort. zone’s pouches are carefully crafted and designed to meet the needs of 21+ adult nicotine consumers, providing the best experience from the first pouch to the last.

Coinciding with this weekend’s race in Kansas, zone will introduce a new Cranberry flavor — available exclusively via online retail partner Nicokick.com. To commemorate the launch and the new profile’s refreshing balance of sweetness and tartness, the No. 8 zone car will debut a co-branded paint scheme. Busch will also wear a custom driver suit that features both partners, as well as Cranberry-package inspired artwork.

Meet Busch… On Sunday, April 19 at 9:50 a.m. Local Time, Busch is scheduled to sign autographs at the RCR Merchandise Hauler located in the Fan Midway at Kansas Speedway. Stop by to meet the Las Vegas native and purchase new No. 8 gear.

KYLE BUSCH QUOTE:

What makes Kansas Speedway unique?

“Kansas is a cool track. It’s a mile-and-a-half racetrack that lends itself to two, three and even four-wide racing with progressive banking. You can race anywhere, high or low and set up moves where you slide up in front of a guy and mess up his air. Aerodynamics play a big role with how fast we’re entering the corners, so there’s a lot of reliance on aerodynamic grip. You’ve got to get out front in clean air to get to victory lane.”

Jesse Love and the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet at Kansas Speedway… Jesse Love has made two career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts at Kansas Speedway, both times finishing inside the top-10 (ninth in 2024 and seventh in 2025). During the Menlo Park, California native’s lone NASCAR Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile facility in 2023, he earned a 13th-place result. In addition, the young gun claimed two pole positions and one victory (spring 2023) in two ARCA Menards Series starts.

Cup Experience at Kansas… Last season, Love piloted the No. 33 for Richard Childress Racing at Kansas Speedway, marking his third of five Cup Series starts for the Welcome, North Carolina-based team in 2025. The 21-year-old qualified 32nd and made gains during the race ending with a 29th-place finish.

Consistency Continues… Love’s average finish of 9.8 is fifth best among full time drivers in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Still Streaking… Love currently holds the longest active streak of running at the finish of races, as the defending series champion has 22 straight events without a DNF.

Get to the Points… Love is currently third in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver championship point standings, 146 points behind points leader Justin Allgaier and only 16 points behind second-place Sheldon Creed.

About Whelen Engineering… Whelen Engineering is a family-owned company with a pioneering spirit and a passion to protect the lives of those who protect and serve others. The company mission is to provide industry-defining safety solutions around the world, while creating a community of problem-solvers who are inspired to push boundaries and continue our legacy of delivering ground-breaking innovation. As a global leader in the emergency warning industry, Whelen has been trusted to perform since 1952, when George Whelen III invented the first rotating aviation beacon. Whelen now encompasses two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Connecticut and New Hampshire with over 750,000 square feet of engineering and manufacturing space and the largest design staff in the industry. Every part of every Whelen product is proudly designed and manufactured in America. We embrace quality as our foundation, and we celebrate innovative engineering in every product we produce.

Meet Love… Prior to Saturday’s activities, on Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. Local Time, Love and his RCR teammates Austin Dillon and Austin Hill are scheduled to appear at the Austin Dillon charity pickleball tournament pre-party at KC Trends (13300 Grandview St., Overland Park, Kansas, 66213). On Saturday, April 18 fans will have two opportunities to meet Love at Kansas Speedway. At 2:15 p.m. Local Time, Love is scheduled to participate in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Autograph Session in the infield Fan Walk, and immediately following at 3:15 p.m. Local Time, Love is scheduled to sign autographs at the RCR Merchandise Hauler in the Midway. He will be joined by teammate Hill for both appearances. Stop by to meet Love and purchase new No. 2 gear.

JESSE LOVE QUOTE:

What is your mindset going into this weekend’s race at Kansas Speedway?

“I’m looking forward to Kansas Speedway. Having gone there a few times, we know what it takes to run well. Our intermediate performance has been strong this year, so I’m excited to get back to it.”

Austin Hill and the No. 21 Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet at Kansas Speedway… Austin Hill has made five career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts at Kansas Speedway, earning three top-five and four top-10 results. The Winston, Georgia native secured his best finish of third in last season’s lone event at the Midwest oval. AUSTIN HILL QUOTE:

Why do drivers like racing at Kansas Speedway?

“Kansas Speedway is a low grip track with huge tire off. It’s one of those places that rewards guys that can move around the racetrack and find speed. You might be able to find speed on the bottom, in the middle, all the way at the top, or anywhere in between. The track is very versatile. Depending on your driving style and how you want to attack the track, there are a lot of variations on how you can run fast laps there. Not to mention the restarts are crazy, where you’ll see four or five-wide action. Our No. 21 team has had success there in the past, so hopefully that continues again this week.”

Wood Brothers Racing – Race Week Briefing: Kansas Speedway

Event: AdventHealth 400
Date/Time: Sunday, April 19, 2026, 2 p.m. ET
Location: Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, Kansas
Layout: 1.5-Mile Oval
TV/Radio: FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio

Josh Berry and the No. 21 DEX team head to Kansas Speedway this weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series returns to intermediate-track racing for Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 after back-to-back races on short tracks.

A key point of focus leading into the race has been the team’s performance on intermediate tracks, following a recent Goodyear tire test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that provided valuable insight.

Berry said the test offered a productive opportunity to better understand the No. 21 Ford Mustang Dark Horse on 1.5-mile tracks like Las Vegas, Kansas, Texas and others.

“I feel like that’s an area that we’ve been working hard at,” Berry said. “We struggled at Vegas the last couple of times we’ve gone back there since we won, so being able to stay and do that tire test was really helpful.

“I thought it went really well, and we learned a lot. We got some answers to questions we had, so now it’s about applying that over these next few weeks and continuing to build on it. I’m excited for both Kansas and Texas.”

While the Wood Brothers are still searching for their first Cup Series win at Kansas, the organization has shown speed at the 1.5-mile oval over the years. The team’s best finish at the track came in 2004, when Ricky Rudd scored a runner-up result. Overall, Wood Brothers Racing has recorded five top-five and 10 top-10 finishes in 32 starts at Kansas, including Berry’s sixth-place run in this event last season. The team also owns one pole at the track, earned by Ryan Blaney in 2017.

On-track activity begins Saturday with practice at 4 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 5:10 p.m. ET. Coverage will be available on Prime Video.

Sunday’s 267-lap, 400.5-mile race is scheduled to take the green flag just after 2 p.m. ET, with television coverage on FOX. Stage breaks are set for Laps 80 and 165.

Saturday, April 18

Josh Berry will sign autographs at the Team Penske/Wood Brothers merchandise unit in the fan zone at Kansas Speedway beginning at 12:45 p.m. local time. 100 wristbands will be distributed on a first come, first-served basis.

TPC Racing’s Shaun McKaigue Scores Career-Best USAC Porsche Sprint GT3 Cup Finish at Sonoma

Third-Season Type 992 Porsche Competitor Secures Near Top-Five Finish Friday in the No. 234 TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

SONOMA, California (April 16, 2026) – TPC Racing driver Shaun McKaigue delivered the finest result of his current Porsche GT3 Cup racing career last weekend in California, finishing sixth in the Masters class in his No. 234 TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the USAC Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama race weekend at Sonoma Raceway.

McKaigue’s career-best finish in a current generation Type 992 Porsche GT3 came in his third season of select Sprint Challenge races in the top-tier Porsche GT3 Cup category with TPC Racing. He bested his previous high-water mark of 10th place, set last year at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

The strong in-class showing in the weekend’s opening race on Friday saw a similarly solid 11th place overall finish for McKaigue in the competitive Porsche Sprint Challenge field, which also features typically quicker competitors in the Pro-Am division.

By comparison, McKaigue’s best finish in his most recent previous Porsche Sprint Challenge race in March at the season-opening weekend in Sebring was 11th in the Masters class. His lead-lap Sebring finish just shy of the class top-10 also saw McKaigue finish 19th overall in the packed Porsche Sprint Challenge field.

McKaigue’s next Porsche Sprint Challenge race weekend with TPC Racing will be the doubleheader at VIRginia International Raceway, June 19 – 21.

Meanwhile, next up for TPC Racing in USAC road racing series action is May 7 – 9 at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Texas. The team’s Porsche Sprint Challenge hopes at COTA ride with veteran team driver Tom Kerr, who will be back in the series for his third race weekend of the year in his No. 74 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

The TPC Racing Mustang Cup America team will also be back in action at COTA with Cliff Elliott and Harris Levitas set for the weekend with TPC Racing’s pair of Mustang Dark Horse R entries. Elliott drives the No. 65 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Ford Mustang Dark Horse R while Levitas competes in the No. 36 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Mustang Dark Horse R.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “The TPC Racing team did a great job all weekend in tricky conditions. Shaun’s progression has been rewarding and even fun to watch. He’s put in the time between events and on race weekends works non-stop with the TPC Racing team and his coach and co-driver LP Dumoulin. We’re seeing all of that effort and focus translate directly into on-track results. Finishing sixth in a more competitive Masters field this year in just his second race of the season is certainly something to build on in our next race together in Virginia.”

Shaun McKaigue, Driver – No. 234 TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup: “We had some great weather for the first couple of days, which really gave an opportunity to get right into some good times on the track. It was wonderful and the guys from TPC gave us a great car right out of the box, so we didn’t have to chase the setup at all. That was really nice and really helps us to get to where we want to be and just learn the track some more. Then the weekend ended up with a lot of rain and different and changing conditions. It certainly made it interesting and exciting. We had some great results, and were really happy with where we placed in the first race. We also did the Porsche Endurance Challenge race and it was great. We had a lot fun, and I drove again with LP Dumoulin. It was wet weather conditions again and completely changing and I ended up out there on rain tires on a drying track, which is always challenging. It was a fun weekend, and I think all of the competitors, considering the conditions, did very, very well.”

TPC Racing specializes in R&D and sales of high-performance modifications for Porsche sports cars and race cars, offering a wide range of vehicle upgrades.
