Student of History, Mattioli & CollegeComplete.com Ford Going to School at Darlington

Bronx, NY, March 10th, 2011………The “Too Tough To Tame 200”, set for Saturday, March 12th, will mark the 1st time that Chase Mattioli and the No.10 CollegeComplete.com Ford will take up the challenge of Darlington, NASCAR’s original Superspeedway.  Known as “The Lady in Black”, the 1.36 mile oval is steeped in history and tradition.  Built in 1949, the Darlington, South Carolina oval has demanded that drivers search for all the patience and perseverance they can muster.

“One of the main reasons I wanted to go to college in New York City is that I am a major league history buff.  Having the opportunity to race at Darlington, a track touched by all of the legends of NASCAR, is an incredible honor and more than a little intimidating,” Mattioli commented.  “I know that if I am not patient this track will not be forgiving, so Saturday will be all about self-control.” Mattioli concluded.   The No. 10 CollegeComplete.com Ford is currently 17th in Owner Points and will be a guaranteed starter, not having to qualify on speed.

“This will allow us to focus on getting Chase as comfortable as possible in our race set up and not have to spend a lot of time or energy on our qualifying set up,” commented Team Manager, Charlie Vest.  “Our relationship with Jennifer Jo Cobb provides us with this opportunity, as well as the use of some of her equipment, allowing her to focus on her Nationwide program, while we focus on our NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” Vest concluded.

The “Too Tough To Tame 200” is scheduled for this Saturday, March 12th, with TV coverage provided by Speed TV starting at 5:00pm Eastern.
