Roush Fenway to Broadcast Live Fan Day ‘Hangout’ to fans through YouTube, Google+ and Google Glass

NASCAR’s winningest team to set bar again with unprecedented digital access to team owner Jack Roush, RFR Drivers and more

CONCORD, N.C. (May 20, 2014– Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) will again host a live Google+ Hangout from its award-winning platform during its 2014 Spring Fan Day, expanding access to a live YouTube feed that fans can watch from anywhere and on any device. The hangout will originate from Roush Fenway’s Headquarters on May 22 and will begin at 9 a.m. ET. It will be hosted by Google Glass guru, “The Professor” Tim Moore, and is set to feature team owner Jack Roush, as well as RFR drivers Carl EdwardsGreg BiffleRicky Stenhouse Jr.,Trevor BayneRyan Reed and Chris Buescher.

The event will stream live nationwide on YouTube here as well at RFR’s Google+ Page here, so fans from anywhere can follow the action and engage with their favorite drivers and NASCAR’s winningest team.

“This has been such a great way for us as a team to reach so many of our fans and personally interact with them, it’s become a key component of our Fan Day program,” said Mike Mooney, Senior Vice President, Business Operations for Roush Fenway Racing. Mooney continued, “We’re adding new technologies like Google Glass live video segments this weekend to bring our team, drivers and the racing experience to our fans, whether they are at the track, our campus or their homes.”

A pioneer on the social platform, RFR boasts over 1,140,000 followers and 5,900,000 views on Google+.
