Westerman Companies Remains With Key Motorsports For 2011; Independent Team Celebrates Fifth Consecutive Season Of Partnership

NASCAR Nationwide Series team owner Curtis Key confirmed Wednesday morning Westerman Companies will return as primary sponsor of the No. 40 Chevrolet driven by Scott Wimmer for select events in 2011. Westerman Companies have sponsored Key Motorsports entries since 2007.

“Westerman Companies will be back with Key Motorsports in 2011,” Key told HardcoreRaceFans.com. “This is our fifth season together, they are a great partner and we look forward to our continued association with Westerman Companies in the Nationwide Series.”

With details of their 2011 plans yet to be released Key would only say the sponsorship agreement is for “several races.” Westerman Companies appeared on the No. 40 Chevrolet in 12 races last season.

“We are finalizing our plans with Westerman for this season and will have an announcement soon in regards to which races they will be on the car,” said Key.

Key says his team has 14 COT cars in their Mooresville, North Carolina race shop and will run the full 34-race Nationwide schedule in 2011. Captions:
