Richard Childress Racing and Alsco Uniforms Celebrate Fifth Year of Partnership in 2021

Official RCR Uniform Provider to Serve as Primary Partner for Multiple Events on RCR’s No. 8 & No. 2 Entries

WELCOME, N.C. (March 15, 2021) – Richard Childress Racing (RCR) and Alsco Uniforms, the uniform industry’s best kept secret, are continuing their partnership together in 2021. The 2021 season, which marks the fifth year of partnership between the two family-owned businesses, will see Alsco serve as a primary partner on Tyler Reddick’s No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for multiple races in the NASCAR Cup Series, starting with this weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Alsco Uniforms will also be featured as a primary partner on RCR’s No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro piloted by Myatt Snider in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, as well as a full-season associate partner on both entries.

Alsco serves as the official uniform provider of RCR and has been instrumental in helping the race team navigate the COVID-19 pandemic this past year with a full suite of hand soap, sanitizer, first aid kits and cleaning products. The partnership has also found victory lane on the track over the past couple of years, with Reddick winning the 2019 Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“RCR is a model for success both at and away from the racetrack,” said Ben Fox, Director of Sales and Marketing at Alsco Uniforms. “We’re thrilled to continue to showcase our Uniforms rental service, alongside our variety of products, through our partnership with the team.”

Reddick, a two-time Xfinity Series champion, is currently in his sophomore season in the Cup Series driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE. So far this season, Reddick has already matched his career best finish in the Cup Series by finishing second last month at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Reddick collected a total of three top-five and nine top-10 finishes during his rookie campaign in 2020.

Snider, who drove for RCR part-time in the Xfinity Series last year, has had a great start to the 2021 season, as he captured his first national touring series career win in February at Homestead-Miami Speedway. During last year’s limited starts with the team, Snider impressed with one pole award, two top-five and six top-10 finishes.

“Everyone at RCR is proud to be continuing our relationship with Alsco Uniforms during the 2021 season,” said Torrey Galida, President of Richard Childress Racing. “Our partnership has grown over the years but maintains the same core values that brought our two organizations together in the beginning, all while still continuing to outfit our crew in Alsco Uniforms. We’re looking forward to continuing to create more business opportunities and great memories with Alsco for many years to come.”

Spire Motorsports, NFL Alumni Partner to Support Folds of Honor Children’s Fund

CONCORD, N.C. (March 15, 2021) – Spire Motorsports announced today that it will partner with the NFL Alumni Association (NFLA) to support the Folds of Honor Children’s Fund for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Corey LaJoie’s No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE will feature a patriotic red, white and blue paint scheme and will showcase the NFL Alumni Association logo on the hood, decklid, TV panel and in front of the rear wheels. Meanwhile, Folds of Honor will be displayed on the upper-rear quarter panels and on the decklid of LaJoie’s machine.

The NFL Alumni Association was founded in 1967 and is the oldest and most recognizable national organization of retired professional athletes. NFL Alumni consists of former NFL players, coaches, executives, spouses, cheerleaders, and associate members. Part of NFL Alumni’s dual mission is “Caring for Kids”. Player alumni give back in their local communities by raising funds for youth-related charities through their 38 regional chapters. It is a tradition that has existed for more than 50 years. Alumni support typically raises more than $1.5 million, annually, for worthwhile causes.

The other half of NFLA’s mission, “Caring for our Own” is to serve, assist and inform its members and their families. Alumni members are offered a diverse package of wellness, business, career, and legal services to help members and their families be healthy, productive, and connected to one another.

“We want to thank T.J. Puchyr, Jeff Dickerson, Corey LaJoie and the entire Spire Motorsports team for partnering with us to help support Folds of Honor’s mission to provide scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members,” said NFL Alumni Association’s Chief Executive Officer Beasley Reece. “This is a cause that aligns perfectly with our mission of Caring for Kids and we are honored to help improve the lives of those children. Please make sure you go to NFLalumni.org/foh to help us in this mission.”

Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States armed forces. Folds of Honor educational scholarships support private education tuition and tutoring for children in grades K-12, as well as higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents.

Founded in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, a PGA member and F-16 fighter pilot currently stationed at Tyndall AFB Florida as a member of 301st Fighter Squadron who served three tours of duty in Iraq, Folds of Honor is proud to have awarded more than 29,000 scholarships in all 50 states, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, including more than 4,500 in 2020 alone.

“When we were approached about flying the colors of Folds of Honor on the No. 7 Spire Motorsports NASCAR entry at Atlanta Motor Speedway, we were blown away that two great organizations such as the NFL Alumni and Spire Motorsports would go to such great lengths to help us raise money for our scholarship fund,” explained Ben Leslie, Executive Vice President of Folds of Honor. “On behalf of the recipients of our scholarships, thank you!”

LaJoie is a third-generation racer whose father and grandfather are members of the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He kicked off the 2021 season with a spirited ninth-place effort at the Daytona 500. The Concord, N.C. driver is currently 29th in the NCS point standings heading into the sixth race of the year.

His passion for charitable work has raised over $240,000 for the Christian organization SamaritansFeet.org. In 2019, he hand-wrote the names of each donor onto his car and attended driver introductions at Watkins Glen International with bare feet, underscoring the need to provide shoes to less fortunate individuals all over the world. He was acknowledged for his efforts by being recognized with the 2019 National Motorsports Press Association (NMPA) distinguished Spirit Award.

“It’s always exciting to support a great cause like the Folds of Honor on our race car,” offered LaJoie. “NFL Alumni does incredible work within their community and to see that organization integrate the Folds of Honor to support scholarship opportunities for veterans and their families is incredibly admirable. I’m proud to represent both organizations in the Quik Trip Folds of Honor 500.”

“When we were presented with the opportunity to partner with NFL Alumni to support the Folds of Honor Children’s Fund, we jumped at it,” added Dickerson. “Both current and former players have a proud tradition of supporting veterans and making a positive impact in their communities. At the same time, Corey has made it a priority to be involved with charitable causes that truly make a difference. We think this program goes hand-in-hand with both Corey’s passion to help others and the NFL Alumni’s mission of ‘Caring for Kids.’”

Spire Motorsports worked in cooperation with WaV Sports Agency from conceptualization to execution in bringing the program from the drawing board to the famed 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway.

“WaV Sports is honored to have played a small part in aligning all of the parties involved to support such a worthy cause,” said WaV Sports Agency CEO Brain Klaasmeyer. “Thank you to T.J. Puchyr, Jeff Dickerson, Corey LaJoie and the entire Spire Motorsports team as well as Beasley Reece, Bart Oates and the NFL Alumni for making this happen. Most importantly thank you to the entire Folds of Honor team for carrying out this mission every day.”

The Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway will be televised live on FOX Sunday, March 21 beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). The sixth of 36 races on the 2021 NCS schedule will be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

Despite Challenges, Bridget Finds Personal Success at Phoenix

TOOELE, UT, March 15, 2021 – Bridget Burgess and her team BMI Racing rolled into Phoenix on Friday for the first round of the ARCA Menards Series West race. This race was a combined race with the ARCA Menards Series with a stacked field of 30 cars.

The goal for the weekend was to finish the race and to continue to gain experience in a new car.

The day started of with a hour practice, which provided the opportunity for Bridget to get accustomed to her new HMH Construction Chevrolet. Even though Bridget was able to do a shake down at her home base at Utah Motorsports Campus, the practice session allowed Bridget the opportunity to really see what the car was capable of doing on the 1 mile oval.

Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in and it started to rain 10 minutes before qualifying was set to start. Qualifying ultimately was cancelled and the field was set by practice times with Bridget and the HMH Construction Chevrolet starting in 24th.

The green flag finally dropped after a 25 minute delay for the rain and track drying, and the 30 car field accelerated past the start/finish line. Bridget had a solid start but just as soon as the race started, the caution flag waived for and accident in turn one. Bridget avoided the wreck and provided the update that the car felt good and got ready for the restart.

As Bridget was nearing the half way point she lost fuel pressure and needed a push back to her pit box. The team finished up pushing the car behind pit wall to try and identify and solve the issue. The diagnosis being a fuel pick up problem and with the help of others, the team managed to get the HMH Construction Chevrolet fired up and back on track.

Bridget got back on track 32 laps down from the leaders, and with little chance of improving her overall position, Bridget and her spotter worked together on improving her race lines, passing and racecraft. Bridget and the HMH Construction Chevrolet finished the race in 22nd place.

Bridget is powered by these great companies: HMH Construction, GEARWRENCH, Rugged Radios, Cometic Gasket, Ferrea Racing Components, FK Rod Ends, Fragola Performance Systems, GC Cooling Fan, GT Radial, Hawk Performance, Impact Race Products, K&N Filters, Konig, Miller Electric, ProAm, PSC Motorsports, Sunoco Race Fuel, Tilton, XS Power

Buescher Fights Back for 18th-place Finish at Phoenix

AVONDALE, Ariz. (March 14, 2021) – After battling the handling on his race car all day, Chris Buescher and the No. 17 Roush Performance Ford team worked their way up to an 18th place finish at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday Afternoon.

Buescher rolled off the grid 17th but began to lose positions in the early laps with reports of an extremely tight Ford Mustang. The team pitted with the competition caution at lap 32 for fuel, four tires, air pressure and track bar adjustment. The driver restarted 21st on the bottom lane and was moving forward when he narrowly avoided a wreck at lap 46. The team stayed out under the caution to gain track position and restart 14th. By lap 64, he was shuffled back to 28th and ultimately finished stage one in 29th.

At the stage break, Buescher reported that his Ford Mustang was still very tight and the team took four tires, and fuel while making another track bar change and air pressure adjustment. The driver restarted 23rd on the bottom line and held track position until another caution came out at lap 89. The team pitted for four tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment. After restarting 26th, Buescher worked his way up to 20th despite a series of cautions. However, handling continued to hamper the Ford and with 13 to go in the stage Buescher lost a lap and finished the stage 24th.

The No. 17 team went to work for the final stage in Phoenix with adjustments to fix a vibration and tight handling Ford. After restarting 24th, the Prosper, Texas native toggled between 23rd to 26th, eventually losing a second lap to the leaders. At lap 261, the team stayed out with a caution to take a wave around and gain a lap back. After restarting 25th, Buescher held position until a late race caution at lap 281 enabled the team to be back on the lead lap. The team made one final pit stop for fuel, tires and an air pressure adjustment to restart 22nd. With a little less than 30 to go, Buescher made the most of the last laps of the race, gaining four spots to take the checkered flag 18th.

The No. 17 team returns to the track next Sunday, March 21 at Atlanta Motor Speedway at 3 p.m. EST on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM Channel 90.

Newman Finishes 28th in Phoenix

AVONDALE, Ariz. (March 14, 2021) – After sustaining damage midway through Sunday afternoon’s race, Ryan Newman finished 28th at Phoenix Raceway in the Guaranteed Rate Ford.

After rolling off the grid 19th for his 37th Cup start at the 1-mile track, Newman finished in the same spot to close out stage one, a segment that featured two yellow flags to open the 312-lap race. Restarting 16th for the second stage, Newman was poised to make a run before contact with the wall halted his progress.

The damage was an issue for the remainder of the afternoon for Newman, who finished the second stage in 30th, two laps off the pace. From there, he fought to work his way back on the lead lap and did so with a pair of late yellows, but ultimately finished one lap off the pace.

Newman and the No. 6 team return to action next weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Sunday afternoon’s race is set for 3 p.m. ET on FOX. Coverage can also be heard on PRN and SiriusXM Channel 90.

Alfredo Frustrated to Be Wrecked and McDowell Gains Positions Late

A Recap of the Weekend Past

For the second consecutive weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series raced on the west coast. Teams competed for the first time this season at the Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway. It was the fourth race of the season and featured the fourth different winner.

Sunday, it was Martin Truex Jr. joining Front Row Motorsports (FRM) driver Michael McDowell on the winner’s list in 2021. He passed Joey Logano who finished second. Denny Hamlin finished third and was followed by Brad Keselowski and Chase Elliott. The race was televised live nationally on FOX.

McDowell, in his homecoming race as the Daytona 500 Champion, finished 23rd and Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, Anthony Alfredo had a 37th-place result after being wrecked early in the race.

After spending all week in his hometown celebrating his Daytona 500 win with family and friends, McDowell went back to work on Sunday. He and the No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops team were back doing what they do best- overcoming adversity to come home with a 23rd-place finish.

McDowell was strong early in Sunday’s 312-race. He started 16th, and was 17th after running as high as 15th in the opening laps before a Competition Caution on Lap 30. McDowell said the car was tight and crew chief Drew Blickensderfer wanted to use Stage 1 to work on the Love’s Travel Stops Mustang. McDowell ended the Stage 21st.

Blickensderfer, the engineers, team and pit crew continued to make adjustments during the second Stage. McDowell raced hard as the track continued to change. McDowell slid back, but the team was getting the car better for the final Stage. The team was 26th at the end of Stage 2 and more adjustments were made to get McDowell more grip.

McDowell did a long fuel run in the final stage and it paid off for him when a caution came out allowing him to pit under the yellow. The Love’s Travel Stops team was up to 23rd, back on the Lead Lap and poised to gain more positions and points.

NASCAR called McDowell for a pit road speeding penalty late in the race. That forced the No. 34 team to start in the back of the pack in the closing laps. McDowell had his best driving performance as the race came to a close and rebounded back to 23rd.

McDowell and the team are fifth in the NASCAR Playoff standings.

MICHAEL MCDOWELL. NO. 34 LOVE’S TRAVEL STOPS FORD MUSTANG. FINISHED 23
“This team fights. We worked on the car all race. We never stopped trying to find that speed. Drew made a good call on strategy and that gained us a lot of positions and track position. We had to overcome the penalty late, but we got back to where we were.

“We go to Atlanta, a huge weekend for us and Fr8 Auctions. So, we study this race and get focused on Atlanta.”

Alfredo had his race come to abrupt end after being wrecked after only 87 laps in Sunday’s race. Alfredo was spun from behind and then pushed into the wall. The damage was severe to the No. 38 MDS Trucking Ford- ending the team’s race.

Alfredo was working hard after sustaining damage during Stage 1. Alfredo knew that the car was affected by the damage, but was making competitive laps and wanted to make the most of the day with the team.

They were never given the chance.

ANTHONY ALFREDO. NO. 38 MDS TRUCKING FORD MUSTANG. FINISHED 37
“It’s disappointing to get destroyed like that for no reason. We had damage and we were just trying to make the best of our day. We had a long way to go in the race. It’s hard to get taken out like that. I feel bad for our team and our partners. We will get ready for Atlanta.”

DiBenedetto Finishes 14th at Phoenix

The climb back from a disappointing start to the 2021 Cup Series season for Matt DiBenedetto and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team continued on Sunday with a 14th place finish in the Instacart 500 at Phoenix Raceway.

DiBenedetto’s finish, plus a Stage point earned for a 10th place finish in the first Stage, allowed him to continue his methodical climb in the points standings. He heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway 28th in the standings, a gain of seven spots in the past two races. Now, he’s just 24 points behind 20th place Cole Custer.

DiBenedetto was set to start 20th at Phoenix, but moved up three rows for the green flag after drivers ahead of him were sent to the rear for rules infractions.

He moved to 10th place after just 12 laps and stayed inside the top 10 for most of the first Stage before ending that 80-lap segment in 10th place.

The second Stage saw DiBenedetto and the Motorcraft Mustang fall just outside the top 10, but still finish 12th at the end of that segment.

The team continued to deal with handling issues at the start of the final segment, with DiBenedetto reporting that the car was tight in the centers of the corners, and free on the entry and exit.

Crew chief Greg Erwin and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane crew were able to adjust the car, correcting some of the issues. After running outside the top 20 in the early laps of the third Stage, DiBenedetto began to regain lost positions. A final pit stop with 25 laps remaining provided one last opportunity for adjustments, and he was able to move from 17th position at the start of that run to 14th at the finish.

It was his best finish of the five races to date.

“We just couldn’t get our Motorcraft/Quick Lane Mustang to where we needed it,” DiBenedetto said. “It wasn’t quite as good as it was here last fall. We weren’t bad, but we weren’t great.

“We had one run at the start of the last Stage that kind of set us back, and we couldn’t quite recover from it.

“Earlier we’d run between eighth and 11th so if we’d had better track position at the end we probably could have finished a few spots better than 14th.

“We’ll take what we got and move on to the next one.”

Eddie Wood said he likes seeing his team make progress, even if the finishes aren’t what he believes the team is capable of.

“We weren’t blazing fast, but we weren’t terrible either,” he said. “We have some work to do, but if we can keep clicking off top-15 finishes, it’s a good thing.”

The 2021 Cup Series campaign continues with next Sunday’s Folds of Honor/QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Return to Le Mans Highlights Corvette Racing’s FIA WEC Program

· Corvette C8.R set to make first appearances in Europe
· Full-time Corvette Racing roster set for Le Mans campaign
· Garcia, Gavin to drive C8.R in opening WEC round at Spa
· Future racing opportunities under consideration with Corvette C8.R

DETROIT (March 15, 2021) – Corvette Racing will return to competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship this year, culminating with the program’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Fresh off a victory in the Rolex 24 At Daytona in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Corvette Racing is set to campaign two of its mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette C8.Rs in the GTE Pro category at Le Mans on June 12-13. It will mark the team’s 21st appearance in the French endurance classic. Its string of 20 consecutive trips to Le Mans was interrupted last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Corvette Racing is steeped in Le Mans lore with eight class victories since its first start there in 2000. The last victory came in 2015.

Rolex 24 winners Antonio Garcia, Jordan Taylor and Nicky Catsburg will look to add another 24-hour victory as they share the No. 63 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C8.R. In the No. 64 Corvette, the trio of Tommy Milner, Nick Tandy and Alexander Sims seek their first 24-hour victory together after a runner-up finish at Daytona.

The six drivers sport multiple starts at Le Mans, and the group has combined for 43 appearances and seven victories – Garcia has three, Milner two, and Taylor and Tandy with one each. Catsburg and Sims each will make their third Le Mans starts.

Taking on Spa-Francorchamps
To help in preparation for the 2021 race, Corvette Racing will enter a single C8.R in the season-opening WEC round: the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Garcia and team veteran Oliver Gavin will drive the No. 63 C8.R at the Belgian circuit – the first time they have shared a car in their Corvette Racing careers.

Competing at Spa will provide the Corvette Racing team a bit of a refresher on specific rules and strategy methods that are unique to FIA WEC races. Pit stop operations and safety car procedures are among the biggest differences in IMSA and WEC competitions.

It will be Garcia’s second start in FIA WEC competition outside of Le Mans. He drove the 1,000 Miles of Sebring in 2019 in a Corvette C7.R and was the fastest driver in GTE Pro qualifying. Gavin will make his third non-Le Mans start in the WEC, the most recent coming at Shanghai in 2018 as part of the lineup for the special Redline Edition Corvette C7.R with long-time teammate Milner.

Gavin is Corvette Racing’s all-time leader in starts (202), wins (51), pole positions (25), Le Mans wins (five) and IMSA championships (five). This will mark his first start in a No. 63 Corvette Racing entry since Le Mans in 2002.

Eyeing Future at Le Mans and in North America
The current GTE regulations allow for the Corvette C8.R to continue competing against other manufacturers in the World Endurance Championship. In addition to its 2021 European races, Chevrolet and Corvette Racing look forward to continuing in future years at Le Mans and in select WEC rounds.

Chevrolet also continues to explore expansion into GT3 with the Corvette platform. For 2022, Chevrolet and Corvette Racing continue to monitor developments in the new GTD Pro category of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. While work on technical and sporting regulations continues, Chevrolet and Corvette Racing leadership remain engaged with the sanctioning body.

Corvette Racing’s next event is the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring from Sebring (Fla.) International Raceway on Saturday, March 20.
ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 63 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Not going to Le Mans last year was something we really missed. Going back there this year is something we all want. Obviously it’s one of the biggest races of the year. Missing it last year was hard, tough and very unusual for Corvette Racing. Going back now, we are looking forward to it. We’ve already won a 24-hour race, which gives us a lot of confidence. I do feel like we will be much more prepared with the C8.R this year than we would have been last year. I’m hoping we are as competitive at Le Mans as we were in Daytona.”
WEC RETURN: “When I learned Corvette Racing was adding WEC races, I was really keen to do it. First of all, to be in a works Corvette with Olly was a cool idea that we could finally do. It came together quickly and I’m thankful to be able to do it. Now we aren’t just sharing runs or rental cars; now we are sharing a race car.”

JORDAN TAYLOR, NO. 63 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Winning at Daytona is a huge confidence booster for everyone at Corvette Racing heading to Le Mans. It’s a huge testament to everyone at Corvette Racing for the development over the last year once the car was running to get it in the position it is now. Looking forward to Le Mans, it gives us a lot confidence knowing what we have a strong car that is proven over 24 hours of racing flat-out. We need to figure out setup-wise what will make us competitive and fast there. From a reliability and durability point of view, we have a lot of faith in the C8.R.”

NICKY CATSBURG, NO. 63 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Going back to Le Mans with Corvette Racing is obviously another milestone. It’s something I’m very much looking forward to. Missing out on Le Mans last year was unfortunate. I’m just looking forward to being back at this event again, and hopefully we can continue what we started in Daytona. Winning a 24-hour race must be good preparation for another 24-hour race. But Le Mans is a very different challenge and a very different track. We have a very strong team and combination of drivers to have a strong performance. I can’t wait to try and add this 24-hour race to my list of 24-hour races that I’ve won. Le Mans cannot come early enough.”

OLIVER GAVIN, NO. 63 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “It’s exciting for me to get back and work again with everyone at Corvette Racing. And I get to drive with Antonio for the very first time as my Corvette Racing teammate! We’ve been teammates inside the team for so many years, traveling so much together and sharing houses at Sebring, Daytona and many other places. For us to be able to go and race together in Europe will be very special. The C8.R is in a great spot. The team has worked very hard on the car during the winter, and looking at how fast the car was at Daytona and how the team performed, you have to say we are going to these races optimistic of having a fantastic result.”

TOMMY MILNER, NO. 64 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Last year, for many reasons, was a bummer. With all the things happening around the world, there was no surprise that some tough decisions that had to be made, and one of those was not being able to take the C8.R to Le Mans. That’s always a highlight of the year for the team, and I think we were all very excited about the prospects of the new Corvette at Le Mans. It’s a huge goal for everyone on the team, and the designed goal for the car was to be as good as it can be at Le Mans. We’re hopeful that things are trending in the right direction and that we have an opportunity to go back. Hopefully it goes right for us and that we can take a now-proven C8.R to Le Mans.”

NICK TANDY, NO. 64 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Le Mans obviously is the biggest race in our sport. It was a big reason why the Corvette Racing program is such an attractive one for people within the team. Going back to GTE at Le Mans will be familiar ground. I’m looking forward to going back with this program and having a real go at it. I’ve won it before in LMP1 but I have yet to win in the GT ranks. It’s definitely high on the list of accomplishments that myself and the team want to accomplish.”

ALEXANDER SIMS, NO. 64 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Now that Corvette Racing has won the Rolex 24, Le Mans is the other big one for the year. From my point of view, it gives me a great feeling having done a 24-hour race with the team, seeing the level at which the team operates and how good the Corvette C8.R was through the day, through the night and even in the rainy conditions during the Roar. I’m extremely excited about Le Mans. It’s the biggest global endurance race, and to go with there with Corvette Racing and the first time with the C8.R is a huge occasion and a great privilege. Having experienced the C8.R at Daytona and seen its strengths, which are many, it should go well around Le Mans.”
