Team: No. 6 Blackwell Angus Ford Mustang Crew Chief: Mike Kelley Chassis: RK-654

THE QUOTES

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., No. 6 Blackwell Angus Ford Mustang: “I won my first ARCA race at Kentucky and I ran ninth in one Nationwide start there so I feel pretty good about it. It’s been two years since I’ve been on the track. Our cars have always been pretty fast there. Carl [Edwards] has been fast and won some races so I’m really looking forward to getting there plus we have got a cool design on our Blackwell Mustang.”

IS THE TRACK AT KENTUCKY BUMPY AND IS IT DIFFICULT TO FIND THE RIGHT GROOVE? “It used to be really bumpy. I did make some laps the last time we were there on it and it seemed to be really smooth compared to what it used to be. I don’t know if they’ve done something different or what.”

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE CUP CARS ARE AT KENTUCKY ALONG WITH THE NATIONWIDE CARS. DOES THAT CHANGE ANYTHING FOR YOU? “It actually might change something because we’re going to have more rubber on the racetrack and normally in Nationwide the racetrack normally doesn’t get really wide. It’s normally two grooves, the bottom and the middle. I think Cup cars are definitely going to make it wider so that we can really do some good racing.”
