Ford Performance NASCAR: Logano Going For Phoenix Repeat

FORD PERFORMANCE NASCAR: PHOENIX NOTES

This weekend will see Ford teams in the NASCAR Cup and NASCAR XFINITY Series head to Phoenix Raceway, where Joey Logano and Austin Cindric posted victories last season. Logano is the defending Cup winner for Sunday’s scheduled Instacart 500 while Cindric’s last visit to the track saw him lift the championship trophy after winning the NXS season finale.

This Week’s Schedule:

Saturday, March 13 – NASCAR XFINITY Series, 5:30 p.m. (FS1)
Sunday, March 14 – NASCAR Cup Series, 3:30 p.m. (FOX)
FORD IN THE NASCAR CUP SERIES AT PHOENIX

· Ford has 17 series wins at Phoenix Raceway.
· Alan Kulwicki won the first series race at Phoenix Raceway in 1988.
· Current Ford drivers Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano and Ryan Newman have series wins.

FORD IN THE NASCAR XFINITY SERIES AT PHOENIX

· Ford leads all manufacturers with 14 series wins at Phoenix Raceway.
· Jack Roush is second for most owner wins in the series with eight.
· Austin Cindric won the race and series championship at the track in November.

HARVICK HOLDS PHOENIX RECORD

Kevin Harvick holds the record with nine career NASCAR Cup Series wins at Phoenix Raceway with his latest coming in 2018. That’s the most victories for Harvick on any track currently on the NASCAR schedule. Michigan International Speedway ranks second on his personal list for career wins with five while New Hampshire Motor Speedway is third with four. In addition, Harvick goes into Sunday’s scheduled race having posted 15 consecutive top-10 finishes. The streak started in 2013 when he won the next-to-last race of the season, igniting a six-race stretch that saw him win five times, including four straight, and finish second once.

LOGANO HOPING TO DEFEND 2020 PHOENIX WIN

Joey Logano will be looking for his second straight win at Phoenix Raceway in the spring race after he outlasted fellow Ford driver Kevin Harvick in overtime last season. Taking the inside lane, Logano was able to get a good jump on the restart to get in front of Harvick coming off turn two and was able to maintain a car length distance the rest of the way. Logano led 60 laps, including the final 24, as he registered his second career Cup win at the one-mile track. Ford dominated the race, leading 210 of the 316 laps, which also featured 12 cautions.

TEAM PENSKE TOP TENS TOGETHER

Sunday’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway saw the Team Penske trio of Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano all post top 10 finishes. Keselowski led the way with a second place run while Blaney was fifth and Logano ninth. That marked the first time this season all three drivers have finished in the top 10 and the 27th time since the organization became a three-team unit in 2018 (112 combined starts). That means all three Team Penske Mustangs have finished in the top 10 of the same race 24.1 percent of the time.

EDWARDS ENDS DROUGHT

When Ford went to victory lane at Phoenix in the second race of 2013, it snapped a 70-race winless drought for Carl Edwards, whose previous victory came in Las Vegas in 2011. Edwards led 122 of 312 laps, including the final 78, to win the, but there were anxious moments, particularly at the end when a green-white-checker finish had most of the leaders wondering if they had enough gas in the tank to reach the end. Edwards did and managed to beat Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the finish line.

BUSCH WINS DEBUT NIGHT RACE

Kurt Busch made Phoenix Raceway history when he drove his No. 97 Irwin/Sharpie Ford Taurus to victory in the first NCS night race held at the track on Apr. 23, 2005. Busch dominated from the start as he led 132 of the first 133 laps, and while others like Brian Vickers and Michael Waltrip led multiple laps at different stages of the event, it was Busch who proved to be too strong down the stretch. He passed Waltrip with 44 laps to go and was never threatened again as he won by 2.315 seconds. Busch led 219 of the 312 laps as Phoenix hosted the first of two annual Cup dates each season for the first time.

KULWICKI WINS FIRST CUP RACE IN PHOENIX OPENER

Alan Kulwicki, driving the No. 7 Zerex Ford, won his first NASCAR Cup Series race in the debut event at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 6, 1988. Kulwicki, who celebrated by taking a Polish Victory Lap for which he is still remembered for today, passed leader Ricky Rudd with 16 laps to go and ended up taking the checkered flag in his 85th start by 18 seconds over runner-up Terry Labonte. Fellow Ford drivers Davey Allison and Bill Elliott finished third and fourth, respectively. Kulwicki, who ended up leading four times for 41 laps in taking the next-to-last event of the season, went on to win four more Cup races during his career.

WALLACE RAINS IN 1998

Rusty Wallace had only three more chances to keep his streak of winning at least one race a season alive when he rolled into Phoenix Raceway in 1998. He had gone to victory lane in each of the previous 12 seasons and didn’t want to see it come to an end, so that’s why what he did on Oct. 25 was so impressive. Wallace, who started sixth, made a beeline to the front and pretty much stayed there all afternoon until rain came and halted the race after 257 laps. The event was eventually called, marking the first rain-shortened race in the track’s NASCAR history, but there was no doubt Wallace deserved the win. He led 196 of the 257 laps, including the final 73. Wallace’s streak eventually reached 16 seasons before it was snapped in 2002.

Larson’s Vegas win isn’t a form of revenge – it’s a redemption story

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MARCH 07: Kyle Larson, driver of the #5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet, celebrates after winning the NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 07, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Brian Lawdermilk/Getty Images)

It’s unanimously agreed that 2020 was a dumpster fire the world over, and NASCAR was not exempt from that assessment. There weren’t any cars on track for a while in the spring, and hardly any fans were able to attend the races. On top of that, there were off-track issues as well – notably the unfortunate instance when Kyle Larson’s utterance of an derogatory racial term cost him his job, his sponsors, and any hope of racing for the 2020 championship.

Not long after, when the world devolved into chaos following George Floyd’s murder, it looked like any immediate hope of Larson returning to a stock car was going to have to wait. So Larson instead took to the dirt, winning several sprint car races and taking some time away from the NASCAR world. However, at the same time, Larson also completed sensitivity training on the way to being reinstated, which he was six months later before signing on with Hendrick Motorsports to drive for their No. 5 team.

While this was going on, the NASCAR world witnessed the rise of one of the drivers as a strong voice in the NASCAR garage – Bubba Wallace. As the only full-time black NASCAR Cup Series driver, Wallace’s words became some of the most profound in the NASCAR community, especially following Floyd’s death, as well as the murders of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. His words became so profound that when they led to NASCAR’s forced removal of the Confederate Flag, he and NASCAR were praised by many across the world.

When a noose was found in his garage area at Talladega over the summer, many believed it was an act of retaliation due to Wallace’s actions. However, when the matter of the noose turned out to be nothing more than a serious coincidence, several detractors sneered and jeered at him, accusing him of “playing a race card” even though cities were in fact burning due to racial violence.

Several of those detractors even went as far as assuming (and asserting) that there were issues between Larson (again, who used a seriously insensitive racial epithet out of ignorance and lost his ride as a result) and Wallace (who became a much needed social activist in NASCAR). This was in spite of the fact that when Larson said what he said, Wallace was one of the first people to talk to him and to come to his defense.

So sure were Wallace’s detractors that Larson was acting on a misplaced matter of revenge, that they either didn’t realize or weren’t paying attention to what Larson was doing away from the track – educating himself on matters of social injustice, so much so that when his sensitivity training ended he continued to visit areas such as the Urban Youth Racing School, volunteering at a food drive in Minnesota, and even visiting the site of Floyd’s death and visiting a memorial at the site.

In short, Larson worked to better understand the plight of those who are socially disadvantaged and to become an ally. He spoke with Wallace, former driver Willy T. Ribbs, and NHRA competitor J.R. Todd. He worked to redeem himself after losing his ride, being publicly humiliated, and being labeled a racist.

“The first lesson: The N-word is not mine to use,” Larson wrote in an essay he released last fall. “It cannot be part of my vocabulary.”

“For far too long, I was a part of a problem that’s much larger than me. I fully admit that losing my job and being publicly humiliated was how I came to understand this. But in the aftermath, I realized that my young kids will one day be old enough to learn about what their daddy said. I can’t go back and change it, but I can control what happens from here on out.”

Larson has shown to all just how hard he’s willing to go to prove himself worthy by scoring three top-10s in the first four races, moving his Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 into third in points following his win in Las Vegas on Sunday. After boiling the tires and thanking the fans and his team, one of the first people to meet him in Victory Lane was none other than Wallace.

When Wallace visited Larson in Victory Lane, it spoke volumes as to how far Larson had come. Could Wallace have shunned Larson? Yes. Could the rest of the world shun Larson? Sure. But ultimately, it came down to the simple truth that Larson spoke in ignorance without thinking. People like Wallace recognized this and opened up to help educate Larson, and in return, Larson took the initiative to educate himself for the better. There isn’t any animosity. There isn’t any anger.

Rather, there’s hope. There’s compassion. There’s empathy. All of these things that the world needs more of right now. Not revenge, there’s no revenge here. There’s only redemption for Larson. And although some may think the Vegas win was the cap on it all, if Larson has anything to say about it he’s going to keep working to spread those ideals.

This year’s truck will be red promoting the spicy version of the seasoning.

“I use Dan-O’s on a weekly basis,” noted Boyd. “My nutritionist keeps my diet to a lot of chicken and fish. Thankfully Dan-O’s is low in sodium but big in flavor so my meals aren’t boring. I use it so much they even made a bottle with my face on it last year!”

Spices and herbs come first, none of that fake stuff like gluten, artificial chemicals, sugar or GMO’s. Unlike other seasoning blends, they’ve cut sodium to just 50 mg per serving, so that you can stay healthy while loving what you cook.

The namesake of the seasoning, Dan-O himself loves the interaction with NASCAR fans, “I spend a lot of time on social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook and love all the comments I get from Spencer’s fans. It will be fun to see the reaction to this Spicy Silverado Spencer will be driving at Pocono.”

Spencer and Dan-O did some cooking together last year and plan to do even more this year. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to stay in and cook at home. From simple recipes that can be found at www.danosseasoning.com/recipes/ to all day barbequing weekend events, Dan-O’s has you covered. The cooking duo wants fans to submit their Dan-O’s Seasoning recipes for a chance at Spencer and Dan-O cooking the best recipe in one of their videos.

How to change odometer mileage and test its performance?

As we all know, mileage data is one of the most important things in the car. Every buyer focuses on the odometer, besides other details before making the final decision. I’m sure you did the same thing while choosing your car, as we all know lower mileage means a longer lifespan for our “best buddies”. For that reason, it’s important to control and check the performance of the odometer, for avoiding any extra data on automobiles. By visiting SuperKilometerFilter.com, you can get a mileage blocker and check the performance of your vehicle.

What distinguishes mileage blocker from other tools?

SuperKilometerFilter.com allows you to buy a mileage blocker that can help you to stop the mileage in a car while testing its performance. By using the tool, you can avoid adjustment of the existing odometer data. Due to big interest, we’ve got many different odometer devices. Most of them sound quite attractive with their exciting features, offering odometer reset, rollback, reprogramming, etc. But remember software that can change current data on your car, might cause you additional issues…

Such devices are meant for fraudulent purposes and can solely remove the mileage/km figures from odometers. Car owners usually use mileage correction tools to reverse/rewind traveled distance. However, cars have multiple data storage units and such deceitful actions can be traced. Using the device might even cause a fine under the local law.

All about Mileage Stopper

The Mileage Stopper, which allows you to stop the odometer while testing its performance, works on a diesel-gasoline engine, as well as, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) and Electric cars. The device works perfectly whether your automobile counts mileage in miles or kilometers. The mileage stopper at superkilometerfilter.com is created specifically for each brand and model. For that reason, the compatibility is high and any car owner can find the tool for their “best buddies”.

Advantages of Odometer Blocker

There are many reasons why I’d advise you to use the odometer blocker from superkilometerfilter.com. Below I’ll mention some of them very shortly:

  • It fits almost every automobile;
  • The Odometer blocker doesn’t adjust the mileage data;
  • Easy to use;
  • You can install it by yourself with the DIY instruction;
  • The tool keeps previously chosen settings; hence you don’t have to set it up again after removal;

How to use the Kilometer Stopper tool?

Now since you know how useful the Kilometer Stopper is, I guess you wonder how to use it. First of all, you can review a wide variety of kilometer stopper tools at superkilometerfilter.com and choose the one that fits your car. Installation is very simple and the same for almost any vehicle. Installation might take you several minutes. You should simply plug the kilometer stopper between the port of the speedometer and that’s it! Now you can use the tool.

Conclusion

Now since you know how comfortable it is to use the mileage blocker tool instead of odometer correction, I’m sure you are ready to test it on your car. You can find the right device at superkilometerfilter.com and enjoy using its unique features!

5 Considerations When Choosing A Paintless Dent Repair Shop

For most people, having a brand-new car is always a dream come true. But regardless of how much you take care of it, there are certain situations that will leave your vehicle with at least a few dents.

While you may not mind driving a dented car, it’s still best to have it fixed so you can get the most out of its value. This is where hiring a paintless dent repair shop comes to the rescue. However, choosing a paintless dent repair shop is not that easy. There are several considerations you need to remember, including the following:

  1. Type Of Dent Involved

One of the important considerations when looking for a paintless dent repair company is to determine the type of dent on your car. By knowing the type of dent in your vehicle, you’ll be able to figure out whether you require a simple paintless dent repair service or a more extensive process to get your car totally fixed.

Below are the following kinds of dents to keep in mind from the get-go:

  • Round Dents – These are usually caused by hailstorms and other round items such as basketballs, footballs, and many more. When these things hit your car, a rounded dent will occur.
  • Car Dings – These happen during a parking lot incident or when small objects hit your vehicle on a windy day. These can result in a small crack or scratch in the paint.
  • Crease Dents – These are considered the most complex and time-consuming dents you can deal with because they’re likely going to stretch your car’s metals.

As you can see, there are different types of car dents you may deal with. Thus, whatever dent your vehicle has, make sure the paintless dent repair Colorado Springs shop or other car repair shops near you knows exactly how to handle it.

For example, you may consider working with professionals who use special rods, flat bars, hammers, hot melt glue systems from hotmelt.com, ratchets, and other innovative tools designed to remove car dents.

  1. License

This is another essential thing to consider when picking the right paintless dent repair company. Typically, dealing with a shop that’s not licensed can result in further problems and possibly even more costly repairs. Hence, if you don’t want this to happen, be sure to choose the one which has a valid license.

With a licensed repair shop, you’ll be guaranteed that its staff has the knowledge, skills, and expertise that make it capable to handle car dent problems effectively and professionally. And since paintless dent repairs aren’t DIY projects, working with a licensed dent repair shop is beneficial. This is also a way for you to ensure accountability, especially if something goes wrong in the course of the repair.

  1. Insurance Coverage

Sometimes, an accident may occur during a car repair project, even if it’s supervised by a skilled worker. And despite other essential reasons for having a car insurance, it’s also best if you consider choosing a dent repair shop that carries insurance coverage to ensure your car is covered in case of an accident or damage.

When you entrust your repair needs to an insured company, you can have peace of mind knowing that your car is safe and that the money you spent will be reimbursed when unforeseen circumstances take place.

  1. Use Of The Latest Technology

It’s also a good idea to pick a paintless dent repair shop that utilizes the latest technology in auto repair. This means that the people working on a dent repair Colorado Springs or wherever you may be located should be skilled enough in using technology so they can offer the best service for your vehicle.

For example, you may consider working with professionals who use special rods, flat bars, hammers, hot melt glue systems, ratchets, and other innovative tools designed to remove car dents. That way, you can rest knowing that your dent repair needs will be handled properly with the use of technological advancements.

  1. Prompt Customer Service

Lastly, be sure to consider customer service as a crucial aspect of the auto repair industry. For instance, when the shop you’ve chosen doesn’t address your queries or answer calls on time, it can be a sign that they’ll not take care of your repair needs promptly or they lack organization in doing so.

And since you probably don’t want to work with an unorganized auto repair shop, you should always keep into account the ability of the company to provide good customer service before having them perform repairs on your car.

Final Thoughts

Indeed, a paintless dent repair can be one of the best options to get your dents fixed and maintain your car in good appearance and condition. Therefore, if you’re looking for a perfect shop that can attend to your repair needs, keep the tips above in mind and you’re good to go. You’ll be confident that the company you choose can guarantee good results, and would always have your best interests in mind.

Mazda Commits to Women’s Initiative for MX-5 Cup Shootout

March 8, 2021 – Following the introduction of Mazda’s Women in Motorsports Initiative at the 2020 MX-5 Cup shootout, the Japanese auto brand has committed to keeping the program in place for the foreseeable future.

Mazda has long recognized the ongoing need for programs that support female drivers. The concept of using the MX-5 Cup shootout to support emerging women in the sport was an ideal way for Mazda to contribute to this directive.

“It’s fantastic to see the motorsports industry creating more and more opportunities for women to advance their racing careers,” said Mazda North American Operations Motorsports Program Manager Jonathan Applegate. “With the MX-5 Cup shootout, we saw the perfect method to contribute to the movement with a scholarship recognizing the top female participant. I’m happy to say that Mazda has committed to continuing this program moving forward.”

The Women in Motorsports Initiative is the newest chapter in the long-running story of support that Mazda has generated to help deserving talent connect with opportunity in motorsport.

The Mazda MX-5 Cup shootout was created in 2008 to give grassroots Mazda drivers the opportunity to earn a scholarship for a full-season of MX-5 Cup competition. Last year, Mazda added a $75,000 scholarship for an outstanding female driver that takes part in the shootout. Last year’s winner was Savanna Little, who currently drives the No. 63 Hixon Motor Sports car.

“Earning the scholarship from Mazda Motorsports was the kick start I’ve been needing for years to begin my career in professional sports car racing,” Little said. “Many aspiring pros know that it’s a game of hundreds of ‘noes’ trying to break into pro racing without being self-funded or coming from a racing family. Sometimes all it takes is one ‘yes’, or a few people believing in you.

“There is no other manufacturer supporting club racing in the way Mazda does, and I believe whole heartedly you have to support the brands and organizations that support your passions,” added Little, who hails from Austin, Texas. “So, I put my faith in the Mazda grassroots racing ladder system to help me develop the fundamental skills (not only on track, but off track as well) to one day be able to sustain a career in professional racing. I am still on cloud nine every time I step behind the wheel of my ND2 Global MX-5 Cup Car and I am looking forward to every challenge and opportunity to develop myself further this season.”

Mazda’s Women in Motorsports Initiative is about more than just funding, it is equally important to provide recipients with resources to improve their driving, data analysis and media presence. The Mazda family is rich with experienced coaches and mentors to prepare drivers for professional racing.

“In my opinion, support in the grassroots to the semi-professional racing is vital for women to get to the next level,” said Hixon Motor Sports Team Manager Shea Holbrook. “Mazda remains focused on fostering development, working with the driver, team, even providing mentorship, coaching and media. There’s been wonderful opportunities for women in racing but, the disconnect has also been, it stops where it started. Mazda furthering their support shows the commitment they have not just to women but to grow the industry.”

In the 2021 MX-5 Cup season opener at Daytona, Hixon Motor Sports fielded four female drivers and Mazda hopes to see this trend continue. Next on the schedule is Sebring International Raceway March 17 – 19.

About: The Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires is the signature spec series for Mazda Motorsports. Mazda-powered grassroots champions earn a Mazda scholarship to advance their career. The Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup champion earns a $250,000 scholarship.

Wright Motorsports Takes Points Lead in Sonoma Raceway Double Header

SONOMA, Calif., (March 8, 2021) – After a successful weekend for the first two rounds of the GT World Challenge America and GT America, Wright Motorsports takes the points lead for each series, earning three wins and one podium finish in four races.

In the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by aws, Fred Poordad and Jan Heylen made their Pro/Am class debut in the No. 20 Porsche 911 GT3 R, securing a first and second place finish in races one and two, respectively. Poordad competed in the Am class last year, and after securing the 2020 championship with co-driver Max Root, he advanced to the Pro/Am class with longtime Wright Motorsports driver Jan Heylen.

Fred Poordad started race one from eighth overall and fourth in class behind the Compass Acura NSX and a pair of DXDT Racing Mercedes AMG GT3s. Contact ahead between the two Mercedes in the opening turns sent one spinning off course, which Poordad was safely able to avoid. He lost a position to the TR3 Racing Lamborghini on the start, but after the early race incident between the two Mercedes, he was able to take back his spot and pull away to create a 0.5 second gap. Jeff Burton and the Reardon Lamborghini joined the fight, putting heavy pressure on Poordad. He led a train of four cars, running sixth overall, eventually creating a nice cushion for the No. 20. The chase between the Porsche and the Lamborghini lasted for almost the Am’s entire stint, with Poordad acquiescing in the final laps of his stint. Poordad pitted from seventh, and true to Wright Motorsports form, quick work in pit lane moved the Porsche up to rejoin in fifth position overall with a five second lead over Dakota Dickerson. He gained another overall position before a full course caution was declared, grouping the entire field back together. The race returned to green, and Heylen and the No. 20 Porsche drove to victory, securing the Pro/Am class win, and a third-place overall podium position. The pair currently leads the 2021 Pro/Am championship, with a six-point lead over Braun and Kurtz.

Since he finished the previous day’s race, Heylen started race two for the No. 20 Porsche, taking the green flag from second in class and fourth overall. The pole sitting Lamborghini had an issue on the start, and Heylen took advantage, sliding into second place overall behind the new race leader, Colin Braun in the No. 04 Mercedes. The pair ran 1-2 for the entirety of their stint, and Heylen pitted during the mandatory pit window for the No. 20 Porsche to get a new set of tires, a tank of fuel, and have Fred Poordad take over. Poordad rejoined behind the No. 04 Mercedes, which now had George Kurtz at the wheel. The pair held position to the checker flag, with the Wright Motorsports entry finishing fourth overall and second in the Pro/Am class.

Charlie Luck made his GT America powered by aws race debut Saturday morning, starting from pole position in the Masters class and third place overall in the No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R. He had a clean start and took second place with some pressure from behind until the car in second place spun, giving Luck a little breathing room. The race leading Mercedes of George Kurtz created a 21 second lead but was forced to serve a drive through penalty for leading the field to green two slowly. Luck assumed the class lead with 14 minutes remaining, though Kurtz, running in the faster class, took the position back in the final laps. In his first race with the Porsche 911 GT3 R, Luck secured the victory in the Masters class, setting a fast lap to start from third overall on Sunday.

Again taking the green flag from the class pole position, he quickly created a sizeable gap over the competition, and then made the pass over Jason Howard for second place overall. A full course caution closed the one second lead George Kurtz had over Luck, and they went back to green with eight minutes remaining. Luck maintained his position to the checker flag, taking second place overall and securing his second win of the season. His back-to-back victories give him a 17-point lead in the Masters class heading into the next rounds of the championship.

Circuit of the Americas will host the next two rounds of the two championships April 30-May 2. The series raced at the Austin, Texas circuit twice last year, where Wright Motorsports earned two wins and two podium finishes. Until then, the team will continue to test in preparation for the remainder of the season. For series information, visit sro-america.com.

Fred Poordad
Well that was a heck of a race one, and a great way to start the season at Sonoma Raceway. We struggled with car set up all weekend., but the team put it together for us and gave us a great car. Happy with the outcome of race one, finishing first in Pro/Am. We took our chances and opportunities when we could, and this is a good building block for the season. As for race two, I came out behind the 04 Mercedes, and didn’t have the pace to keep up. That was really the difference. Overall, given how quickly this season came about and how little we tested, I’m happy with my results and the rest of the season. Wright gave us a great car today, and I know they will for the whole season, so it’s up to the drivers.

Jan Heylen
We’re here to win the championship, so this is a good start to the season. We had enough pace to win in class in race one, and all that matters is we got the win and we got the points. It was not a perfect race for us but things came our way and it was sell deserved. We stayed out of trouble and gave Fred his first win of the season. Race two was a little more tough, but we did the best with what we had. We finished second and came away as the points leaders, that’s what we’re here for. Overall it was good. We had a good race weekend, especially when you consider we only had one test in the off season. I’m happy with the results and looking forward to Circuit of the Americas.

Charlie Luck
Coming from a Cup series, I didn’t know if I was going to be competitive here. The car is totally different than the Cup car. So a big thanks goes out to Bob Viglione, John Wright, and Jan Heylen. Those guys have given me such a good set up and have done a great job coaching me, even on nutrition and exercise. The support from my wife, Lisa and our family is incredible. This weekend absolutely exceeded expectation. I didn’t make any major mental mistakes, and in race two, I pushed even harder and was closer to Kurt’s pace than before. I have so much more to learn, and so much more to grow. We’re so fortunate and blessed to do this and get in the cars to compete like this. I think we have a phenomenal start.
